  1. I had no idea Gucci made wallpaper! So much money for such ugly wallpaper.
  2. Maybe there is more filler depending on the cases. If it is something Dr. Lee can take care of in the same office visit, that means more filler. If she has to consult with a colleague or have tests done then see them again, there is less filler because the case takes up more time. I remember the case of Roger, who had horrible rhinophyma, spanned multiple episodes because they tried to do the surgery in the office and had to stop because it was too dangerous. Fortunately, most people with rhinophyma don’t have it nearly as bad as Roger so Dr. Lee can remove the extra tissue in the office.
  3. I rewatched Balance of Terror then watched this episode again. I thought this episode was well-done as a loose adaptation of the original. Both episodes highlight something about Kirk we might forget—his ability to think outside the box creates brilliant solutions. We saw this in both episodes a few times with figuring out how to shadow the Romulan ship to avoid detection and detecting them after coming out of the comet. This episode also added using the mining ships to look like an armada. This is why Kirk is the captain of the Enterprise, and why Spock respects him so much. I like Chris Pine better as Kirk than Paul Wesley. I think Wesley is a little too reserved, but maybe part of that was seeing Kirk through Pike’s eyes instead of having Kirk as the main character. I loved future Pike wearing the Star Trek 2 era uniform with the quilted turtleneck.
  4. This episode reminded me of a Star Trek TNG episode called Angel One that had a plot involving a matriarchal society. I didn’t like any of the three storylines in this episode. The crew lying to the Janisi when trying to open diplomatic relations was such a ridiculous idea. I have never liked the Claire-Isaac romance because he is a robot. It’s just too icky to think about. Finally, the John and Talia storyline was just alarming. I understand she was not trying to hurt him, but the result was too similar to real domestic violence to be entertaining. It was just said for me to see John be increasingly injured every time they had sex.
  5. When you start accessorizing your cyst, it’s time to get it removed.
  6. I think you are talking about Mira Sorvino and Christopher Backus. They are actors. Mira won an Oscar for Mighty Aphrodite, and she is daughter of actor Paul Sorvino. All of the people on this show are celebrities—it is part of the premise. I think the reason for all the garbage bags was because their house was severely damaged in a fire. That is why they are having their pool redone. Jeff said they did not invite him inside their house, and I wondered if that is because of the mess from the fire. It is probably still being repaired.
  7. His lips look fuller than they used to on Flipping Out. I suspect he gets fillers. I am excited he is doing more work for Fortune. She is funny, and I like that her house is nice, but not a mansion. No $750 toilet paper holder for her!
  8. When the egg salad sandwich appears in 3 months, will it be a 3-month old sandwich? Because … gross.
  9. Neither of these situations is that simple. Kristen didn’t hurt anyone by knocking down the construction, but it will have to be rebuilt which delays getting it finished. A more effective solution might have been to pull out her cell phone and either 1) call the police to have the guy removed from her property or 2) start filming him because it would look bad for his business to have a viral video of him tearing down construction he was contacted to do. Regarding the mountain climbing, timing and weather are important. You want to reach a place to camp for the night so you need to leave on time, and you want to climb when the weather is good. These might have been factors why Andy needed to leave soon. Clearly Kristen and Andy have some communication issues that he has some responsibility for, but it’s not all on him. Discussing raising assertive teenage girls is not a quick conversation, and not good to have when you are distracted because you have people waiting on you to lead them on a difficult climb. I find it astonishing that Kristen, a psychologist, was waffling about whether punching that guy in the face was wrong and does not know how to provide appropriate examples of assertiveness for her daughters. I realize not every psychologist is good at their job, but this is an appalling level of ignorance. She committed assault when she hit that guy, and I would think a psychologist would understand the potential harm caused by children seeing their parents act violently.
  10. I agree with all these points. My hubby didn’t like Obi-Wan as much as I did because he was constantly comparing it to Mandalorian. I love Mandalorian too, but that show had much more creative freedom as it was mostly using new characters in an established universe. Obi-Wan had to be very careful with staying true to characters that have been in several movies and shows. I didn’t think I would like the child Leia storyline, in part because I still remember the child actor playing Anakin in Phantom Menace, but the young actress playing Leia was very good. The excellent costuming and hair also helped as we had versions of outfits from the original trilogy reminding us of our adult Princess. I enjoyed this show in a different way than Mandalorian, but I still enjoyed it very much. For me, Obi-Wan is like eating my favorite ice cream while Mandalorian is eating a fancy dessert I have never tried before but end up liking.
  11. I don’t remember the exact price, but the screen with Seth Rogan showed a price of about $19 a minute for a private room with her. Superheroes on this show are often bad with money so she might have lost all her savings.
  12. I just assumed Homelander has a heightened sense of smell, but Butcher could be pretty smelly. He doesn’t seem to brush his hair.
  13. What is up with these people taking off their shoes and socks in public places? Tonight’s episode had the woman whose took them off in the park, and a few weeks ago it was a woman in a toy store. It seems fake, but I’m not sure why the show producers would want them to do it because it detracts from the reveal in the doctor’s office.
  14. It’s not whiny to want to go to Tashee Station and pick up some power converters! I bet that’s like the Tatooine equivalent of the Apple store.
  15. I was confused by that as well. Since Vader put the fire out once, why not put it out again so the stormtroopers could get to Obi-Wan? The only explanation I have is it was too easy for Vader to defeat Obi-Wan this time so he wants him to get away so he can capture him again. This would be consistent with how he lifted Luke out of that pit when they were fighting in Cloud City saying, “All too easy.” I love how Obi-Wan tells Leia not to talk and 5 seconds later she is yelling at a stranger to stop. She listens exactly as well as I would expect at that age. It is amazing the Empire lasted as long as it did because stormtroopers are incompetent. I kept waiting for them to connect the dots and realize the random guy hanging out in the middle of nowhere was the the Jedi they were looking for in that very area.
  16. Well that sucked. Who has a corrupt CIA agent and a crazy stalker trying to kill them at the same time? Not a politician—a flight attendant. Also, Annie’s wedding seemed full of random people. There was a guy dressed like he was about to ride a horse.
  17. Was there an explanation given about why it was so long between that guy’s first visit to Dr. Ebonie and his surgery? It seemed like that tumor was causing him a lot of pain and growing so I would assume he would want it removed ASAP.
  18. I am sure the doctors taking off the socks and shoes is just for the TV show. I joke with my hubby that it lets us know the money shot is coming. I also suspect Dr. Brad operating with Dr. Sarah is mostly for the TV show so he has a convenient way to say what is happening during the procedure. Sometimes another doctor may be needed for a complicated surgery, but this week’s callus removal surgery did not need Dr. Sarah. I don’t mind because I like her and I think their conversations live are better then the taking head narrative afterwards.
  19. So happy this show is back! I don’t know how I feel about Dr. Brad moving to NYC. Did Dr. Sarah come with him? She did the surgery with him, but nothing was mentioned about her moving. Usually only the toenail removals freak me out, but Dr. Ebonie putting that rod through the bottom of the woman’s foot was hard to watch. At least it worked. I don’t understand how she could have been walking around on a broken bone all those years. X-rays?
  20. Jerry West did not become general manager of the Lakers until 1982. Before that he was a scout. I think the show is playing it loose with West’s role in 1980 when McKinney was fired, but I don’t think it is presenting West as a GM. So I agree with you in principle about the roles of the owner and GM, but it was right back then for Buss to make the call about McKinney. McKinney had memory problems for the rest of his life so the show might be close to reality with this issue. It is strange sometimes what the show chooses to be factual about and what it makes up. If I were Cookie or Magic, I might be really angry about that pregnant friend storyline. I’m sure they have tough skin, but still it seemed so unnecessary to have that in the show. There was so much real drama with McKinney, Haywood, Magic and Bird, etc. the show does not need to create more.
  21. Perhaps she didn’t think about it bring there since not all hotel rooms have minibars and she was probably distracted by trying to find Meghan.
  22. I can’t believe this show is done for the season already. How cruel of the producers to set up two new mysteries for season 2. If it means Sid will be back, I may forgive them. I loved Hassan explaining was a folly is to Curley. This show is entertaining and educational.
  23. I’m guessing she will end up being Cassie’s double. Who better thank Kaley’s real like sister?
  24. The Capital One Arena where the Washington Wizards and NHL team Washington Capitals play now is downtown. That was built in the late 1990s and was called the MCI Center (then Verizon Center). Before that, they played in Landover. I remember when the arena opened downtown. It was amazing. Getting to Landover for a game was hell.
  25. I remember that guy. He had a HUGE fear of doctors. Dr. Lee let him have a smoke break during the procedure because he was so jittery. I bet Dr. Lee wished she could give him general anesthesia! I understand why she doesn’t do that in her practice, but some people can’t handle being awake during a procedure.
