  1. The central premise of the show is that they are being followed by a camera crew so them freaking out over a student posting the video did not make sense to me since they were on camera regardless of the student filming them.

I think the reason Heather covered for Jen with the black eye wasn't Stockholm Syndrome, but acting out of loyalty to Jen. I suspect what happened was that Jen and Heather knew Jen gave her the black eye, and it was an accident, but wanted to cover it up anyway because Jen was still fighting charges in court. She hadn't pled guilty, yet, and was still claiming her innocence. She probably begged Heather not to say anything about her giving her the black eye, because it could ruin her in court, for sure, so Heather pretended she blacked out and didn't know. Now, that Jen's in jail, Heather doesn't have to cover for her. Still doesn't explain Heather blaming production, but explains the covering for Jen.

I could go for this theory IF Heather had just been like "Oh I hit my face on a door" or something. But she kept being intentionally vague in a way that would only invite more scrutiny onto herself and Jen so the protecting Jen thing sort of falls apart.

It'd be very different if say Heather said, "This accident caused my black eye" and the woman kept needling her and implying that it was Jen and she lied in that moment to protect her. Instead, she used vagueness as a way to put herself front and center of a lot of the drama at the end of the season.

  3. I do wish there was more fourth wall breaking because all the hand wringing over Angie K showing up to the girls trip seemed ridiculous a bit because it's not a girls trip, it's a work function for  the show and she's a cast member on the show.

I was shocked that Heather would allow herself to get so drunk on camera after the black eye stuff last season. Even drunky mcdrunk Sonja Morgan would occasionally course correct and dial back the drinking every few seasons.

  4. This is the season of the puffer coat.

Every time someone says "referential" it just tickles me because it feels even shadier than saying copied

I immediately thought of Mugler when Bishme's outfit came out. It looked straight out of a George Michael's Too Funky video.

  5. In sketch form, Brittany's look rang a lot of "I've seen Harry Styles already wear this outfit before" alarm bells so calling it "referential" was a tactful bit of semantics. In some ways, the outfit is like the greatest hits of Harry Styles because the sheerness of the top is from his MET Gala look, the bow from his Gucci, etc.

  6. The casts of the two shows getting tipsy together was delightful in the way that harkened back to the far more freewheeling early years of Project Runway. Wasn't there even a whole story point in the first season about the model Morgana getting too drunk and messing up her outfit before the runway?

Bishme's coat was amazing. On the subject of coats, I am sick of the oversized puffer coats that seem to make a regular appearance on the runway.

The best talking head of the episode was Laurence talking about exactly how many puffer coats are they going to make this season of the show.

  8. On a better show, Carrie going from someone in season one of Sex and the City watching one of her guy friend's sex videos to being someone who can't seemingly deal with any sex talk would be a conversation about aging and becoming more conservative and what that means and if that is good/bad and how she fits into the greater cultural moment. This is not that show.

  9. I couldn't believe they loved Kara Saun's dress because if little ole me from Wisconsin can be like I've seen that exact dress before but done in black, I don't know why they were so enthralled by it.

I would've eliminated Anna or Brittany. You sent down a dress that could be bought at any David's Bridal RIGHT NOW.

I thought it was super clear in that break talk before Raquel left that  neither one of them is in love with the other. They were two friends who fucked and he was never going to leave Ariana (for the money issues at least), like he literally said he loved her more than he's ever loved anyone, including his robot bimbo. I really did appreciate even amongst all the vitriol that Ariana's side of the room kept warning Raquel this is her future if she stays with him, and I think it sunk in hence the six day later non reveal reveal.

The only reason why either of them said that they were in love with the other was trying to make this whole at least for the moment not seem like it was all for nothing. Which it completely and totally was.

For all of Raquel's perceived dimness, I think she is smarter than people give her credit for because she did All About Eve her way onto the show and managed to keep herself in the spotlight with this and she probably knew that dismantling Tom in interview was a way to sort the process for someone to be friendly to her in the cast. AS much as they don't like her, they are all opportunists who hate Tom more so I think she would have no problem being used as an axe to wield at him for her own self-preservation on the program.

  11. I truly hate how Lala and James are using the Scandoval to retroactively act like their past behavior wasn't awful.

Also I'm incredibly sympathetic to Ariana but I also remember what a Cool Girl asshole she was when she breezed into this show so her constant yelling about karma when this would be her own karma to a degree is wild.

  12. Quote

Lisa and Ken are listed as two of the executive producers of VR, so she may have some say as to who goes and who doesn't.  I'm not saying that Lala won't be back (she probably will), but merely saying that Lala shouldn't necessarily bite the hand that "feeds" her (and Ocean, and probably Lala's mother, too).

I don't know, Bravo had no problem getting rid of Mariah from Married to Medicine and she had far more of a hand creating that show than LVP. And this point the central premise has basically evaporated.
