  1. I miss the days when you didn't practically have to do an Olympic floor routine to win a lipsync for your life on this show. The cartwheels, deathdrops and whatnot happen so frequently for seemingly no reasons or connection to songs.
  2. Ginger's whole schtick about not being able to sew is super annoying since she's been nominated/won awards for what? Best Costume Design.
  3. The Jon and John Recap of this episode is hilarious, especially when they point out that if you want to win this challenge, make a corseted tutu since it worked for Alaska, Adore and now Violet.
  4. The only thing less settle than Pearl's redemption arc is the one that they crafted for Violet. But at least this episode she and Katya really turned the party. I was surprised they didn't get as much praise for their voguing because they both really brought in that regard. I feel like Trixie and Ginger were already hamstrung with a terrible mash-up. Plus people always joke that doing the robot on this show always dooms you (Manila, Pandora).
  5. I wish there were more challenges that could be related to what these queens actually have to do: make your own merchandise, come up with an idea for a World of Wonder YouTube series, etc.
  6. If someone was on their A-Game, someone should've worn a Santino design for ugliest outfit.
  7. The editing is incredibly wonky this year. The overuse of the "shade button" noise is one really noticeable thing this year because it's being used on like every other statement someone makes. It also doesn't help that Ru seemed like she was sleepwalking through most of her walkthroughs in the little footage of the work room we get. The dismissal of Trixie and then bringing her back felt like a total producer manipulation. Miss Fame's ability to escape the bottom two for so long was another thing that had me side-eyeing the show. The best episode of the season was the Conjoined Twins. It felt like other seasons of the show, especially with all of the work room footage.
  8. I always think that the show went off the rails in its first season because of the writer's strike. You end the first 13 episodes with Blair and Serena swearing to take down the Upper East Side and then you come back in the next episode and Serena is telling Blair to play nice with Jenny and it was just so frustrating to me because I really wanted to see Blair and Serena team up to get revenge. This was like the first of many "set up/then fail to deliver" things that happened over the run of the show.
  9. The scripting on the show is so ridiculous, I have to just accept this show as a scripted soap opera and call it a day. How else can you have things like Karlie Redd's terrible delivery of "OMG Rasheeda," Rasheeda apparently able to "sneak in" Kirk's apartment and surprise him with her own film crew and everything that has to deal with Joseline's return to the show.
  10. That lipsync was on some Honey Mahogany/Vivienne Pinay level of terrible. I previously had thought that Pearl was trying to channel rocker girl energy in her "Dreaming" lip sync but clearly that's all she can do. "I Really Don't Care" is such a high energy song and neither one of them brought it.
  11. You can't tell me that there wasn't some shade being thrown at Dempsey when the basic action that started this whole debacle is a car speeding down the road like a race car.
  12. What a terrible episode. The only good parts were the "Give me the papers" scene and the flashbacks. The rest was just a whole let of meh. The only death on this show that I ever thought they truly did well was George's. I never was particularly invested in the MerDer relationship but it just seems like a huge disservice for people who have been invested in this couple for a decade, especially the incredibly gross use of a fakeout scene.
  13. I love how Joseline doesn't even have to be in the episode for her to be the center of attention.
  14. This was easily best episode of the season, mainly because we got all the work room footage we were starving for.
  15. Kim getting mad about people talking about her private life while being a reality show is like the definition of chutzpah.
  16. I think the highlight of the episode was Andy and company calling Kim out on her bullshit tactic of insinuating something and then immediately backtracking because she doesn't want to talk about it on camera.
  17. My favorite part of Untucked was Ginger complaining about how Max is a bitch off-camera. I don't know if it's true or not but I sort of want it to be if only because it makes Max smart enough to know not to give the editors material to give you a bitch edit.
  18. The Untucked for this episode made me like Jaidynn and Kandy a lot more and made my opinions of Ginger and Kennedy go down further. I really liked how when Ginger tried to say stuff about people wearing the same look every week, Jaidynn didn't take the bait and instead said stuff about everybody having their own gig. Kennedy had a completely inflated sense of self since she did awful in the group challenge and her runway look was atrocious and she has the nerve to critique other people's ensembles.
  19. The first few minutes of the show almost reached parody levels of ridiculous with the use of the "shade button" after almost every single comment before the opening credits.
  20. I thought Kathy Griffin was an odd choice since her comedy is not really a set-up/punchline type of deal that works best for an award show. They should've gotten Bruce Vilanch to coach them.
  21. Only on this season of Drag Race can Pearl upgrading her energy from a corpse to a zombie could be a viable part of a redemption arc.
  22. In some ways, Trixie Mattel reminds me of Mariah Balenciaga in terms of their boy talking heads being infinitely funnier than what they brought to the table in their drag personas.
  23. The problem with Phaedra is that she's in a Boy Who Cried Wolf situation. She's lied so consistently and thoroughly over her run of the show that'd be difficult for people to believe her if she was actually telling the truth about stuff now.
  24. I don't buy Tom being scared of the girl because he clearly could've done what he did the second time she showed up: call security and have her escorted out.
  25. I just love how Jax is always called a pathological liar UNTIL people need him to backup some story or shed light on something. Suddenly he's the most reliable of sources.
