  1. Weird and frustrating interview. This is the ol’ “Don’t blame me!” Defense. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.etonline.com/veronica-mars-producer-admits-there-was-debate-over-controversial-season-4-ending-exclusive-129169%3famp
  2. So, yuck. That’s how I felt about this episode. Not just killing off Logan... So I know that everyone loves Fargo and Justified. I like them too. But I like my “Veronica Mars” a little more tension-filled, dramatic, and little less melancholy and “realistic.” What a hopeless drudgery these last two episodes were. The reveals weren’t exciting, the dialogue had no real pep or wit, the stories seemed rush and dread hung in the air. The exceptions were the shootout and the bomb defusing. But two good scenes don’t make a good two hours of TV. I just felt these last two episodes were a little boring, wandering and strangely paced. My show grew up, I guess, but I didn’t need it too — and it’s now just the tone and style of so many other shows -- that do it so much better. Why were there so many hanging character and plot threads? Way too many — and they are never coming back to Neptune to revisit them? What a waste! Not everything needs to be wrapped up, but in a show with a voiceover, for God’s sake, the threads can at least be addressed as unresolved. This just seemed like they forgot about things. Finally, the Logan of it all. I echo what so many of you said. What a waste- even if they wanted to kill him, this was so not the way to do it. VM was at its best when she cared about the person who was killed...had his character not earned at least a murder mystery about his death? What a wasted opportunity. His death is just a PS: screw you - to the fans. He was a naval intelligence officer! She’s going on the road...could that not have been the first mystery? Jeez... this was just pointless. I guess that was the point- to make it feel meaningless and random and mundane. Not to mention totally hopeless. To me, that’s not stylized noir— that’s straight up almost EVERYTHING IN REAL LIFE AND TV in the year 2019. I didn’t need this show to bring me that feeling too. So yuck... I guess she now becomes a feminist Equalizer. Admittedly, an interesting premise for a new show. But it didn’t need to be Veronica Mars.
  3. The last paragraph in the Den of Geeks' review is particularly ominous: I don't think it sounds like anything good...she's dead? Keith's dead? Logan's dead? It seems like a particularly pointless device to make so much of the season about Logan and Veronica having real relationship troubles -- and attempting to become functioning adults -- then kill him off. That would not be character growth to me. But that makes me really worry about Keith. I'm nervous...that's all I'm saying.
  4. For example, this review has me particularly worried: https://www.google.com/amp/amp.denofgeek.com/us/tv/hulu/282209/veronica-mars-season-4-review-spoiler-free
  5. Haven’t posted on this site in forever! So glad someone started this support-group/spoiler thread. Yes, the social media hiatus and sour-note ending with many of the reviews, has me VERY WORRIED. But I keep reading them all in hopes for more clues. If they are going to kill off Logan or Keith, I’m better off being prepared.
  6. This show is now terrible. It makes me sad. I used to excitedly anticipate episodes and now this... I tuned in last night after a self-imposed sabbatical, and it was as soul-sucking as I believed it would be. I did like the Felicity-Diggle scenes. They required a complete suspension of all canonical knowledge of the show to NOW question whether they would use information learned about people through Felicity's hacking to be off limits, but I still like EBR and DR - and, for the most part, their characters. Why would they take everything the fans loved about the show (or even loved to hate about the show) and smash it to smithereens? This reporter lady is the worst. Curtis's story is sad -- not enjoyably sad, just pathetic sad. Wild Dog is pointless. Good Lord with the Dinah character. It's like they really do believe women are simply interchangeable. Thea is a walking shell of her former self. Quentin too. And Oliver has now become too dumb for words -- both with his new "friend" and his new "girlfriend." Oliver is the live-action Charlie Brown who keeps trying to kick the football. My 10-year can't figure out who's dumber: Oliver or Barry? They are in a competition every week. My KIDS have given up on this show because the protagonist is too stupid. That should tell us all something.
  7. Agreed kismet. I too was a Josh/Donna shipper, but The West Wing was an extraordinary show and shipping only added to my enjoyment. And I also loved Buffy/Angel, and Veronica/Logan. But, again, I felt like those were actually good shows and the writers wanted me as their audience for the primary stories, and, therefore, wrote stories I would care about, irrespective of the romance. But who am I kidding? I mostly watch Arrow for Olicity and the character of Felicity. It's not a particularly good show - nor one I am proud of watching. Sure, I like Oliver, but I've only ever loved his character when he started loving Felicity. I will continue to shadow you guys around here, but I think I'm done watching the show until the crossovers. Those will at least be event storytelling. Maybe not good storytelling, but worthy of watching the shows, I think. Then I will wait to watch if there is some shipper hope later in the season. Despite it's darkness, this is a silly show, which doesn't really have much to say of social relevance or artistic pertinence, especially because they have never made OQ the social crusader of the comic books . It's one thing when its fantasy and silliness was catering to me, but it's another when it's catering to mysoginistic fanboys. I'm not on twitter, but Guggenheim really pissed me off with his comment. Screw him. I think I will stop watching altogether. It's like he dared me to, and I accept.
  8. Really, I don't think Val is dead. At least, there is an opening. She could have told them to turn around the plane so they could jump out of it close to shore with parachutes. I think that this is a fairly standard trope with action shows...midway through the season show her point of view before she meets up with the rest of the crew. Of course, anything could happen, I guess, depending on actress availability but this is the type of head fake that often happens. -and I don't feel terribly strong about anything with this show. It's just something I watch in the summer to pass the time. And, of course, the pretty people don't hurt...
  9. Tv echo---actually watching TMNT interviews is going above and beyond. I wish we could give you a cyber award. Sinceriously...
  10. I have no idea if SA was disgruntled to be there or not. He could have just not been smiling because he was tired. I find his schedule exhausting. Being him would wear me out. But at this point, I think it's probably just good business for him to start to command a little more respect from the CW - and perhaps the whole Berlanti team. His show is the flagship. He is the lead. If Arrow would have failed -- and it most assuredly would have without his (1) physical prowess and (2) acting ability (these are in the right order) -- then the rest of this would not be happening. It's that simple. He's basically the TV version (poor man's version) of Robert Downey Jr. at this point. They really give him very little kudos - or acknowledgement. Since I follow you guys following him on social media, I know he can be a bit of a prima donna. However, at this point I think his "team" (whoever they are) should start to play a little coy with The Powers That Be. I know that The Flash's ratings are better -- and I have a lot of nitpicky problems with Arrow -- but it was a much better show this year than The Flash. And it's ratings and quality have remained steadier. We will see how his this TMNT movie does, but I would neither be surprised or upset if he started to be a little more reserved in his team-player behavior. And I hate egotistical actors as much as the next guy/gal.
  11. I thought that promo for Prison Break looked very good. I am surprised. I did really enjoy Season 1. Agree with bijoux's assessment of the seasons and I too didn't watch Season 4 except to tune in to see that Michael had "died." But I really do enjoy WM, especially when he is not speaking in his affected voice,.
  12. If you enjoy watching interviews that are extremely uncomfortable, I highly recommend those links. Wow, those were entertaining for the sheer DGAF attitude she is sporting. And that collider interview, where she says the ONLY thing memorable about working with SA was that he arguing with one of the Turtle actors about his muscles was really stunning. Fortunately for SA, he is not alone on the list of people who she does not like or has no use for. I always try to give women in the entertainment industry the benefit of the doubt when there is gossipy reporting about their bitchiness/attitude etc. But she appears to have earned that reputation. That said, I actually enjoyed her New Girl episodes - much to my surprise. It's the only thing I've ever seen her in that was remotely entertaining (including real-life appearances). This, herein concludes, all of my interest in TMNT 2.
  13. So I don't post enough for me to be too disappointed about the new format, but not having you guys for two days was UPSETTING. I had to use a search engine to look for episode reviews. it was HORRIBLE! tv echo has made me entitled and lazy. Can we all agree to go take over another board somewhere in the event this happens again? Maybe the avclub comments section? Trying not to upset the mods and to not to talk about fan postings.... But just tell me where y'all will be, and I will find you. (Gilmore Girls is playing in my head).
  14. Do they want people to hate this show? [Edited by mod: Fan talk.] . I'm a little disbelieving that they went through years of trying to make her the Black Canary only to send her out as a pathetic Oliver reject. They didn't make me sad for her character. They made me sad for feminism.
  15. I know it's happening, but the epsiode is so clearly telegraphing her death, I almost don't believe it! This damn show better not be playing me.
