  1. Yawn. Keith seems like a nice guy - they all seem like all right people, even though Adam clearly shouldn't have been in the finals, so it's not an upsetting finale or anything. Now that I think about it, I suspect they have the 3 guys in the end mostly because of logistics - most designers will have a primary colletion in either female or male, but not both (unless they're really big, and if they are they wouldn't be on top model) - so it probably is just easier to work with to have one gender in the finals. But man, it's such a yawner of an episode. They really need to get some better judges who at least seem like they know what they're talking about. Watching the judges comment on their portfolio is like watching those youtube clips they had of viewers commenting about how hot one of them are. Oh yeah, and honestly, I always thought Keith looks more of a Taye Diggs than a Tyson. It's probably his smile. Will was really the only modelesque person of the group - Keith is good looking in a actor sort of way, and Adam is cute in a regular dude sort of way.
  2. Yu Tsai actually made me miss Jay Manuel a little - because as useless as Jay was, Yu Tsai still manages to top (bottom?) that. As for Janice, I always liked her as a judge. She's not very nice but I usually find her blunt assessments not untrue. I even miss Nigel though to a certain extent - heck I miss the guest judges of the week - that's how boring the judging has been since they switched it to just scores. LBR, it's not a modeling competition, it's a modeling reality show, so it isn't like the judging is ever going to be 'fair' and would be rigged either way (via scores, picking a bad photo, etc), but panel was always fun because of the discussion and now there's none of that - do they honestly think that watching numbers fly on a screen is actually interesting to watch?
  3. You know it's bad when the old setup looks almost legitimate compared to the current one.
  4. If Chantelle was telling the truth, it makes no sense that the person she was angry at was Shei and not Keith. My speculation is that she didn't mean for it to be malicious or anything, I don't even think she means it in a 'oh i really like Keith' kind of thing either. She probably thought it was a harmless lie in an awkward attempt to bond with the others (sort of like her being sad about Raelia leaving and went to comfort people, that was probably her actually trying to bond with the house but it came off weird and awkward and uncomfortable because realistically she wasn't close with Raelia or the rest of the group) via gossipy girl chit chat. I can totally see that, and that would be why she told Shei not to tell anyone else, and was angry at Shei afterwards and not Keith. That makes more sense to me than Chantelle being a victim of womanizer Keith's lies (and honestly, it wouldn't be a big deal had they hooked up anyway, it wasn't like Keith had a gf or wasn't hooking up in the house, where so many people hooked up a little anyway) and being so in love with him that she rather be mad at Shei instead afterwards. But anyway, Chantelle might be a bit defensive snobby and unfriendly and young but she stood up to Yu Tsai scum so mad props to her. I honestly don't understand why Adam is still in - his photos have been dismal and he will never have a neck. I don't remember one shot of his that I've liked all season. I get that Tyra wants a guy to win, but she already has Will and Keith there, there's no need for Adam.
  5. It's mostly because of how she reacted to Keith when he brought it up, and that later on she was mad at Shei for spilling the beans (if she was telling the truth, then wouldn't the anger be directed moreso at Keith, who would have been straight up lying about them hooking up in front of everyone and accused her instead of lying?). Mostly though I didn't think much of the drama in the house - Chantelle is aloof and defensive for sure, but understandably so if she was bullied as a child, but at the same time I don't feel like the rest of the house was super mean to her or anything, they seem pretty normal and courteous with her as with anyone else there. So it's also understandable they wouldn't or shouldn't feel like they have some big responsibility to treat her extra nice and be extra friendly with her either. The fact is, they all bonded with each other over the course of the competition while she was out very early - so I feel like a lot of it has to do with the circumstance - you have this group that have become close and then someone they barely knew came back, obviously they wouldn't be as close to that person than to the rest of the group, and it's not really the fault of that person or the group that they're not friends. I feel like that's all there is to the drama really, small potatoes really compared with other seasons. But, Yu Tsai can just go screw himself though. I thought Chantelle handled it best she could and Yu Tsai was just super gross, which means the show is super gross in backing up that pathetic excuse of a reason. It doesn't matter if Chantelle has attitude problems or not, that's entirely irrelevant - Yu Tsai was out of line, period. And it's weird, because you'd think Tyra would have jumped on it, have the 'it's not ok to use slurs' PSA kind of thing, and tell us all a story of how she dealt with photographers/clients calling her names and stuff and how she rose above it all to be awesome. Such a missed opportunity, Tyra. edit: Is either Shei or Adam korean or even part korean? Purely speculation, but they don't seem like they are.
