  1. Not to mention, they're all smiling and cracking up. Julianna Margulies might smile and laugh, but Alicia Florrick is as dour as it gets. She never laughs. She barely cracks a smile. That photo just looked weird to me, like it took me out of the show because it was obviously Allan Cumming and Julianna Margulies, not Eli and Alicia.
  2. Which is a stark contrast from the 2008 season, aka Top Scallop.
  3. Good lord, the cold open was endless, and so far two out of three sketches have "Donald Trump tweets stuff" as the punchline.
  4. How could Alexa get 7s for that, when that Instagram kid got all 8s? I'm not a dancer, but... what?
  5. I totally agree. It was a huge mess of concepts. Maybe it's just because I'm pushing 40, but to me, Mary Kay reminds me of middle-aged suburban housewives in blazers with extra shoulder pads. ETA: The end of the episode tells me that Kelly Osbourne is the guest judge next week. My prediction: she very cattily and dramatically tells the contestants that they're being dramatic.
  6. My DVR recorded 30 minutes too, because I think it was listed as four 30-minute individual shows - only the first 30 minutes was considered new, so the rest didn't record. I'm annoyed.
  7. Side note: Why is Clare dressed so frumpily? I know she's pregnant and all, but she's 17 or 18 years old. Every shirt she wore was like this loose button-up shirt, done to the very top. I'm missing Snake in these last episodes. Does anyone know if Stefan Brogren didn't want to do it anymore, or what?
  8. I was sort of... I dunno, stunned? Put off? by how nasty Mei was to her brother. I'm not going to judge her (who knows, this guy could've been a total dick to her for their whole lives), but it came off really unpleasant. Her food sounded great, though.
  9. "Hey, I'm not that guy anymore. I've changed; I've matured." Really, Eli? Clare still fucked Drew. Nothing's changed except that it happened - by chance! - to be one of your little squigglies that made it through, rather than his. I actually used to like the character of Eli a lot, even through the Lenore crap and season 13. But I was so thrown by what the writers did to him this season, that I'm sort of disinterested in the whole storyline. Hmmph.
  10. This episode was the first time I genuinely liked Zig. I have high hopes for him next season. Am I the only person who doesn't "love to hate" Zoe? The actress seems talented and all that, but the character is just sort of comically evil. It's like when they brough in Kimberly to Melrose Place. If Zoe pulls off a wig to reveal her stitched-up skull, I'll know it's all over.
  11. That would be great. The heat is turned way up on the situation with Bishop, and metadata nonsense from tonight, and Kalinda just sort of poofs away, leaving behind some sort of wink-y token that only Cary/Diane/Alicia would understand.
  12. She looked really guilty when that cop walked out. My money's on confessing and going to jail. Man, they can't kill everyone that leaves the show. Can they? (They can, I know.)
  13. Agreed. Also, my unpopular opinion: Post bleach-job Tristan is absolutely intolerable. Not funny when he tries to be funny, completely charmless, and an absolutely horrible friend. And my final unpopular opinion: I don't see what anyone sees in Miles. This smug little twerp is supposed to be some big sought-after prize? I just don't see it.
  14. "Tears, Clare? Didn't expect to see those from such a whore." Nope. Not in character, not cool.
