  1. The phone call from Marie to Wever killed me. When she says that she had lost all faith in humanity, but the two detectives restored it, and now she can see the world with hopeful eyes again, I cried like a baby. If you can do that to someone, you're a true hero. Wever and Colette will forever be my favorite TV duo.
  2. Thank you. My thoughts exactly. Why oh why isn't June dead? That's all I wanted from this finale. Couldn't we at least have had that??? Who am I kidding? Of course Super June can't die. I'm killing this show instead. Bye, THS!
  3. Thanks for making June a murderer, show. She murdered Eleanor. I hate her so much now. She's not even a person anymore. Just a heartless thing that walks and bosses people around. Sorry I'm late with my comment. Watching the finale now.
  4. Ok maybe this is really a mute point, because this show has gone to hell and there's no point in trying to make sense of anything. Still I try. Marthas are servants, ok. But they are also part of the new Gilead order. A household must have a Commander, a wife, a handmaid and a Martha. And maybe kids, if the Lord decides to open. Marthas are an integral part of the whole system and even participate in some of the rituals. Now Jezebel is not part of that order. It's not a household. It's sort of illegal, even if it's accepted by the powers that be. Marthas do not belong there. Nor for me anyway. Were they there in Season one? I don't remember. My point: the only reasons there are Marthas in Jezebel's is to help Superjune stay invulnerable. Someone upthread suggested that next season should be all about the Marthas. That would be nice. Who knows, I might even watch it...
  5. Which brings me to my question. Why are there Marthas on Jezebel's??? Makes absolutely no sense to me. This show, I swear... Seeing Commander Lawrence taking orders from June actually made me cry. What the hell, writers? No words.
  6. I watched this in my computer with my hand over her face the whole time.
  7. Oh God they are talking Season 3. I was so afraid of that after realizing the Monterrey 5 were going to confess. I knew that's what they were going for...
  8. I understand Jo's anger. She was abandoned. That's reason enough to be angry IMO. Can you ever get over that kind of pain? Not sure. I loved the line of women. The way I see it, Abby was feeling terrified. At that moment, she needed to feel protected from men, all men. Seeing all those women there made her feel safe. Like they were human shields, protecting and cherishing her. Even I felt safe.
  9. Thanks. Not watching then. Randall is my least favorite character right now. I'm one step away of ditching this show for good.
  10. Can anyone tell me if this episode is all Randall and Beth all the time? Because if it is, I will gladly skip it. Tks.
  11. Worst episode ever. Die Randall die. My heart broke for Rebeca though. Pretty sure they're gonna give her Alzheimer's. I'm so over this show.
  12. I was ready to give up on this show completely, but then the last scene happened. That was magical. Only good thing in the whole season, but still worth it. I might watch next season, after all. Just for a little glimpse of that magic. Because oh, God, this show is so bad it hurts. I cringe all the time at how bad the writing is and how ridiculous the plots are. Lim and Melendez kissing in front of everyone? Claire channeling Shaun? Andrews firing Han because of Shaun, and not because he's unethical manipulative blackmailer? No one mentioning a lawyer for Shaun? Glassmann proposing on a whim and the girl saying yes? Please, Brazilian soap operas are better than this. Also, Park is dead to me. I hate that the show wants us to sympathize with him, because he was so wrong. Doesn't matter if the sweet old lady was faking it, that's not the way to treat an elder person. You never ever justify anything by saying they're JUST OLD. For the record, last time someone told my 95-year-old mother she was just old, she almost died from an intestinal obstruction. Thank God I took her to a real doctor and she got surgery. She's fine now, but not because of doctors like Park. He can go to hell.
  13. I've never been a Beth fan, so I fast-forwarded through the whole thing. Liked the last scene with her mother though. What I got from this episode: - all daughters hate their mothers and secretly want to marry their fathers; - it's ok to be irresponsible (aka Randall) and ignore your family as long as you're following your dreams; - if you were ever a musician or a dancer, and even if you haven't practiced for years, it's ok to go to a school and announce: "I want to be a teacher here". You'll get the job immediately. *sighs*
  14. I cried when I saw the smile in Alex face. That's how I feel when my mother says something that actually makes sense. In that moment, she's back. Alzheimer's suck.
  15. If Owen decides to fight for custody, Amelia will leave long before it goes to court. No family unit or drug addict. This whole arc sucks.
  16. That's so incredibly selfish. If Nick was dead to him, he could just refuse to see him.Telling the whole world he's dead is extremely cruel. All of this so he wouldn't have to explain the situation to his kids? And his wife? How weak was Jack, really? That's character assassination, if you ask me.
  17. Two things that bothered me in this episode: - the fact that Jack told everyone Nick was dead makes no sense at all, and yet no one talks about that in the whole episode. No ones asks: why did he do this? Are we to assume that Jack wanted his brother to be dead (like Nick said), and that's why he lied? Because that's absolutely awful. - what Jack did to Nick was horrible and, in my opinion, unforgivable: he erased his brother out of existence. So, if I ever met Nick, the first thing I was going to say is "I'm sorry for what Jack did to you. That was wrong. You shouldn't have gone through this. No one should." And yes, Rebecca should have told him he is a person. Hugging him would also be an accetable reaction. What's wrong with those people? Glad Kevin is getting a decent arc. If it involves he and Nick doing some healing together, I'm all for it.
  18. So do you guys think the writers want to turn DeLucca into Derek 2.0, someone powerful and controling? The thought crossed my mind. But I don't remember Derek being that creepy. Or was he?
  19. Everyone was at their worst in this episode. Alex can't understand someone with a Scottish accent? Really? I'm Brazilian and I understand. Jackson doesn't know if guys playing pipes is a good or bad thing. It's music, dumbass! Beautiful music. Listen and learn. DeLucca is a stalker who stalks. So creepy! Meredith enables her stalker and pretends her sis is a sane person. Maggie has to treat someone she hates. I mean, really, show? How is that even a thing? She's your patient. Shut up and act like a professional! By the way, how can you "hate" an ex-classmate? Are you 15??? But hey, maybe she can go play with Bailey, who's 12! Owen can't deal with his pain, so he lashes out at Amelia. And some poor parents in distress. Amelia is the only decent and sensible character in this whole episode, and I never thought I would say something like that.
  20. Exactly. And not even a good medical show. Too many absurd plots and resolutions, too much drama between doctors and patients, too little character development. I'm hoping against hope they will go back to the original premise. Otherwise, I'll just go back to old ER/Grey's episodes. Much better than anything going on here. Just a side note: what the hell are they doing with the Melendez-Lim relarionship? I mean, is there a relationship? All we see is them talking about their romance, but not really living it. Where is the love? Where is the passion? Why are those people together? We had one assexual scene in the bed, some quarentine-induced suffering, one kiss, and some quick conversations about how they shouldn't be dating. Well, maybe they shouldn't, since they don't seem to care one bit about each other. I've seen robots emote more. Seriously.
  21. They turned Madani into a cartoon-like villain, complete with the crazy eyes and the dumb obsession for vengeance. SMH. And yes, it seems like Marvel tends to screw things up in the second season. It's like they are so in love with their success, they feel like their work is done. They just need to rinse and repeat. Then they put together two or three half-assed storylines, create a new villain and/or sidekick, and yay, here's the new season! It was the same with Jessica Jones. We had Trish going bad, Jessica's mother as a monster and Carrie-Anne Moss in a completely separated story. It didn't work. Here we had blackmail, a new sidekick, the return of a villain and Josh Stewart in an (almost) completely separated story. And again it didn'twork. There was no sense of purpose, no urgency, no engaging relationships. Plus some bad casting decisions and lame dialogue. We deserved better.
  22. They can always give her a brain tumor...
  23. ITA. I'm still in shock. Like Cthulhudrew said, it feels feel like they had two stories to tell, and ended up telling none. Maybe, if they had focused on the bond between Frank and Amy, it might have worked for me. They could use that relationship to bring something new and deep and transformative about the character. I mean, the whole first season was based on Frank's relationship with David Lieberman - and it worked like a charm. Here, not so much. The biggest mistake, for me, was the casting of Amy. Georgia Whigham might be a good actress, but she's too old and breezy for the part. They kept referring to her as "kid", but she didn't look like a teenager at all. She looked 22-25 to me. If they wanted a teenager, they should have cast one, and make her a little more intense - then maybe we could believe she was devastated for losing everyone she loved. Also, their relationship was too superficial. So much to explore there: can Castle justify turning a girl into a killer like himself, just to numb down some of the pain he has for losing his biological kids? Can someone without Castle's background and trauma learn to murder people in the same effective way he does? Is that a valid choice? Anyway, not satisfied at all with this season. Watched episodes 1-6, fast forwarded through 7-10, and then watched the three final episodes, just to see how it ended. What a disappointment. I still love Jon Bernthal, still love the character, still invested in the series. Maybe we can meet again in another life/streaming channel?
  24. And this is where I officially drop the show. Not feeling this season at all. It makes me sad.
