  1. This song is so bland and powerless that it is just pointless and annoying. I confuse this with Heartbeat Song, for some weird reason. Maybe because I don't like the lyrics for similar reasons? I like Kelly's voice, but it is just silly.
  2. Yup, got a nightmare after watching this. Based on reviews, I might rent one day to watch on a small tv screen because I like JGL, but there is no way I will see this in theaters.
  3. So, in watching this, I was wondering if anyone had any favorite cat guardians? I know there are not many, but a few stand out for me. I really liked Ryann, the owner of Lita who broke up with the douche who liked when his cat bullied hers. I liked that she loved her cat and wanted Jackson to help her adjust and be a little less frightened, and she worked with him even after the bully cat was not around. I thought it was sweet at the end when she and Jackson got tattoos, and she got a super cute one of her cat. I also really liked the one little boy who helped Jackson investing what happened with the cat. If I recall correctly, it ended up that the cat heard a loud noise outside and got spooked. I just really liked that kid, he seemed really gentle and cared a lot about the kitty.
  4. To be fair, Blue, T Rex and Delta are all strong females. With Ellie and Claire, they are my queens :')
  5. I am not a huge fan of skinny jeans either, but anything boot cut tends make me look somewhat squat and frumpy because I am on the shorter side. I prefer straight leg jeans, but they are hard to find.
  6. I'm not sure that she herself was hated so much as her storyline was, but I liked Karen on The Office. She was career driven, sarcastic, and for the most part dealt with the situation in a mature and adult way compared with Jim and Pam. I was a Jim/Pam shipper at the time, but I still thought she was a cool character who was treated like crap by Jim and the writers. In fact, I was downright annoyed that one of the few characters on the show who was relatively normal and still entertaining at the time was sacrificed for a love triangle.
  7. I'll make it a twofer. Taylor Swift and that annoying grade school sounding, droning, and petty Bad Blood. I gave her the benefit of the doubt for awhile, but this song just is not for the radio. Or anywhere I might have to hear it. Rihanna and Bitch Better Have My Money. She can't sing and she can't rap. It sounds like she is yelling "blop blop blop." No more please.
  8. Fair enough, I take my blame back! I don't mind Ron, I just mind the pedestal he was put on.
  9. Agree on the Logan dislike! I was not the hugest Veronica fan at all times, but I liked her well enough that I thought she deserved better than his asshole self. And don't get me started on Dick. I don't dislike Ron perse, but I did get tired of him always being seen wise and all knowing. I blame him for the huge not funny bacon trend. Barney Stinson is my biggest offender on this list. He was misogynistic and selfish, and I despised how he was seen as either this hilarious smooth guy for Tucker Max wannabes to look up to or this poor misunderstood woobie who just treated women like crap because he had a terrible childhood. Actually, any character like this would go on my list.
  10. I liked Piz too, he was just a normal decent guy. Not sure what he did that was so awful other than not be Logan (who would go on my list in a widely loved characters who you dislike thread). I also like Jack. He provides tons of entertainment for me in Lost, even in the moments I don't really like him. He was so narm-y that I found him charming. I hated Kate at first, but now I am ok with her. My big one is Piper Chapman on Orange is the New Black, but only for the first two seasons. I liked how she interacted with the other prisoners, it was interesting to see someone who was so out of touch but tried so hard. I even didn't mind her selfishness in the love triangle because she KNEW she was being a jerk. I am not a huge fan of her Walter White-esque attempt at badassery in season three, but that is mostly because I think that storyline is completely overdone and boring at this point.
  11. Hmm, I preferred Berger. He was insecure and immature, but I got what he was going through. I liked that they showed the more difficult side of being a writer, compared to Carrie's somewhat inexplicable success. I also thought he initially had the most chemistry with Carrie compared to any of her men. He may have thrown a hissy fit over the scrruuuuuunchy, but I find that preferable to cheating on one's wife like Big did.
  12. I'm ok with the characters being sympathetic, or even overly nice, even if they are in prison. To me, the main appeal of this show is that it is a diverse cast primarily composed of women and the storytelling is engaging. And in general I dislike the trend in tv shows of the unlikeable main characters. So I am ok with the characters having sympathetic back stories. I like that I am mostly rooting for the prisoners. I like the fact that the guards were focused upon. I have always liked Bennet even if he is dim as hell, and I sympathize with Caputo even if he is not perfect. O'Neill and his gf are great comic relief. Healy works for me as the closest thing this show has a villain. And finally, I don't get the media obsession with Ruby Rose. Granted, I am a straight lady, so I may be missing some of the appeal; but she does not even rank in the top five of attractive/appealing women on this show for me.
  13. Conversely, I also hate the skinny lady who chows down on everything unhealthy with no consequences! Gilmore Girls, looking at you. I would much rather see a character who actually diets and works out and is skinny, or even passes up food offered occasionally. Not because I think that is more laudable or anything, but because it is probably more true to how actors maintain their bodies. Another one I hate is bickering lovers. I hate the slap slap kiss trope, I would rather see couples who enjoy each others' company.
  14. I think she is officially my favorite. I was not a huge fan of the Norma storyline, but what I did like about it was that Poussey still interacted mostly with her original group. I was afraid that it would be a redux of Vee and Tastee and everyone would turn on her again. She did break my heart with her loneliness and I really felt for her in the moment when she forgave Suzanne. I am excited for her friendship or possibly more with Soso next season. Glad that Samira is on my tv.
  15. I love it when they are hugging all dramatically and Nick whispers into her ear, "you fucking bitch" or something of the sort. I really want to rewatch, but I am too afraid of cringing during NPH's character's death.
  16. Morello has also said some super racist things. I have a hard time with her, I go very back and forth. At least Piper got stuck with two very stupid tattoos she has to live with for the rest of her life.
  17. And then he ended up losing his leg anyway from getting into a hot tub with a cut that got infected, I think.
  18. To be completely shallow for the seriousness of this episode, Tucky's nice boyfriend was pretty cute. I was like way to go Doggett.
  19. Davina's tweet makes me respect her so much more. I like that she is sticking up for Jessica. Just catching up on all of this. I can't believe how quickly this escalated.
  20. Aleida really is the worst. She has manipulated Daya all over the place during her pregnancy and she instigated a lot of the problem with Sophia in the last episode.
  21. Oh my god, I agree so hard with your Piper assessment. I always kind of liked her, but now she is purposely trying to be an asshole, and is not even entertaining with it. I prefered her awkwardly trying to fit in while also somewhat staying to herself last season. I also completely agree with being sad about Nicky, some of the heart is gone now. The Gloria/Sophia conflict was good, particularly because I could see both sides. I have mixed feelings about the whole Norma storyline. It seemed very reductive of everyone following Pennsatucky and Vee previously. I did like that in the end Norma was the one to kind of stop it. Mixed feelings overall. I definitely do not feel the same sense of satisfaction that I felt after season two.
  22. Her being Amish and the whole Lorna cult makes me want to go back and watch some Season One episodes, when she was following Pennsatucky. I remember her being really unlikeable and sycophantic, but not sure if she was as pushy then with her need for following the rules.
  23. I think.....I ship Poussey and Soso now. This season has done the impossible for me. I was never a fan of Alex/Piper, but I always liked Piper (I know, but I also like Brooke, so maybe I just enjoy the out of touch characters trying their hardest to fit in) and could not stand Alex. Even though I think Laura Prepon is not a great actress, I feel really bad for her now. I prefer the characters who kind of stay on their own and don't get caught up in all of the posturing, and Piper irritated the hell out of me with all of her badass panty selling Godfather crap. I liked her better when she was a lone wolf last season and shared more scenes with Red. The character works better with more mature characters. It also made me sympathetic to Black Cindy, and I never thought that would happen last season. And I love the Pennsatucky/Boo friendship. And now I am genuinely worried for Maritza. Looking forward to season four, with the addition of the new prisoners. I like the idea of a storyline that encompasses the whole prison.
  24. I died with the Les Mis singalong. O'Neill is awesome.
