  1. My prediction would be Beth to die, as it sounds like the actress is interested in a career in the music industry. Though - the show kind of lacks characters in her age range, I'd be happy to see her survive. I'm predicting Carol to survive, as she's now a very deep and kick-ass character... and I don't think the actress has any interest in leaving (I believe this was her first big role). A totally unpredictable death would be amazing though, Daryl is a long shot, but who knows.... I didn't watch the show back then but people told me that Andrea's death when it happened was a massive shock to the fans?
  2. Perhaps they just thought "sod him, he's useless". He's left a baby and young boy to go for a wander, what if Michonne has an accident and is killed. Part of me wants him to find the 'killer' in him and become useful to the team, but another part of me really couldn't care less, he's annoying and his acting is monotone. The best case scenario is that he finds Morgan, grows some balls, and they fortify the church together. Great that we had the real Maggie back again, finally! Though her total absence of grief over the loss of her father and disappearance of her sister is a bit odd. She's not mentioned either of them once.
  3. A decent-ish episode, oddly made better thanks to Tara and Beth. It used up a lot of valuable time, but I did like the Glenn/Tara/Rosita fishing trip... I think the logic there is that Abraham will become isolated in the group, only to redeem himself by killing a dozen walkers singlehandedly and saving everyone. Also there was a nice moment when Daryl gave a Rick a look of "what have you become?" when he was pointing his gun at one of the cops, emotionless, deciding whether to kill him or not. Next week should be good, I bet we'll get at least one key cast member death.... my vote would be Beth, with Carol surviving until the end of the season. Though it's about time the show surprised us, so how about Tyreese and Sasha killed off, plus the vicar guy, plus Eugene, plus Carol.
  4. Some very good points. I do love the show, but they must think us viewers are a little dumb, too many storylines just make little or no sense. Tyreese is perfect for babysitting, why on earth would you take him on the Atlanta mission and leave Michonne... it's ridiculous... I can only think Tyreese is going to die now, perhaps to save Sasha... who returns to her normal-self afterwards. I think they are moulding Michonne into Rick's new love interest... she seems to be baby sitting and offering kind words now more than being in battle... which is a shame because she's almost their best fighter.
  5. The van incident was bizarre. Probably the sort of thing that sounded good when they wrote the script, but when they filmed it they realised it was a little odd. (To digress: check out the video on the filming of it, quite interesting actually, and shows the van falling upside down originally then them needing to reshoot). In reality surely Daryl would have sat on the back of the van whilst Carol very quickly darted in to grab any documents, before leaping out and running as soon as they saw the zombies arriving. Too often they act like the zombies are the 'fast running' type from Dawn of the Dead, in TWD they're pretty slow and I'm sure they could dodge them if needed. Also, am I the only one who would imagine that downtown Atlanta would still have a couple of hundred residents? D&C were acting as if it was empty bar walkers and the hospital crew. The skyscrapers would surely be suitable for fortification, as floors could be used as buffers to block any zombies trying to get up. Yes there is the issue of lack of power for the elevators but I think I'd prefer to be on the roof of a skyscraper that in the middle of a forest with just some cans and a bit of string to warn me of oncoming death! In cities there would be enough tinned food and bottled water to last a good few years I'd guess. If not in the stores but in the distribution centres close by. Plus (finally), should help come at any point in the form of helicopters... the easiest escape route would be the roof of a skyscraper, and it's the first place those coming to help would look.
  6. Yep, like Michonne back when we met her. She could travel without too much hassle.
  7. So we've had six episodes of season five, and as far as I can tell this is what everyone has done so far... Rick: Killed 1 bad guy Judith: Nothing Carl: Nothing Maggie: Nothing Glenn: Nothing Michonne: Nothing Gabriel: Looked scared Rosita: Got naked Tyreese: Looked even more of a wuss, buried a body Sasha: Flirted with Bob, looked sad Bob: Be clumsy, get bitten, run off like a wally, die Daryl: Went to Atlanta chasing a girl Morgan: Went for a walk Tara: Checked out Rosita Eugene: Checked out Rosita, admitted to lying Beth: Worked in a hospital Carol: Saved the gang from Terminus, left for Atlanta *exception to the rule, good character development* I love the show, I really do, but I feel like so far this season other than easily killing last seasons baddies then finding some new dangerous people to replace them, literally nothing interesting has happened. I hope the show can find a key goal and have each episode work towards this goal somehow (like Lost and 'getting off the island').... I know "saving the human race" is a tall order, and a bit unrealistic, but at least it would give the show a central focus... currently it feels like they are just moving around looking for new people to dislike and eventually kill.
  8. Bit of a slower episode than I expected, but exciting none the less. The Daryl / Noah interaction was strange though... Hopefully we're in for a couple of blockbuster episodes from now on in.
