  1. My opinion only. I think that Denise made a lot of errors by playing "cool girl" and throwing out so many intimate details about her sex life/Aaron's dick. I thought that throwing out "happy endings" was crossing a line. And I don't think that it's appropriate for a mother to throw that out on national TV. Sorry, I don't. If Brandi had said the same thing she'd be dragged- rightfully so. People have always worried about what her boys will hear from the show. On top of that, as soon as Denise mentioned it and made it a personality point- of course the other women were going to run with it. It's reality TV! If she didn't see the writing on the wall, then she's not as smart or media-savvy as she should be. Maybe I'm just old-fashioned, but I think Denise has been beyond inappropriate. Of course her kids will hear about it. As if the kids didn't have enough to go through. This was just poorly thought out- repeated often, and for the life of me, I can't figure out why Denise would keep up the "big dick" "happy endings" stories. If you've had a divorce and there's a possibility of visitation being "revisited" it's also legally stupid. She's not my mother so I guess I don't have to live with her choices, but...I do feel bad for her children. And then to prompt the, "What did you hear? How did you feel?" conversation on camera. She was clearly trying to build a storyline too. I think all of these women (for the most part) suck. But right now, Denise is annoying me the most. Unpopular opinion? Oh well. In my eyes, she's Brandi-lite. Other people may see this differently, and that's completely fine. And PLEASE, I'm not slut-shaming Denise at all, I'm just imagining being one of her children and absolutely cringing while being laughed at by my classmates. These people are selling out their private lives in order to seek a spotlight. I'll be honest, if was the daughter of Denise, I'd be more scarred by what comes out of her mouth than her goofy drunk friends talking about threesomes during a dinner party. Now, devil's advocate- Denise had a heart to heart with her children, and they're totally FINE with the environment she's put them into, and her bragging about private sexual secrets during their formative years. Children can't consent to this kind of thing, but...as long as we all know that Denise is super hot, sexy, desirable, and cool with her husband engaging in extramarital activities. The impact on the children? Meh. As long as the world knows that this forty(?) year old woman is still wild, sexy, and desirable! That's really what's more important here. I'm not going to take this woman seriously just because she wears some bootcut jeans once in awhile. Rinna's daughter- awful behavior, and I feel bad for saying this, but I really think she's milking the OCD excuse in order to acquire a more luxurious lifestyle. I have OCD (and anorexia), and I have never treated my mother like a human ATM or used guilt to manipulate her into giving me money for expenses because, "Well, I need it, I have OCD." And when that doesn't work, blame your mother for forcing you to be on reality TV. Heck, I may have bought that as a valid critique up to a point, but it seems to be yet another manipulative bargaining chip. Girl, you're an adult. That's your problem now. It's hard. It sucks. But many people less fortunate than you deal with it, and you can too. And you'll be a heck of a lot more equipped to deal with real life, than if your mother swoops in and gives you the world on a silver platter. IMO Garcelle was out of line. I've had employees ask me how much money I make. I was under the assumption that asking someone questions of this nature was considered rude in every social circle. Maybe not. Second problem with Garcelle- she's rarely around. When she is- she seems to ignore the other women (mostly Kyle), but she kind of acts above the group. I would not get the vibe that she's interested in being friends with these women at all. (Not that I blame her. I don't have a favorite in the bunch.) For the record, I don't dislike Denise more than the other castmates- I find Rinna and Dorit to be particularly annoying. Denise just happened to be the center of the last two episodes, and- in viewing the series as a whole- I'm not surprised it got to that point. Now, the idea that Denise is being portrayed (by Brandi) as this horrible person who preyed on poor innocent Brandi... Brandi basically made it sound like Denise had some evil plan. "Conveniently there was no other bed" "Her children were downstairs, there was no door, I was uncomfortable". Uh...well, at least Denise has a large platform with which to respond. I'm really not trying to disparage other people's opinions- disagree/agree it's all good. I'm aware that I'm finding fault with the two most popular characters here.
  2. Not a far leap, IMO. Would Emily be given the same consideration that she is giving to Shane (presumably again)? I doubt it. It's one thing (maybe) if you're a grad student with no kids and no responsibilities, quite another for any parent to stop parenting for (at least) ten days to study for a test that (s)he's already failed twice. Again, I remember being in the sole care of my father (who worked a difficult full-time job) while he studied for the bar and the patent bar. Life didn't stop. This is a along way of me saying that Shane's entitlement is ridiculous. He's either entitled enough to drop all of his responsibilities onto his wife, or there's a serration. Either way, being an absent father is a bad look, and their marriage is in trouble.
  3. Agreed. I was five when my father studied for the bar. My parents were divorced, and I'm sure he could've stopped visitation during that time period- but he didn't. Because I am his child. I still went over to his house on weekends, and we still had fun. I'm guessing if my father were Shane I'd have been out of his life. Shane isn't a single childless man, but he has the luxury of being married to an Emily. Emily studied and passed the bar, and I'm guessing that Emily didn't get the "Shane treatment", and still had to be "mom" everyday.
  4. Roseanne isn't the type to suffer in silence. Dan's lines were pretty blunt on the matter. What spoke even louder was that she hid her behavior (typical) and then was willing to let the kids or anyone else in the house get the blame. If it were explainable she would've explained it- instead of hiding more pills. First thing she did when Dan left was to check to make sure her other stash was still there... and that relieved sigh(!)... yeah it was portrayed as an addiction IMO.
  5. Oh, wow I wan't to live where you guys (the ones who never see racism) live! The "scared young child" thing happened at my neighborhood playground. In brief, some Muslim kids were kicked out by some white kids- the neighborhood received letters. I can entirely see a young child being afraid- all I have to do is go next door. I agree, that did seem mild to me. A high-profile hate group that I thought was long-gone (you can guess which one) held a public parade in a very close county the day after the election, so... not far-fetched at all to me. Around here racism is not the domain of young people, thank goodness. I moved here to get away from racism, besides my little bubble, you move over a few counties and it's scary. Beyond that, yes the Fox line was hysterical- and unexpected coming from Roseanne- props to Roseanne for allowing that. I also hated the episode- both as entertainment and as social commentary. The only point that was well done was the responsibility we have to help our veterans. I know vets who despise "Thank a Veteran Day" and "Thank you for your service" for this very reason. Well they sure packed in almost every social issue in the world. I don't expect this episode to go over well.
  6. Agreed. I don't think it's anything unusual or out of the norm to be offended by either. Hardly falls under the category of "actively seeking things to be offended by" IMO- more like "things I thought were commonly known to be offensive for $200 Alex". Ah, Ramona as Britney cracks me up. Still bored by Tinsley.
  7. I actually fell asleep during this episode. I hope things pick up. An Ariana/Sandoval break up would do it. Please, no more weddings. Spare us. No matter how much Scheana begs. The show can go on without her. I can't stand LaLa, she's all sex and money, and not in a fun way. Just in a... sad and weird way. Live your life, but I don't have to applaud it. Bragging about sugar daddies and that sort of thing on TV and instagram is just... not my cup of tea. Maybe I'm too old for this. Jax is the worst. The way he screamed at Brittany was legitimately frightening. Imagine if SHE had been the one to make a mistake. Tom Sandoval is getting weird. I used to love him, but now all he talks about is how Ariana won't sleep with him. Ariana and the horse- lost me. I was bored. I like horses, but...it just didn't make for interesting TV. Schwartz continues to have a weird obsession with Jax. He calls it Stockholm Syndrome. I call it an abusive friendship. The highlight, was shockingly, James. He was actually cool for one episode. I missed Ariana farting, but that is just odd. She's in her 30's. Everyone CAN fart. Most people choose not to revenge fart, but whatever makes you happy. Brittany- no words. The guy you "hope to marry" said "girlfriends are a dime a dozen." You're either in it for the money, or you've lost any self-esteem you might've had. Scheana- missed her! I count this as a plus, since I'm sure nothing she said would've added value to anything. (No, not even entertainment value.)
  8. Anyone else feel this show has gotten less...feminist in tone? Can't describe it...but it feels like new writers.
  9. Unfortunately, not a big LaLa fan. Or Raquel fan for that matter. I enjoy the originals. Though I can't stand Scheana, and think she's gotten worse over time. Total agreement that Britney is not some innocent lamb that needs protecting, however she is the nicest person in the cast. I can see what Kristen meant by "making us all better people." For a second there, she made a more "likeable" cast. The "I thought I could be the one to change him" was cringey. Stassi was even more cringe-worthy. Tom has mentioned dry spells with Ari before. Seems like an odd thing to bring up. I also thought the masturbating to her haircut was weird though. They're a couple that lives together... if he thought the haircut was super sexy- why not initiate sex? Jax and Britney will continue to make each other miserable. I actually don't think Brit is in love with Jax. If she were in love I think she would've stayed angrier for longer. I think she's in love with his friends, the job, the show, etc.
  10. Yeah, seems like a personal preference thing. I don't see how it defines a person. Some people are very social and some aren't. Whatever. I agree it would be odd if someone you lived with came home and nobody spoke the entire time. Re: Amsterdam. I don't think it's that odd to not speak over vacation, depending on how long the vacation is- what was weird about it was that Patrick was so condescending and very, "What did we learn? It's best for us not to talk about what happens while we're apart." Uh, yeah... if my husband ever said that I'd get a lawyer with quickness. The "What did we learn?" would be enough. The "lets not discuss what I did on vacation" would be icing on the cake. That's not even a good code for "I'm going to be doing things that would hurt you, so let's just not talk about them, k?" Gah, Patrick is awful. I take back every word I said about Ariana being condescending in the earlier seasons. Patrick could give freaking lessons on being a condescending idiot. Nothing he said was impressive, and it's sad that Stassi has to fake like she's beneath him. Stassi's got stuff going on. She's on a TV show, has her podcast thing, and I think some other projects. I'm sure she has good money. Who is this homely weird guy? And he has a SPORTS podcast!? Not what I pictured. Not that having a podcast means anything to me, but that guy thinks about sports enough to have a damn podcast. *Not dismissing Podcasts at all, I just have no idea how much actual work or knowledge goes into them. And please correct me if I'm wrong about the "sports podcast". It has to be something else......right?
  11. Patrick is pretty awful. Tom and Ari are always having dry-spells. Oh yeah, I believe Tom Schwartz was going to say something about "Stockholm syndrome" and then blather on about Jax. And did anyone else notice James' nose when he first sat down with Lisa and Raquel?
  12. Warning: Still can't keep the character's names straight. So two- potentially- three, four? cases of people trying to live life on their own terms, and outsiders- well meaning or not- interfering. I actually don't think that Mendoza(?) was sticking up for his fiance at all. I think he was just angry and said what was on his mind, which opened things up for... his fiance (can't remember her name) to say her peace. This was telegraphed in an earlier episode. Wouldn't be surprised if she doesn't want kids at all or has a medical condition. She did mention adoption. Mendoza made it pretty clear that he had no interest in that. So that leaves us with Claire. Claire didn't want to report, and I thought the storyline realisticly spelled out the reasons why. For her boyfriend to take things into his own hands against her wishes. Argh. Way to force Claire's hand to save poor boyfriend's job. What generations of women would've wanted in this situation is neither here nor there, as boyfriend is not dating some hymogenous pool of "women", he's dating Claire- who is an individual. If she didn't want him to interfere, she didn't want to interfere. I believe she communicated that quite clearly. (On another note, the Claire situation really reminded me of the Gwenyth Platrow/ Brad Pitt/ Weinstein story.) Sean- Not much to say, as I'm not that engaged with the character, so I missed the little things. Agreed that he was in a good place and shouldn't have therapy forced on him. It's clear that he has unresolved issues over his brother, but forcing someone into therapy- unless they're a harm to themself or others- is never a good idea. The scuffle at the end was so shocking that I missed who slapped who. (Yes, I probably shouldn't be commenting.) And then possibly the cancer patient. I like the actor on The Good Place, and I loved his character here. Story was a little murky to me. Wasn't quite sure what to get out of it, besides- live life on your own terms. (?) Go out on top? I missed the message, but I enjoyed semi- watching it! So we have three- possibly four cases of an "unwanted rescuer". I happen to be in the boat of people that didn't see Mendoza as sticking up for his fiancee. I'm sure he has some personal history that will put the comment into context, but it seemed more like a pissing match between the two men. The Claire situation could also be reduced to a pissing match. It wasn't as if her (ex? boyfriend?) was sticking up for someone he had no history with. Perhaps he was angry someone hit on (the woman he wants to be with.) Maybe he's angry at himself for not believing Claire earlier, and taking that out on Dr. Creepy.
  13. This reminds me of something from my childhood that happened when we moved from IL. Milo [last name] was summoned to appear in court to pay for a non-vaccination ticket in the county where we previously lived. Milo (RIP) was the family cat. But yes, where I currently live- a yearly is required as well. I'm not happy about this because one of my babies has such an adverse reaction to these vaccines, and has (typical) feline herpes, and other conditions. They live inside and have yet to make contact with another cat, so I feel the county is being a bit over-zealous. ETA: My cats get SUPER excited about their water bowl being filled. The house is kept very cold. Should I be worried that they drink (IMO) a ridiculous amount of water? One did have a bladder infection when he was a kitten, so when we adopted him at one we were advised to get him a fountain, but he's just as happy with a bowl.
  14. I am also an "avoid the carrier at all costs" cat-owner, as my cats have been through some stuff, and are pretty sensitive. Unfortunately, where I live cats need to have their vacs up to date. I have no choice in the matter, but I don't like it. My baby reacted badly to his first round, and has had slight on and off FHS (which COULD be unrelated). I used to have a fabulous vet that would come to my home to see both kitties, but she moved. I used a cheaper in-home service and they were terrible, but gave my cats the three year vaccines(?) They really walked in and walked out and handed me paperwork. My baby usually gets sick after vaccinations, so my previous vet used to space them out and do one of them as an intra-nasal spray. Anyways, I have my doubts as to whether the last mobile vet I used bothered to even give them shots, since they just barged into my home and two seconds later found me and handed me the paperwork. It was...very odd.
  15. Yes, we just had a very scary experience with my 7 year-old cat. It started off as weekly vomiting- mostly hairballs, then turned into throwing up multiple times daily, and bloody stool. Otherwise he acted completely fine. After the multiple vomiting sessions in one day, we ran to the hospital, and they did ALL the tests. An ultrasound revealed that he had IBD and can ONLY eat crazy expensive prescription food. We have two cats (the other is overweight by a bit), so now they're both stuck on this health food. They don't like the dry food (that's much cheaper) so we were told that we could add a rabbit protein wet food on top. Well, since the new diet- which has only been about three weeks- there has been NO vomiting and no bad smells from the litter box. As a bonus, the other cat has already lost some added weight. We can't even buy this food at Petsmart without his (the cat's) medical prescription. Aside from the price, it's been great. His coat looks better, he smells better, no more barf, no more bad bathroom smells, and he sleeps through the night in my arms instead of pacing- it also drastically cut down on his bouts of FHS. But really, the price of this food (and considering how little they eat of it-as they're grazers, and I don't want to leave it out for days... is something that will have to be figured out after the little guy recovers a bit. (We still give him anti-inflammatory meds on occasion.) Some cats and dogs genuinely need this to live a normal healthy life. I don't know if the pet store sells the RX brands, but if they do- kudos to them, because these foods are hard to find. Although I suppose they'd need a vet (vet pharmacist?) on staff, as we needed a vet to review our prescription before we were allowed to buy the darn food!
  16. This series relied a lot on themes that were happening across Twitter. Reactions on Twitter were predictable. Liberals seemed to like the ending. Trump-voters seemed to hate it. "Predictable the lesbians and WOC win in the end." seemed to be the sentiment. (Winning? In what way? Ally sold her soul.) I see this as a horror story to both liberals and those who voted for trump. Conservatives/Republicans against Trump likely had the most unbiased view. I'm separating Republicans from Trump because this was clearly about trump voters and liberals and the endless SM bantering back and forth. It wasn't a Republicans v. liberals narrative IMO. The show parodied extremism on the Trump side and extremism on the anti-Trump side. I don't think the show skewered the average Republican/ Conservative pre-Trump, but maybe I missed it. Essentially, the show showed what Twitter would look like if it was played out in real life. Nearly impossible to separate the two, since the season starts off with a cult pretending to be Trump voters trying to trigger Ally. Did not see it as a happy ending. Ally became what she hated the most to overcome her fears.

  18. Robin's feelings over (what I see as) a small issue, are so minuscule in comparison to Sam's (IMO) legitimate feelings about the separate bedrooms. I don't care if she forgot to ask ahead of time, it's a safety issue. Safety is more important than feelings. Meh. Robin was silent way too long for him to not be angry and just plain lying during dinner. Red flags going off everywhere. If someone I had never had sex with asked me to a vineyard for the weekend, I would not expect them to get one hotel room. I've never been with a man who didn't offer me a separate room. In fact, I found it downright creepy and presumptuous that Robin thought Sam WOULDN'T want her own room. This may very well just be generational differences.
  19. I'm so glad to be wrong about the internet bringing the cult together. From what I saw, Chaz was missing a hand in Ep. 1. Thanks show, for making me watch the AH tapes again. I'm not sure whether or not I believe Kai was a) in the military or b) has an IQ of 135. Beverly Hope, bound to save the day? I'm still skeptical that she'd join the cult. I also didn't buy into the idea of Kai turning people into cult members so quickly. I can buy Meadow, but not the others. What is the purpose of said cult? Soon to be fleshed out? What does therapist have to do with it? I imagine, that there's a connection between him and the smiley-faced chemical co. (He had those weird smiley-faced buttons.) Prescription drugs? Military drug testing conspiracy? Need more info on the random couple killed by being buried alive. Until then, I'll just enjoy the ride.
  20. I'm not saying that liberals DON'T say things that are worthy of skewering. My point was that Ally's character lacks authenticity (ha) for me. Not necessarily because of what she says... though she has some buzz-words down... but because of how she says them. I hate to level this criticism, because I enjoy Sarah Paulsen (to an extent), but something doesn't feel right about the character. It was literally only a character theory. Ally goes on and on to her therapist about how she "got better" and "got her life together"- not for herself, but for Ivy. Not too big of a stretch to think she's changed her political ideology- for Ivy- as well. Ally made it sound as if she was content to sit in her apartment for the rest of her life and watch her life go by- if not for getting better for Ivy. (That dialogue felt authentic enough.) I don't care if the show pokes holes into every political ideology on the spectrum. That being said, I do want the characters to feel like (somewhat) real people. Maybe her style of acting just misses the mark with me. Maybe it's difficult for me to take "gender normative pet names" seriously- as one of Ally's priorities at this point. Yes, making someone think they're going crazy is one of the worst things you can do to them. If that's all this season amounts to, I'll be less than thrilled. Though, with the call out to 4chan in episode 1, high-level trolling was bound to be on the menu. It's great that Ally is fighting back, but I don't think her methods will do her many favors. From our point of view, her actions look heroic, but from an outsider's perspective, they could easily cater to the "crazy" narrative. Ally's going to have to pull off a Katie Holmes at this point- get a lawyer girl. Hm, Ally slaps Meadow, Ivy slaps Ally, Kai slaps Meadow. American Horror Story: Slap in the Face. Re: Kai slapping Meadow. I expected Kai to be a methodical serial killer trope, or the controlled "puppet master" pulling all the strings. If he flies off the handle and slaps this inconsequential character in the face, then I would probably guess there's someone "bigger" behind him. Someone more sinister. Smiley face therapist would be the obvious choice at this point. (This is where I'm at now, analyzing the personality of a character who literally humped his TV and smeared Cheetos on his face.) Possibly power-hungry(?)/semi-powerful guy, propping up charismatic but unhinged cult-ish figure? I guess it's possible. Pharmaceuticals, hazardous chemicals, and small town politics have made a (predictable?) appearance. Kai and co. as pawns (brought together via the internet no less) used by a more "outwardly normal" character? One who presumably has more money (and pharmaceuticals). Decent storytelling. I suspect this season is going to disappoint some people. I don't think the "why" is going to be any big revelation. Rhyme and reason are quite possibly off the table. Just a guess. Maybe there is some method to the madness, but I suspect the "why" surrounding Ally/ Cult of Kai won't amount to much. Pawns that did it for the... reasons that will remain murky at best. The "Why?" from the POV of the (therapist?) may be clearer. (Though I do think some ends will tie. I do think Ozzy is wanted to lead cult part 2/youth cult- for many different reasons.) In this episode, the killing off of his beloved pet is reminiscent to the "eat your vitamins" "get stronger" desensitization thing that these depraved individuals are inflicting on this innocent child. In comparison to Roanoke, even when Roanoke's characters were mocked and played up, they still felt like real-enough people. Or maybe it's a straight forward narrative and bed-rest is getting the best of me. Maybe there's nothing mysterious about Ally at all.
  21. This episode was so jam-packed. Definitely plot-driven. It was full of events, yet barely any notice of event #4 because event #8 was already happening! Can't stand Winter, and believe she'd be fired in a second, even without the obvious, she is not a kid-person. Would a parent really hire that ball of sullen angst and gloom to influence their child? Has Winter played with Ozzy once? My prediction is that Ozzy is Kai's bio-son, and Kai is using Winter to desensitize him to gore and violence (taking vitamins!), because of couse as the son of the cult leader, he'll be the next leader. Somehow this will involve pulling Ally along for the ride, which is why I think he's been so set on her. This seems too obvious but, who knows? There are other plots going on. This episode made me wonder just how much Ally had changed for Ivy after meeting her post-9/11. Ally doesn't feel authentic. I know it could be a poke at libs who put on a costume of liberal superiority, but I'm guessing Ally wasn't a life-long bleeding heart liberal. The line "We don't allow cis-normative pet names." rang false. Funny line, but it felt like more of a put-on from Ally than an actual belief. Her phone call with the therapist also sounded like someone speaking how they think a liberal should speak. Wouldn't shock me if Ally conformed to Ivy's more liberal beliefs. Either, it's purposeful to the character, or Sarah's not acting to her fullest potential. Was anyone as shocked by that slap as I was? Kai slapping Meadow that is. I know- small potatoes compared to everything else! Kai slapping Meadow... Meadow winding up dead...Kai is more dangerous than I realized. So the entire town is being dosed in poison?
  22. This may be a good thing. My partner is usually in the room while I watch it. During the first episode of this season, he commented that I was "exactly like" Ramona (during the opening credits). What? I don't know if he realized how insulting that was or not, but since the wedding is less than a month away... I chose to ignore that one. Ramona??? Good lord. I hope that isn't true.
  23. Agreed. I call women past the age of eighteen "women"- out of respect. However, I have referred to myself as a "girl" and likely will continue to do so, until I feel that ship has (mentally) sailed. When will that be? Whenever I feel like it! As I'm not on reality TV, I feel that I'm offending no one but myself! Basically I can see both sides of this one. I'm actually liking Carole... THAT is a weird feeling. And Carole really does Tweet endlessly and everywhere about politics. I've never followed her actual account, but occasionally I will be reading through a political tweet storm, and sure enough Carole freaking Radziwell pops up with an opinion. It was weird the first time, but now I'm used to seeing that name all over Twitter.
  24. This cannot be overstated. I'm not buying Aja's story about her makeup being bad because she felt ugly or has acne. Women have felt this way for decades, and have figured out how to change the entire look of their faces with makeup. In the days of endless tutorials, the Kardashians, and her being a young queen...she's just bad at makeup. Though in comparison to prior episodes, her makeup was 1,000 times better this time around. I have to admit, watching Aja on You-Tube, I didn't even notice her makeup because of her dancing. But on RPDR, well, her makeup in the previous episode (when wearing that red monstrosity) must've neared about half the amount of Trixie's. And my goodness, Joan Crawford would've been perfect for Charlie. Voice and all. I cannot believe I ever thought Charlie could do Paltrow, as he apparently thinks he's 100 years old. (And has a bit of a Bianca- admiration.) Admittedly, I thought Charlie was 40- not 52. STILL, not close to as old as he seems to think he is. I really would love to see some of these audition tapes. Mainly Charlie's at the moment- was there live singing involved? If RPDR knew that CH didn't lip synch (even for her LIFE!!), did they just figure-let's get a cut of her potential profits and just throw in CuCu again? And was my TV on Speed, or did the editors take the term "Drag Race" to a new level on the runway? Did anyone actually get to see those runway walks? (Without having to rewind multiple times, slow down the speed, or get them from another source?) Bar Convo: Friend to group: Ru never dresses for the theme. Me: I didn't realize tonight's runway even had a theme. Partner: My God! You never listen! It's '90s night. Me: (Looks at Michelle) Oh! that's cool! RuPaul: We told the ladies to come out in their naughtiest nighties... Me to partner: ... RE LSYL: Worth note: My mother (who is more-ahem- mature than Charlie, and does NOT perform for a living, dances the room down to some Britney. All while cleaning her house at that.) As someone whose first concert was Britney (when she was known as a "good dancer"...) when "I Wanna Go" plays, you actually do 'The Britney'...Yes Trin! When "I Wanna Go" comes on and you don't even know the lyrics, well then "shame on (Charlie)." Even with a medical problem (barring something extreme), Hides could have learned the lyrics. That was a real... let down moment for me. Britney may not be the icon akin to the icons of Hides' liking, but for a moment, Britney WAS an icon, like it or not. If you were a '90s child, Britney's following (not career) paved the way for Gaga to rise to Fame. (I realize that is a highly unpopular opinion, many starlets did it before, and that GaGa and Brit had crossed paths before the rise of GaGa.) Another unpopular opinion: Nina has such a dark energy, that she's hard to watch during non-challenges. This last runway, Michelle said that Eureka(?) looked like a "street walker" and that she "loved Nina's look". I guess Michelle is nothing if not consistently inconsistent. Sorry, but Nina's latest runway (while I'm sure will be tooted to hell) was...bad. And didn't Jinx do the teeth-thing? (I know that's an annoying stretch.)I feel like I've seen that face before, the padding was too much (for me), and the basic - and I mean basic- outfit with crazy make-up and tons of padding, is just not my cup of tea. Nina rocked the challenge, but even during Untucked, I was worried that we'd have an emotional breakdown from her- and not the LaGanja kind. Something seems a bit off about her, yet she's able to pull it out. I hope I'm wrong , and that she's just shy. But I see some darkness in her, that will hopefully not overwhelm her. Poor Naya. And poor me for missing out on hearing Michelle lecture Farrah for resting on pretty! (Stupid group challenges!)
  25. Oh crap, it's so late that I cannot- for the life of me remember who Pee-on Greyjoy is. But I want to! Ohhh yeah, I knew I was missing some killer syncs... Raja and Carmen's too hot for TV? (Off to LYFYL thread.) Trinity has always been my top- heh. Now I'm thinking Charlie Hides, and Farrah Moan for a "well-rounded" T3. Farrah Moan, mainly/only if they do a S7 type-of final 3. Not a spoiler, I know NOTHING. Alexis= Miss Congeniality? Or is she going even further!? And, man I always forget Alexis, because I only see (non-All Stars) Roxxxy. Aja, you slay, and I will forgive ALMOST any outfit for those moves. Unfortunately, your outfit was TERRIBLE. And your makeup is terrible! Get rid of the nose ring for the next challenge. Take some GaGa advice. Though, come take photos of me anytime. If you weren't from NY, I'd be convinced you were one of J-Lo's backup dancers with your boy look. Nose ring, backwards cap- K-Fed cred. This was the second time that I thought Peppermint would do a tear-away, and was left cold in the end. Come through Peppermint! Show us a little something, something! Cynthia's CuCu: Okay, I love it (the phrase) now (when it's not overplayed). Context is everything. The explanation made it. I thought "CuCu" meant something more "Gia Gunn", so I'm happy to be wrong about that. Yep. Aja will be S9 Trinity. Here to clear, and when her time is up- she'll be given one of these classic elimination lips syncs: Adele, gospel, or slow, soulful Motown/Country song against Eureka. And then see ya, Aja! On Photo Ruview, R&R did mention that this was the first season in high-def. Hence why my Twitter is full of ProActiv/Drag Race mentions... poor Queens. (Dark paragraph ahead): The mention of Pulse on Drag Race: Drag Race has always given a palatable, easily digestible view of LGTBQI? issues to it's straighter, more conservative audience members through various historical and politically relevant mentions. If one more viewer understands the stigma that still plagues the community, that is one more person enlightened to the struggle. So I didn't see it as a bad thing. Younger viewers need to see that there is still more work to be done, beyond family struggles, family abandonment, psychological and physical diseases, Veteran's rights, etc. To NOT mention Pulse, would do a disservice to the show's herstory (Just my opinion.) And through Cynthia's story, we got a personal account, but we weren't beaten over the head with it a la a "Special Episode." It goes without saying, that the attack on Pulse was an abominable tragedy that we will always remember. May the universe rest the beautiful souls that were taken far too soon- by forces of pathological, nonsensical hatred and fear. These are the men and women we continue to fight and speak out in honor of. Stop reading here, because here's where I go off-course. Snatch Game: (If there's a thread I'll remove this.) I am ignoring ALL political possibilities, because that's TOO EASY. I know we already had a good Taylor Swift, but FM would have the look, vibe, and voice DOWN. Plus, it's been awhile. Since we recently had a winning Adele, I'd love to see a Lena Dunham just randomly disrobe, and yell out tasteless offensive pretentious hipster BS. Hides will probably do an older starlet, but I'd love to see her skewer Paltrow. I'd also love to see an Adore (Aja if you make it that long? I know some viewers hate Queens playing Queens though. I know it's early, but NO ONE do Beyonce please. She's just NOT funny. I have predictions for the rest, but they'll all be wrong, so I'll spare you. Though, how much you wanna bet there are two that choose the same one, and drama ensues? Please no again on the politically- adjacent characters, however I feel that's where we're heading- I hope that I'm wrong.
