  1. It's on - you just have to scroll forward to when it actually started :)
  2. So much for appointment television! Gonna do my taxes with this annoying Netflix music in the background. While I am annoyed, I do feel for the Netflix technicians right now who must be pulling out their hair. It has to be so nerve wracking to be a Netflix technician or exec or producer (or even the talent) right now. true that - but our Zoom calls probably don't have hundreds of thousands of people on them at the same time. I am not normaly a "big tech" person but I do feel for the people at Netflix right now.
  3. Goodbye to Greg and his insecurities. She all but told him that he was the one and in the same way he felt that she did not hear him, he did not hear her. Slussian protocol: he had to have known that she cannot tell him the things he told her. The Bachelor/ette almost always have to balance needs of show, other contestants, etc. Greg could only think of his needs and when they were not met he stomped off like an adolescent and then tried to make Katie the bad guy. Good thing that Katie found out now how Greg handles adversity. His sister was right - his insecurities are one of his biggest flaws.
  4. I am really curious as to where Dee will end up this season. The show has been dropping little scenes about her, whether or not relevant to the episodes. For example, in one episode, Wes states that Dee used to learn from him and now he goes to her for advice. Or in a later episode Wes says he is now scared of Dee’s moves. And now with Dee calling herself a “psychopath” - it really makes me wonder.
  5. I ate at Michael’s in Santa Monica several times (when parents would visit). I remember liking it but not loving it. There were some neighborhood restaurants in SM that I liked a lot better and were much cheaper. I was sorry that they did not select a vegetarian dish to highlight: California cuisine is well situated for vegetarian food given how it showcases local fresh produce. This was a missed opportunity by the show. I was also surprised that a veal dish was highlighted: many places consider that a no no. It really did feel like the dishes selected were a throwback and would not tempt me to go to Michael’s at this time for fear that the restaurant had not updated the dishes themselves.
  6. I’d love to hate Jordan, especially when he called Jemmye someone who looked like a Downs Syndrome kid (why use a disability as an insult?) but I like Tori so much that I figure there’s something good in Jordan. That and I think about the people he has dated/hooked up with on the show who have all been strong women (Sarah, Laurel) and that makes me respect him more. Finally, I appreciate that Jordan does not often bring up his disability- he just gets the job done. As a person with a disability, I like his attitude and I really liked his ending words, exhorting others with disabilities to get out there and try. I think nothing less of Jordan and his abilities as a competitor with this loss. i do think less of Wes: not for voting Jordan in, that was fair game and would have been just pity to not vote him in, but for the way Wes enjoys playing the villain about voting Jordan in. I am tired of Wes putting on a camera ready persona.
  7. Kelsey was a mercy kill, right? Peter knows Victoria is BSC and does not mind leading her on and going to the Fantasy suite, just to dump her. But he did not want to break Kelsey’s heart any further? Otherwise there is no reason to dump Kelsey now and take Victoria. Except that Peter really seems to love the drama...
  8. Karma at work here: Victoria’s past is affecting her future.
  9. I just gotta believe that Cara was depressed or burnt out before starting on this season. We heard from Paulie that she wanted to skip the season. And the way she is acting reminds me of myself when I went through a depression: I expressed mostly through anger and bitterness at other people and completely doubted my own abilities, getting overly frustrated at mistakes I would make. I am just glad I did not have cameras following me around. I hope she gets the time off and therapy that I think she needs.
  10. I feel like Colton just gave away his secret and someone else’s too. I feel sorry for the someone else. I hope she was warned and prepared.
  11. Man, I felt for Joss and Sylvia because they would have had this, hands down, if they had not had that finale grenade. They were the best team. Hunter and Ashley got lucky because of the double grenades on Joss/Sylvia and on Natalie’s mistake when running and that Hunter is a beast with eating. I admired how J/S learned communication. And they were the only team there throughout the entire season. No mercenaries, no redemption house. Just old school politics with Lavender Ladies and TYB. Plus they eliminated Johnny and Tony fair and square. J/S was the best team all season. Just some bad politicking with Natalie/Paulie resulted in their loss. Ashley can feel good about the 1 million. But she has to know that she did not win this challenge. It was Joss and Sylvia who lost it.
  12. The kids have been using cell phones a lot. For example, Betty got called by the Black Mask on her cell phone with the ringtone of "Lollipop." Archie and Betty text each other. They have cell phones with caller ID so that they always know who is calling and start conversations with the caller's name. Not glued to them on our TV screen because that is boring TV for us, but they definitely do have them and use them a lot.
  13. I am hoping that Kevin and Moose are found out but it turns out that Moose’s dad is ok with it. It would be a nice twist to have the kids fearing an adult/their parents when actually their parents are really cool. Would bust down some stereotypes that the kids have about their parents and show how it is the kids stereotypes about the parents that is holding them back, not the parents themselves.
  14. This is the first season in a while, other than Farmer Chris, that I am truly not looking forward to. I don't get Colton's charm, I don't find him wholesome (charity OK, charity named after yourself not ok), and definitely not sexy. If I watch, it will be for the women and the women's stories, not for Colton.
  15. Good god has Scandal gone down in quality. Story lines left dangling (how is Mellie and Cyrus?), completely unbelievable medicine (Huck surviving after 3 shots to the chest and nearly drowning, then getting to the hospital and not even needing a ventilator), unbelievable forensics (even if Abby replaced bullets in Vargas's body, the reality is that a pathologist worth her salt would be able to tell the difference between the damage of handgun bullets and long range rifle bullets), and a super secret spy organization for the "good" of the republic that includes torture and murder as its tactics. What next? Aliens running the agencies? That might be more believable than what we have been served to us so far.
