  1. The writers haven't shown us why Barry or Eddie love Iris? Oh, really? So we're just gonna ignore the fact that Iris was the only one who believed in Barry? We're gonna ignore the fact that she loves him, shares her father with him, sacrificed her personal life for him? I mean, how many women do you know who would cancel dates to go hang out at some science event that they have no interest in? How many women do you know who are so fulfilled, so emotionally invested in their relationship with their best friend that they feel no need to have a romantic relationship? This is who Iris West is and what she has done for Barry. Oh, and in the words of Cisco, "she's hot." As far as I'm concerned, the question is not why Barry (especially) loves Iris but rather, why *wouldn't* he love her?
  2. Ben Sokolowski only co-wrote one episode of Flash and that was the crossover episode. Johns and Kreisberg are the only two who've written scripts for both shows on a regular basis, though Johns hasn't worked on Arrow since season 2. As for the relationships on The Flash, Barry and Iris are clearly the root for couple. Their relationship is (very likely) important to the plot and future stories, so I don't think the writers will be in any hurry to pair Barry with anyone else. I certainly do not see Caitlin as a serious option, especially given that her and Barry are in love with other people. And considering how much the writers have emphasized Barry's love for Iris, he'd just be settling for someone else...that is, until the inevitable Barry/Iris (re)union.

    Iris West

Exactly. She even says that it doesn't matter who he is, just that he can give hope to her friend, to the people of Central City. I like that Iris doesn't let fear temper her curiosity. I couldn't help but chuckle at her suggesting to Flash that she talk to Tony again, even knowing that he was dangerous. Some may consider that reckless and maybe it is but it also showcases Iris as someone who's inquisitive and headstrong, both admirable qualities to have, especially for a journalist in the making.
  4. Her thinking The Flash would save them had less to do with dependency and more to do with her belief in The Flash. The last few episodes established that Iris is capable of saving herself and others but The Flash represents the impossible and Iris' belief in him, belief in the impossible, is intended to highlight an even deeper connection between her and Barry.
  5. Ok, is it me or is Barry Allen the most lovable superhero ever? A superhero who actually *loves* being a superhero, who knows how to express himself and is an all-around good guy. How awesome. As for the episode itself ,the Clock King was most compelling for me. He makes for such a fun, interesting villain. But I did like seeing Iris take him down. Love what the writers are doing with her character so far. Add me to the list of people who don't see any romantic chemistry between Barry and Caitlin, though I do find it interesting that Caitlin seems much more invested in Barry than he is in her. May be an ominous sign for Caitlin's character, in particular. Now, to Iris and Barry/The Flash, I must admit that I wasn't really sold on the idea of them at first but the Iris/Flash scenes are pretty swoonworthy, as are Barry's reactions to seeing Iris all flustered. Lastly, doped up Eddie was most adorable. He's growing on me with each passing episode...which probably means he's going to turn evil, yes?
