I finally posted my thoughts up thread. Don't know if that's what you're referring to. :)

See I don't think she was willing to die for the cause. When Billy was ready to slit her throat,  to level the final blow to Silver/Flint, to make her a martyr, she talked him out of doing it.  I think she wanted to live to see another day to fight her war. She saw who Flint was , but she also believed him. She believed him when he said they could win that unwinnable war and I think for all her intellect and understanding of Flint, she got drawn into the very darkness that she worried Silver would loose himself to.

Well I think there is happiness for them all, at least for a period of time, and then as life goes on things will eventually change again and there is heartache and death. Regarding Madi/Silver, the shipper in me chooses to believe that they worked through this betrayal and for the most part found happiness until Silver inevitably became restless again.  I wonder if Madi became restless too? How could she not? Though her experiences were mostly dark, she'd had a taste of adventure outside of Maroon Island. She'd seen some of the world beyond the isolation of her home, a world that she was curious about and at one point, to a point wanted to conquer. Perhaps this is how she and Silver ends up

With regards to TI and Silver

      Reveal hidden contents

I don't recall TI stating that he'd be away for long periods of time. Perhaps I missed a paragraph or two? In fact, when he went in search for the treasure it was stated that the belief was he went back to pirating again due to his health issues and what was implied as the boredom that was married life. I could be misinterpreting this, but it sounded like he'd been out of the pirate game for a while. That's not to say he'd been sitting on his laurels for the entire 20 years since the "war" ended, but I didn't get the impression that he was away for  extended periods of time.  All that said, Silver made a point to say that he planned to get his share of the treasure and run off with the wife and according to him she was all in being as she was selling off his assets in Bristol in preparation to meet up with him. So I think there was still love, happiness and a connection there. Was it perfect, likely no. What marriage is?  But I think they were still very much together by the time TI rolls around. JMHO

One nitpick I had - "Savannah" was gorgeous, but unfortunately in real life is flat as a fiddle and has no mountains.  I think the closest set of mountains to Savannah are in North Georgia about 400 miles away and it definitely wouldn't be tropical and have palm trees. LOL

Savannah has palm trees and the climate is classified as subtropical.

  2. Thanks to those of you who watch the show so I don't have to. I'm having to ration my television media diet strictly,

But oh the irony of Mika not liking Kate's SNL opening at the piano because she thinks SNL should be funny First of all Mika has no sense of humor and has no clue to what funny is. Secondly, she is to stupid and oblivious to pop culture and a host of other things to understand most of the shows references, characters and jokes.  And even though she is of the generation that could remember the early days of SNL. I doubt seriously that she knows who John Belushi or Gilda Radner were. And of course she's never heard of Leonard Cohen or heard Hallelujah performed by anyone.

  3. I think Teresa will be back as a host. Why cast that actress for such a brief time? She could be the one who persuades them to rehire Bernard. I think Bernard was a real person once( why hire a name actress to play his ex-wife for only a scene?). Probably nobody who comes to Westworld gets out alive. Ford replaces them all eventually. I think it will be revealed there is another person(s) in the Ford/Arnold photo.

Don't find Delores and William interesting. Thandie is great but the Maeve storyline of the guys doing what she tells them to do seems implausible.

  4. I remember Bethy's fake laugh from her show. It wasn't any more believable than her fake crying. The only emotion she consistently and believably expresses is anger/rage.

Bethy has money, she always has, even when she was "broke" or "homeless". She'd probably be wise to squirrel some of current paychecks into savings as the Skinnygirl/ Housewives gravy train isn't going to last forever or probably even another 10 years.

i'm sure Bernadette was a doozy of a mother and of course Beth isn't obligated to have a relationship with her mother. Some people are toxic and are best avoided. But as with Jason and her in laws Beth has a public platform they do not have specifically a tv show and a radio show to talk about them. Bernadette has talked to the press and she has a right to defend herself against her daughter's accusations. But Beth has been shaping this narrative for years now, using the various outlets she has access to that her mother doesn't.

Boohoo big meanies on the Internet say mean things about Bethy. That's never happened to a celebrity before. Oh, the humanity! The big blue meanies must be stopped! Fan girls go to your battle stations! Madame Curie er uhm Bethy needs you to make the world safe for low calorie chocolates.

  5. Bethy famously said when she's done with someone she's done. I think that is part of her rage at Jason and his parents. They've served their purpose as far as she's concerned, sperm donor and co-stars on her canceled show, they need to fade away now. She has new co-stars, Kevin the driver, the new Julie assistant, Carole., etc

  6. Bethenny has posted at least one photo on social media of Bryn, it's a photo of her doing yoga with Bethenny. That's tame compared to her more underhanded ways of exploiting her kid with the Daily Mail photo ops. There have been at least two maybe three of B using Bryn as a photo prop. There Beth is with her daughter sharing ices totally unaware of the cameras though B is shown gazing lovingly at said cameras (similar creepy camera love gazing was on display with her lover Dennis in the diamond as big as the Ritz photos ). She's not the only celebrity to do this. When you see a photo of aceleb and there kid or kids in a tabloid in a casual shot of them at the park playing or otherwise looking all warm and fuzzy it was more than likely prearranged by the celeb and the photographers/tabloid. The rag or the photographer gets a call telling them if they go to this spot at this time this person will be there with his or her kids. Photographers then take seemingly unposed photos that the celeb parent was unaware were being taken. Celeb gets good publicity mileage out of the photos showing them all cuddly with their kids but not blatantly posing with them which would of course be exploitive and wrong so they work around it to the benefit of all. Except the kids. Celebs often do this if they've had a bad patch of publicity or are going through a divorce and want public sympathy in their favor. Katie Holmes did this a great deal during her divorce from Tom Cruise. One sweet photo after another of Katie and Siri bonding, seemingly oblivious to the photogs trailing  them.

There was of course the disturbing pj photo in which she exploited Brynn without having her in the photo. She claimed it was at Brynn's insistence that she pulled the stunt to begin with.

I believe B would have her daughter on the show if Jason would allow it and her public relations people don't discourage it. Maybe some of her rage against Jason is because he won't allow it. She really should have gone to a sperm clinic. She wouldn't have gotten her tv wedding but she'd have total control of her offspring. I thought her snarling about THEM during her fibroid dramatics was one of her lousier displays. She can't seem to accept that her daughter is part THEM, ok that's her father and her grandparents they share a gene pool. She's got some of Bernadette's genes to. She's not her motger's clone. I also think the thing she and Carole did at last years reunion where Carole claimed to have witnessed bad behavior on Jadon's part via the telephone was lousy. This was just a means for B to stick it to her daughter's father without getting her fingerprints on the knife.

Who knows what will be going on in ten years. Maybe B and Jason will have made peace and are able to parent Brynn together and this will be all water under the bridge. As for what has the potential to be more distressing to Brynn stuff her mother says in the media and the show about Jason or comments from trolls and "haters". I don't think there's any real contest there. Stuff B says or said about her father will be more painful. The other stuff can be explained away by people getting to caught up in the pro wrestling/soap opera that is/was Real Housewives.

There are of course unstable people  on the Internet. There are also these things called trolls on the Internet and trolls love comment sections. As far as all the hate and emotion people on these shows can stir up that comes with the dinner. The casts of these shows do them voluntarily and are financially compensated. And no matter what humiliations are heaped upon them they seem to largely cling to staying onboard. Aviva, Kelly, Jill all want back on. Luann will swallow her pride to keep that apple and that paycheck. Ramona will continue to be productions dancing monkey. Unlike some of the others Bethenny doesn't need the paycheck but she needs the cameras on her. Not in my imo to sell skinny girl . I think Skinny Girl is her excuse for being on the show. She could live a quiet low key comfortable life raising her child but she has chosen otherwise.

  7. I think as far as men go Bethy & Lu are both scraping the bottom of the barrel with their douchy, bald lovers.

Human nature is full of pettiness, jealousy and envy. Ain't nobody above it or 100% free from it. Sometimes bitches be jealous, yeah it's that basic. Basic human nature and neither gender has a monopoly on it. It may not be the whole story but that doesn't mean it isn't present and a part of the rancor.

Scolding ones peers from perceived lofty perches is pretty basic to.

  8. Bethenny is repulsive for dragging the daughter into this ratfuckery. And Dennis the Douche is even more repulsive for allowing his daughter to be brought into it. You're suppose to protect your daughter Douche Dad not the other way around. Why didn't you take the call you spineless lowlife? I wonder if Daddy and his monster offered to buy her an apartment or something? When dad is rich you bite the bullet and tolerate some of his slimier behavior sometimes. I can't believe the mother would be anything but distressed about her daughter getting emeshed in this crap but I can see her telling her daughter to follow the money and keep an eye on it.

But in the Battle of the Bald Creeps Dennis has overtaken Tom for the lead.

I can't manage any respect for Doris. Dumb, drunk and possibly drugged Doris. It must be awful to fear Bethy more than you love your man. Or care more about her goodwill than your own reputation. I wonder if Bethy spewed her bile at Doris's mother or her daughter Doris would grow a spine and tell Frankekstein to back that shit up? And how damn stale would that birthday cake be by December 26?

i frankly(see what I did there) think some of Frankelstein's malice towards Luann is grounded in envy of Luann's looks and sex appeal. Say what you will about Luann, she's not very bright, not very deep and can be an asshole but she is at fifty a woman plenty of men would like to go to bed with. Not many of them may want to marry her but there's no line of men wanting to bed or marry Bethy. She is at best an average looking woman even with all the work and stylists and she has nothing else to recommend herself except her money. She's the sort of woman who scares men with her hysterics, her ear splitting shrieking and aggressive motor mouth. Luann and all the others for that matter are at a disadvantage in a verbal confrontation with Bethy not because she's so smart but because they can't get their voices to go as high and loud as Bethy can which is a gang of alley cats fucking on the shriek register.

i also don't understand Bethy's obsession with that dumb etiquette book Luann put her name on. It was a book on etiquette not a treastice on ethics and morality. That Luann in private likes to let her hair down and be bawdy and likes to party is not being a hypocrite. Julia Child liked and ate McDonald's French fries that didn't disqualify her from writing about gourmet cuisine. The only people who don't have a public face and a private face are lunatics who go around shouting crazy shit and pissing in the street Oh wait.

Sonya is an idiot an increasingly bitter idiot. The others seemed to be tuning her out to some degree? Could she be gone? She really hasn't much to do except pretend she remembers who Tom is. Her belief that she's in tight with Bethy now is just another one of her delusions.

I thought Bethenny & Luann both looked ok though I thought Bethenny's outfit at the last reunion looked better than what she wore at this one.

Still think Carole looked good. I love McQueen and I think she wore it well and her make up looked terrific. And next to Ramona and Bethenny her hair could only look swell.

  9. Freddy was kind of like a cat wasn't he? A cat playing with a mouse? But in the end he did the right thing for whatever reason. Maybe he was innocent once to.

I found the Chandra storyline believable. People do crazy self destructive things. She was in over her head in a high stress situation with someone's life on the line, emotions are running high, he's attractive and working her, she's vulnerable. I don't think she liked being a lawyer either. But she's probably got a boatload of student loans.

Elaine May Jr taking off her high heels and walking out of the courtroom in her Tieks, priceless. I think she was relieved.

I think a more downbeat ending would have been cynical and predictable. It was messy ending in some ways but life can be messy.

That cat ain't going nowhere, he's made himself at home. The cat and Roberta Flack! Hand me a tissue damn it.

  10. Sonja got a good divorce settlement out of Old Man Morgan. She just pissed it away on legal fees and the lawsuit. Her kind of squirting.

The only way I can believe that Sonja was clueless that she was walking into a confrontation with Bethenny is if production was bending over backwards to convince her otherwise. In an actual situation it would have been crappy for B to unload on Sonja in front of her worker bees but even if they had gone into the conference room there would have been an audience with the crew and it was being filmed. I didn't see any actual tears just someone doing the you're making me cry act when someone was holding their feet to the fire.

I thought John showed restraint with productions dancing monkey Ramoma. I don't know how much all the players were in on what happened. Luann seemed to be truly rattled and her hightailing it seemed real not one of Dorinda's crying exits. I really don't know why John a man with a successful business would want to risk his reputation camera whoring on a show like this.

  11. The only way Sonja is going to get back to where she was is to marry another rich old man. I thought it was disgusting when she was going on about trying to send her daughter to school. Please. Old Man Morgan is paying and will continue to pay for the daughters education and for her expenses.

I imagine Bethenny was ramping up the outrage for the cameras somewhat. That and she seems like one of those women who gets orgasmic when she flies into a rage. But I've no sympathy for Sonja the ditzy victim act is her go to defense weapon like a skunk's stink.

Ramona is willing to make an utter and complete fool of herself to stay on this show. She gave up her business and her husband to make a spectacle of herself. She was so manic and fake this episode. And those ridiculous hair extensions.

  12. I wonder if the reason Sonja hasn't been able to hook up with reputable people like one of the shopping networks is because of the movie lawsuit. Once you've read the details of that it is hard ( for me anyway) to forget them. I agree to that she is lazy. She not only wants to avoid the heavy lifting but the moderate to light lifting as well. She'd probably do well on one of the shopping networks if she would focus and learn the ropes. Her daffy persona could even work in her favor. With the  right people helping her I think she could have sold some toaster ovens, oven mitts, cookbooks etc on HSN. But maybe honorable people either declined to work with her because of the lawsuit or they thought she was lazy and unwilling to put her nose to the grindstone. Or an unreliable mostly out of it party girl.

Sonja talked about writing a sexy book when she first came on the show even before she talked about the toaster oven so I don't think she'd be snobby about a Jackie Collins type of book.  Roxanne Pulitzer and Ivanna Trump slapped their names on ghostwritten trashy books. And if Ramona & Luann could get book deals I don't know why Sonja couldn't. Trashy beach book, hostess with the mostest entertainment guide etc. She may just be to busy partying and to lazy to seek out or take advantage of legit opportunities or maybe she gets involved with sketchy types because water seeks its on level.

  13. Sonja was born November 25 1963, John was born November 25 1960.

So weirdly that share a birthday but she's three years younger than him not six or seven years older. When Studio 54 opened in 1977 she was a thirteen year old girl living in upstate New York. The original owners of Studio 54 sold it in 1981 but it had peaked before that. JFK Jr did go to Studio 54 in it's heyday and other popular clubs. In college and his twenties he smoked pot and snorted coke but seems to avoided the harder stuff that killed his cousin David and messed up RFK Jr and Christopher Lawford. He wasn't a big boozer. By his thirties in the early 90's he was more serious his mothers death and the bad press he got from dating Daryl Hannah matured him. He wanted his magazine to be a success and to be taken seriously. This is when Carole met him and that's the John she knew though its unfair to assume that when John was young and sowing his wild oats he had no depth as a person. I don't believe for a second that Sonja Tremont Morgan ever met JFKJr. much less socialized with him. Is she saying stuff like this deliberately to try to stay on the show or is she that deeply ingrained as a liar and a con artist? Her lawsuit or her actions that brought it about show she hangs on to her lies as long as she can.

  14. I hope Ray's ex lets Junior go over to Fred Ward's house so they can sit on the couch and watch Friends and Kirk Douglas movies together.

Endings aren't Nic's strong suit. And he's awfully pretentious for a guy who loves soap tropes.

Since Rust and Marty improbably survived last seasons last episode I expected a lead to die in this one and Nic is a why stop at one sort of guy.

    Did not like.

I think Colin was the bright spot of the whole thing. His performance had a purity about it that transcended the bad clunky parts. Rachel and Taylor were good to I think they'll all come out of this debacle well.

  15. The wrap up will be loose at best. James Frain was 24 in 1992 which would make him a little old to be the jewelers kid but they hired him for some reason presumably.

He does seem to physically fit as Birdman. I wonder if they are going to do to Ray what they didn't do to Rust as the end, kill him off in a big display. Or maybe all three of them are going to be killed off. Can't dismiss Paul as a possible Birdman, might as well put all the cliches on the table.

  16. Hey, Little Stan! I know you're going through a horrible time right now and you'd probably prefer to throw and catch your baseball over and over again in an effort to zone out and not think of the nightmare that has befallen you and your mother. But, instead I'm going to talk to you about the upside of having your childhood blighted by the murder of your father. Give me a hug!

Is this the end for Ray and Junior? After all the exclamations of how the boy is all he has, is his reason for living, is the one good thing in his life, Ray bails after one uncomfortable court supervised sober visit with the kid? Will we ever find out if he is Ray's biological son or did this episode wrap up the Ray and Junior's storyline? Were all those redheads just red herrings?

    This episode was a mess.

  17. My impression was Fredrik was trying to be nice/polite. Bethenny and her broker have a Bravo friendship which are sort of like prison romances in that they can't really exist in the outside world.

I don't know what the big deal is about the kids playing together. If it happened there's no reason Bethenny or Heather would have to be directly involved or interact with one another. The assistants and the nannies would deal with it as they probably usually do. I don't imagine either Bethenny or Heather spend a great deal of time sitting on park benches watching their kids in the sandbox.

I think Carole knows Chris Noth's name. I think she deliberately said Mr Big and meant it in a mocking way. I don't think she really thought Peter looked like him either. I wouldn't take her Sex in the City references to seriously

  18. A little bit of Jenny goes a long way with me but I liked the actress. I like book Ian and I liked show Ian. I liked other things here and there. But I can't say I liked the episode very much. It's just to much with the violence and the rapiness. I wish they had not shown both flashbacks in one episode. I actually would have been very content if Jenny had just told what happened to her (briefly) with no flashback at all. It's difficult reading or skimming some of this stuff but watching it is a bit overwhelming. The people I know who are watching this ( all non book readers) are getting bummed out by the rape, near rape and the flogging and the violence. I've always thought Blackjack was a ridiculous character and an offensive one. Still not really feeling the this is a love so great I gave up no witch trials and indoor plumbing for it thing. I do like the actors who play Clare and Jamie and its their likability mostly along with beautiful Scotland that keeps me from throwing up my hands.

    • Love 2
  19. To accept the premise of the story you have to believe Claire would willingly stay in the past because of her great love for Jamie and the strong connection they have. I'm not sure the show has established that fully. Strong attraction, hot sex and indications they are falling in love, yes. But a love where you forgo antibiotics, no witch burnings, electricity and a husband you cared about, not so much. The book at this point had me willingly suspending belief on that score because I felt the intensity of Claire's bond to Jamie.
