  1. The thing is they rarely (not to say NEVER) expand on a mystery during the following season (same as Cherry did on DH), so loose ends in a finale are expected to stay just that. That's why I'm genuinely shocked people are going around speculating Marisol could've been kidnapped by Taylor or Nick or something along those lines: having a character go back on the run or be whisked off to jail (when they don't end up dying, that is) is their way of saying "This storyline is supposed to be over and you will never see or hear from these characters ever again till the very end of the show"! I think they've made it pretty apparent over the years, so I don't get why people still keep thinking like this. PS: What do you guys make of that "lusty look" Adrian gave Zoila at the wedding? Does that mean his old cheating ways are going to resurface? That just seemed way too "random" to be "random", you know...
  2. Never mind, I had skipped the "1-year time jump" tagline (is that how yoiu call it?) in the end. Fiona will never be back :(
  3. Also, what was the purpose of damn Fiona, other than to put an end to Zoila's charade and be yet another "rich bitch" walking stereotype? She LITERALLY showed up for 5 scenes and the writers never even bothered to explore her background, upbrining, business, personal life, etc. NOTHING! Do you think she'll be back next year and possibly be involved in the season mystery? If season 5 picks up where season 4 left off (and it kinda HAS TO, because there's no way the opener wouldn't feature the girls looking for kidnapped Marisol in her apartment), I'm thinking she HAS TO! I mean, they couldn't really be like "Yeah, well, 6 months have gone by in the meantime and she has moved away", since they can't have it both ways timeline-wise, right? Even though I've got a hunch they'll gloss over all that without a care in the world! Overall, this finale had waaaay too many loose ends for my liking (even more than usual for DM's standards), but I kinda saw it coming that they wouldn't be able to logically explain so much in 40 minutes and I chalk it up to the season being shorter.
  4. OH MY FUCKING GOD! It's as though they've been hearing my prayers all along, with them making Gail the killer! *___* By the way, that woman must be 7' tall! She was standing next to 5'9'' Mariana Klaveno, yet she was at least 10 cms taller... must be at least 6'! Also Evelyn "Carmen, what's going on? Please, tell me no one was killed or dismembered!"... I peed myself! PS: Was the woman at the shrink's office the actress who played Maisy Gibbons in DH? I recognized her by her voice.
  5. As if she were poor... o.O By the way, has it already been confirmed whether this is gonna be the last season or not? I mean, you'd think they'd already know by now, having filmed the finale and everything.
  6. Of course it doesn't help that her other love interests have turned out to be toxic or dull. By the way, I had to laugh at Adrian's PI taking pictures with that GINORMOUS camera in plain view in broad daylight... TV shows have such a misguided idea on how these people operate! Now that we know it was the director who raped Peri, we also know that he'll try to have his way with Daniella as well, and Carmen will rescue her just in the nick of time and the two will reconcile as a result (zzzzzzzz). Anyway, I gotta say I like Carmen's mischevious daughter: I find the actress pretty (even more so with longer hair, ever since she came back from San Juan) and I like the sass she brings to the storyline... no way could she be compared to annoyingly useless and whiny Valentina! However, I still don't understand what Peri saw in that room that night (unless it was the director himself, which would be kinda dull, especially because nobody talked back to her when she opened the door, which would logically be the case if a person was in there) and how she got murdered right then and there without anybody noticing (despite the fact that the house was crawling with people). It doesn't make much sense to me, but I'm just not willing to get my hopes up with this show in the mystery department. Oh, and how does the Circle come into play in all of this? Fiona was a bit disappointing to me: besides her annoying Aussie accent (or at least I assumed it was Aussie, since the actress is from Perth), which resulted in me only understanding half the things she said, she turned out to be yet another "rich bitch" walking stereotype, shooting dagger after dagger at poor Zoila. I seriously wanted to reach through my laptop screen and throttle her! I can't possibly be the only one wondering where Gail's sudden attraction to Adrian came from, besides (of course) the writers' need to move the Powells' plot along. I mean, she used to be faced with hunky Jesse on a daily basis and never put the moves on him, yet they expect me to believe she (a woman, no less!) would be so aggressively pursuing Adrian? Nope, not buying it in the slightest!
  7. But why does he have to be related to Kyle at all? Was there something in the show that implied it and I missed?
  8. Nope, he's way too young to be Kyle's dad. The show would never go there, it's ridiculous (not to mention the age difference with Francis). I don't think Kyle's father is relevant to the storyline at all...
  9. How did Doug retrieve information about Daniella's father in the last episode? He was just seen googling a bunch of stuff and, next thing you know, Daniella gets in contact with him. Is it supposed to be one of those "he's a nerd, so somehow he can get access to any bit of information" kind of plots?
  10. So am I to gather from this episode Peter is the killer? Because, when Shannon mentioned the "hot shot in the movie business" (or something along that line), the camera INSTANTLY cut to Peter. I thought they made it pretty obvious, and, considering the way they've handled past seasons' mysteries, I don't trust these writers to be particularly inventive and unpredictable in that department. By the way, is this whole circle thing all about a son born out of a rape? I REALLY hope there's more to it than this, because it would be a HUGE letdown (not that it would be particularly surprise me, seeing as this show treats the mystery aspect as some sort of "bonus" not worth losing your sleep over that much). Besides, I know he was a bad guy, but I find it really preposterous that Ben dies and apparently no one has been looking for him and the police didn't start an investigation. I found Genevieve really DESPERATE, coming on to the YOUNG trainer... I mean, I know she's had quite the love life and seems to be perpetually horny (despite her age), but even she wouldn't sink that low! She came across as pathetic. I have NO idea what the deal is with Carmen's daughter, but I found that last reveal interesting.
  11. Marisol and Carmen are the two most boring characters on this show, and I'm afraid they've always been from the get-go. The former had some semblance of relevance in the first season for being heavily involved in the mystery, but ever since then they've been struggling to keep her around and have turned her into a "Susan Mayer" kinda character: let's throw a new man her way every year to keep her busy. The latter... UGH, don't even get me started on that one! With Daniella gone, she's just gone back to being the useless character she once was: I was afraid that was gonna happen and it did! So what, is "let's sleep with the dorky/nerdy/geeky/socially awkward bartender" (who I'm pretty sure also appeared last season during a double date with Carmen, her lesbian boss and the woman's husband) gonna be her storyline for the remainder of the season? Double UGH! They could hold hands, skate off into the sunset together and never look back for all I care: they're THAT disposable (and to think I even like Ana Ortiz!). Also, am I the only one who thought it was totally contrived and out of character for Gail to come on so strong to Adrian? I had no idea she was sexually interested in him, she had NEVER hinted at that in the past at all, and the whole time I was just standing there with a WTF look on my face waiting for her hidden agenda to be unveiled. In addition to that, I don't know how I feel about Evelyn's plot either: I like her MUCH better sassy and deliciously evil... I'm afraid this umpteenth romance of hers might turn her into yet another dud. Overall, I'm afraid this show is on its last legs and they have pretty much run out of ideas, so they have to resort to recycling plot points or coming up with new ones that are totally unbelievable.
  12. Am I the only one who had been speculating Kyle and her mom were part of "the Circle" since their very first appearance? I thought it was painfully obvious when the latter came out and said "She's not goor for what I plan for you, Kyle" (or something along those lines) and from their shady behaviour, so I WAS NOT shocked at all at the ending. Overall, this was kind of a filler... and I still have no idea why Fabian tried to seduce Genevieve and where that plot point was supposed to lead! Oh, and "I hope you're happy: my skin has now touched polyester... and a piece of my soul has died!". LOL!
