  1. I am so tired of someone threatening to arrest or beat up Leonard every episode for being gay. I don’t care how much of the times it was. This is fiction. Give it a rest for a few episodes. Will was damn lucky. Who has a broken speedometer and doesn’t fix it, or doesn’t seem to even recall it was broken? That seems to make it clear he was not paying attention to his speed at all, which is exactly what he was being accused of.
  2. It looked like Lott hit him in the kidney. He might have had some internal bleeding.
  3. I feel Russell Lewis was always trying to serve two masters. He had to make the show work for people who never saw Inspector Morse while staying true to its cannon. I listened recently to an old Interview with Shaun Evans from a couple seasons ago and he made it clear the it was Russell Lewis who wanted to keep teasing the possibility of an Endeavor/Joan romance and that he would have preferred it was resolved earlier one way or another. I found the whole main mystery was rushed and confusing. The anvils about death were really heavy handed and seemed to be filler until the last half hour where the main character stories were resolved. I think the gunshot and the lines from the Tempest were meant to indicate that was where the series Endeavor ends. The first scene in Inspector Morse was him singing in the choir. So at that point in the finale he was all Morse. Again, I think it was rather theatrical and probably confusing for the casual viewer. I am somewhat pleased with where everyone ended up. Thursday protecting his family to the last. Bright returning to India were his daughter is buried. Jakes coming back to confront his past before returning to America. Joan and Strange married. Endeavor alone but mostly by his own design. Someone suggested that the passing of the bouquet was supposed to suggest that the journalist and the doctor end up together. I think it was more that they were the two least likely to end up married but I can see how people might have come to a different conclusion. I am sad to see it go but I don’t see how it could have continued after Thursday leaves Oxford because he was the heart of the show. The show without him would be just another police procedural.
  4. This was a much better episode than last week both musically and storyline. I enjoyed all of the musical numbers and dances. I was glad they gave the family stuff an episode off. I find those actors to be some of the weaker singers and dancers. I am glad that Simon didn’t back down. I am glad everyone called Zoey out on her crap.
  5. I did not like this episode for many of the reasons mentioned. The musical numbers were lame. Zoey is an idiot for taking random drugs. Too much Danny Michael Davis. I think Max and Moe’s business idea sounds risky. I don’t think his dad was wrong to be concerned. They just said they can’t get investors. Why is the marketing guy doing damage control with the media instead of the PR department? Just because he’s the only black? If so then he has legit issues but to taking them to the media without warning is asking for trouble.
  6. I also hate American Pie (it is one of those songs that was played to death when I was younger). I feel it was chosen because it is long enough so everyone got a featured line or two that were randomly distributed. I will miss Mitch. Other than the song I thought the actual death and funeral was nicely handled.
  7. I can’t see where they are going with this show. It could turn out to brilliantly reinvent itself like The Good Place or it could go nowhere. After these last two episodes of Zoey revealing herself to Max and now the entire office seeing her singing it would seem regressive to go back to the other type of episodes. I’m starting to think Zoey doesn’t deserve Max. Yes, he’s a good friend but being jerked around by someone isn’t fun. Simon seems like a jerk for not recognizing that that mid-meltdown was not the time to kiss her no matter what she was singing to him. i think by now we get the memo that tech is full of assholes. We’ve had a Steve Jobs and now a Zuckerberg clone. I don’t know how they back down from Mitch dying now. If they pull some last minute miracle out of the hat I think we will all feel manipulated.
  8. I think Randall’s remark to the therapist about how close he and Rebecca are and Rebecca telling Kevin she needs his humor in her life at this time is setting up the conflict. Randall will not like Kevin becoming more involved. I get a feeling the Kevin and Madison thing may turn out to be more than a one night stand. The therapist cut right to the chase didn’t she by questioning Randall’s belief that he is the glue that is holding everyone together? That’s kind of his whole identity.
  9. They called my birthday on the show but I am a woman and didn't turn 18 until after the war...and I totally would have gone to Canada. The episode was interesting but it just set up things for what is probably going to ba a long drawn out story about what happened to Nick.
  10. I just can't get myself to care about these characters. Even the kid, who is supposed to by the most sympathetic character is just creepy. Is this show trying to solve what happened to the plane or is it going to be about the voices? Is there going to be a crime a week for them to solve while dodging weirdo cult people? Is it a family drama? Has anyone see hide or hair of the dad who just showed up in the pilot to announce the mom was dead..and then nothing? If I had a two dead kids come back I would want to spend time with them.

I am not sure yet. I love these kind shows but tend to get frustrated when they pile on the layers of mystery. It's kind of got a Lost meets Heroes vibe and I am not sure that's a good thing. I agree that there was too much focus on the sister and I figured out where the girls were long before they did. I never felt blown away by the plot twists. They were kind of obvious. I like Josh Dallas and the research scientist. I will give it a few more weeks.
  12. The palace may have done some checking but by the time of wedding happened Tony had spent a lot of time with the family and won a lot of them over including the Queen Mother. I think except for the bisexuality you probably would have found some similar things in the pasts of many men of that class at that time. The Duke of Windsor had married mistresses other than Wallace Simpson and he juggled more than one woman when he was Prince of Wales.
  13. I am starting to think Miguel is the only one in the family that notices Kevin. I think Miguel could have been less passive and told Rebecca to sit her ass down and support the child that actually wants her attention. But he is the guy that married his best friend's widow so he may have his own issues about giving Rebecca advice about her kids.
  14. The thing that makes Elizabeth's plotting in this series so ridiculous is that it is so blatant that it puts her own life in jeopardy. I think any actions the real Elizabeth took would have been more subtle. She would have wanted to insure the safety of her living children. It wasn't just Margaret B. who wanted Teddy eliminated. All the noblemen who fought for Henry would have their lives and property forfeited if Henry were removed from the throne. As sad as it is, if Teddy wasn't in the tower he would probably have been killed by one of Henry's supporters. I am glad that Maggie ended up with a decent husband. She is the most sympathetic of all of the women. But no one stayed safe for long around the Tudors. Both Lizzie and Cecily knew as the two eldest daughters of a King that they would be married as part of a political alliance. Lizzie was able to produce a male heir right away so she is safe unless she gets caught in a plot. Cecily ended up with a handsome rich guy which is all she seemed to care about. Maggie should have been married to someone of a higher rank but someone of a higher rank might have been persuaded to help put Teddy on the throne with the prospect of becoming his Regent.
  15. I liked the Mr. Kaplan focus of the episode. It finally makes some sense of why Mr. Kaplan would work for someone like Red and why she wants revenge for his shooting her instead of just slipping off to start a new life. She told him from the very start that she would choose Lizzie over him and he agreed that she should. Then he did try to put her down like a dog. I ended up really disliking Lizzie's mom. She certainly left a big mess behind for Mr. Kaplan to sort out while leaving her no money or other resources.
