  1. I totally thought they were going to eat those boots, too! The picture on my television was too dark, so I didn't see the blood, either; I just thought they were some really dirty boots. Makes a LOT more sense now that I know it was blood.
  2. Could not agree more. Tyra may have created the show, but the show has moved beyond her. I can take or leave Rita, but Ashley, Law, and Drew brought new energy to the show and, as you say, are more relevant. And Stacey is divine--I would LOVE it if Stacey could host, instead! Ugh, Tyra, just leave it alone.
  3. THANK YOU. When Kevin ditched his play on opening night--leaving literally everyone else who had invested in the play, including his co-star, hanging with no excuse or apology--I found myself hollering at the t.v. I couldn't believe they played that decision like a noble sacrifice! Double Dick with Bacon from the Dollar Menu, INDEED.
  4. Really well done episode that tackled an issue without feeling like a "very special episode." As an Alaskan, I also have to give the writing staff props for knowing that Hillside is the expensive, fancy part of Anchorage...but c'mon, guys--"the mainland"? No one in Alaska calls the Lower Forty-Eight the "mainland."
  5. This show is consistently laugh-out-loud funny and surprising, and the cast is ridiculously great. Thanks for doing what NBC apparently couldn't!
  6. Every time I see That One Guy Who's In Every Show That Films There, I yell at my t.v., "It's Busy Bee!" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ib0Xv86kyIk
  7. Thanks for this look back at what I proclaimed, with zero irony, was my favorite show back in the '90s. Like you, I recently went back and watched a few episodes I remember particularly liking and found that, for the most part, the show does not hold up very well, except on a nostalgia level. I do wonder how many STEM careers Quantum Leap launched, based on people my age watching it and thinking, "That cannot be how science actually works."
  8. Dave's one-man Dracula/Doog show needs to go on the road. That shit was comedy gold.
  9. I will definitely watch this, but in my mind, Younger is the story of what happens after Michelle from Bunheads entered the witness protection program after presumably having watched Sasha strangle the Ringer from the Nutcracker episode when Franny makes the mistake of inviting her back to the ballet studio.
  10. The minute I saw the promos for this, I wanted to slap that kid myself. I also immediately hoped it would fall into the so-bad-it's-campily-good category, so thank you for confirming. I can't wait to start judging Brooklyn parents!
  11. This is all so fascinating to me--particularly because a) I didn't know ASP and DP were oustered before the seventh season and b) I've been doing a GG rewatch and just started watching the final season for the first time ever. I immediately noticed significantly different things--including new/different ways the camera is being used and unfamiliar/new locations (seriously, never thought I'd see Lorelai at a car dealership). Season seven isn't as bad as I'd thought it would be, although I am hopping mad at how Lane's storyline has played out. But it does, at times, feel like Bizarro GG. I'm another defender of season 6. I kind of loved "the rift"--it gave viewers a glimpse into an alternate world where Rory and Lorelai weren't BFF, it gave us an idea of what life might have been like for Lorelai if she'd stayed under her parents' roof (via Rory's experience with Richard and Emily), and it changed the dynamic between Rory, Richard, and Emily in interesting ways. That said, I can't buy Luke and Lorelai's relationship this time around, and the only reason I can forgive The April Debacle is because April is played by little baby Bay Kennish from Switched at Birth and thus now comes with instant appeal (for me).
  12. Ion saved me over the holiday break. I spent Christmas at my parents' house and they've eschewed all forms of cable, so I spent the entire visit watching stuff on Ion, which is one of about seven channels they still manage to get.
  13. Man, I wish the panel that featured Moore, Shane, Anna, and Quinto had been televised, or scenes from it included on this episode. It seems like it would be sooooo awkward, and I really wish I could have witnessed that.
