  1. You're not wrong. I remember Teddi talking about how John had texted her about Lucy before she went to Vanderpump Dogs with Kyle.
  2. It did seem like Lisa Rinna walking up when she did was perfect timing, didn't it? Eventually, Production wanted Rinna to get her hands on this bit of gossip so she could work her "magic". Now I wonder if LVP asking the Butler about about his cat on camera was all a part of the plan to reveal the Lucy Lucy storyline to the entire cast.
  3. Lisa Rinna's impression of LVP was the best laugh I've had all week, followed by Denise asking what they were all arguing about. But, does Denise know what show she signed up for, or is she just playing the role of the naive newbie? If we're going to be subjected to the Hamlin Spawn, I'd rather have this Shit-Stirring version of Rinna than the Zombie who stumbled her way through last season. I wonder if LVP remembers encouraging Rinna to become more involved with the group last season. LVP must have a long history with PK. That's the only reason I can imagine she puts up with him and Dorit. I don't even mind it if Lisa is being underhanded in dealing with those two trolls regarding the dog situation. Dorit was smiling while she was crying! She sucks at this game so badly, lol. Nothing. They would have had to make up some other bullshit storyline like they do every other season. I prefer Doggygate to the nonsense of Dorit terrorizing Teddi last season. At least, I think that's what happened last season.
  4. In the heat of the argument, I could see Haley exaggerating and claiming she doesn't remember her native language just to make JJ feel worse. Sometimes we stretch the truth to "win" an argument. But it's often difficult to tell if we're being shown insight into a character, or the show doesn't give a damn about continuity. Even though Jack's motivation for exposing Haley is flimsy at best, I thought Casey Moss and Matthew Ashford made the most of it and put on a good show. But, I felt bad that Missy Reeves and KdP had to have the same damn conversation Jennifer and Eve always have, although I kinda love the way Jennifer tears into Eve, which is odd because I usually root for the villain in these types of situations.
  5. When I factor in Calivati's Rinse-N-Repeat Tabloid Headline-style of writing, I don't mind characters like Nicole coming and going. His stories rarely lead to fascinating long-term repercussions, so it's not like anyone needs to stick around for an extended period of time. I feel like the sporadic pop-ins are as good as it's going to get when it comes to making the show feel fresh.
  6. They got me with the fake-out confession. The only thing that seemed off to me was that Victoria Konefal was saying she couldn't believe it but her face wasn't expressing much incredulity over what Claire was saying to them, which made more sense when we were shown that it was happening in Claire's mind. If they're going to stick with Claire coming back to put out the fire before driving off, I'm fine with that. It falls in line with the dubious sense of morality they've saddled her with lately. And, I think someone her age would say she did it because of Ciara besting her over and over again, as she wouldn't necessarily understand that human behaviors can be driven by sub-conscious and unconscious motivators. I don't believe anyone attempts to murder another because of magazine contests and competition for suitors. I liked that they had her saying, "I don't know!" when Tripp asked her why she did it at one point. I really wish they were writing Eve and Jack as having an ON FIRE sex life, because then I could kind of understand why he listens to any of her suggestions.
  7. That's unfortunate about Sheri Anderson leaving. There were some episodes awhile back that felt like I was watching a totally different show with the way the characters talked to each other, and with a little help I assumed they were penned by her. I haven't seen anything like that lately, so I wondered if there had been or would be a parting of the ways. So was working with Corday and Carlivati that frustrating, or were they no longer interested in her style?
  8. Traumatic brain injury can cause emotional and behavioral problems. Obviously, the show is taking liberties with Jordan but it's not completely out of the realm of possibilities. If they had taken a little more time with this story, I think there was decent story to tell with Ben and Jordan. We could have gotten occasional glimpses of Jordan losing her grip with "reality" and blaming it all on Ben while Ben struggles to stake his claim on a normal life. All of this culminating in that hospital room could have made that fight more compelling. I think the different approaches of the actors may have even contributed to a sort of blurring the lines, as there's a kind of normalcy in the way Chrishell Stause is playing Jordan's madness and RSW plays Ben's madness without subtlety. Perhaps there were backstage reasons for bulldozing through this but it plays on-screen like another (of many) instance of missed opportunities. The best part of the show right now is that I can watch it in about 20 minutes or less and move on to something more interesting but that's disappointing because I do still have a fondness for this little world called Salem, USA.
  9. Was Spencer Cassadine a demon child? Because the article makes it sound like he's going to be a mini-Stefano. And, they've already laid the ground work for that with Rafe going off to Europe to help the troubled Johnny.
  10. How soon before filming started did this thing with Lucy Lucy happen? The more I think about it the more I wonder if Dorit would pull this stunt to secure a storyline for herself this season. If the woman can run off to Utah and leave her children right after her home was burglarized, I'm not sure this dog debacle is beneath her. Definitely not beneath PK.
  11. Somebody wanted this dog story to happen, or they wouldn't be talking about it on camera. If LVP went to Teddy and asked her not to talk about it, I don't see Teddy being so malicious that she'd do it, regardless. Unless Teddy's on-screen persona is a total sham. I suspect whoever leaked the story to the press well be the fuel for most of the drama all the way through the 3 part finale, lol.
  12. Many of the actors have talked about the hectic pace of filming the show, and the writing barely rises about mediocrity on most days. So if she didn't need the money, I could see why she'd say she wouldn't come back. But I wasn't watching when Vivian last "died", so I don't know if Sorel actually said that in an exit interview, or the writer of the article was relaying false information.
  13. For as ridiculous as Jordan tying up Ciara to keep her safe is, I think I like the way Chrishell Stause is playing it. Without histrionics but with that controlled, friendly tone of voice and the manicured Barbie-like appearance. She seems so normal that it's almost more frightening than if she were raving like a lunatic. Can someone remind me why Jack wants to be mayor? Was it just because Eve told him it would be a good idea? I like the idea of a man without his memory falling into old patterns of behavior, and I do remember we had a scene of Jennifer talking about how he was behaving in a power hungry way from his past. It's just that he's on so sporadically, and Eve's meddling is being written in such an annoying way, that I forget why he wanted to be mayor to begin with.
  14. On another site, the writer of the article claims that Louise Sorel said she wouldn't be returning to the show, which was the fuel to the speculation that Robin Strasser would be a recast Vivian. And, something about an exit story for Stefan.
  15. How did those who are familiar with Genie Francis' incarnation of Diana Colville feel about Diana and John's scenes today? Did it seem odd that John made no mention of a change in her personality, or at least that she seemed like a more cynical person?
  16. Isn't Corday the one who doesn't like characters who aren't currently on the canvas to be talked about? I thought that was one of his bone-headed ideas. Jennifer and Jack were interesting. It amused me that she kinda pissed all over his hope for being the future mayor of Salem, then later chastised him for not being the man who could find hope in every situation. I wondered if that was the kind of argument they'd have had in the past but Jack doesn't even realize it because of his memory loss. So, maybe, they're already falling into familiar rhythms of behavior? It's crazy to me that I can sit through and possibly enjoy Sonny and Leo scenes but I can barely stand to watch either character when they're interacting with others. Paul Telfer seems like he's always having fun no matter awful Xander is behaving.
  17. But that's perfectly normal human behavior. The mind can shift in a matter of seconds, especially when interacting with different personalities. It's been one of the best parts of Gabi's story after her misdeeds were exposed, watching her speak to JJ with true remorse and then spitting her venom at those for which she has little regard. Ben is going to wear a different "face" when he wants to impress someone like Ciara than he will when he feels he's being oppressed by someone like Chad or Hope.
  18. My desktop is old and cranky and gave me a bunch of blank screens, so I finally looked Diana Colville up on my phone a found a biography for her. There was a bit about how she schemed to frame Victor for the theft of something in an act of revenge against him, and it made RoJohn angry with her. But I had a hard time believing Genie Francis was playing the type of troublemaker back then that Judith Chapman usually plays, and it sounds like she'll be playing now. Hopefully, my love for Judith Chapman will override what sounds like a case of character assassination.
  19. With Dr Rolf and his magic serum on the loose, I don't know why anyone would bat an eye at the mention of Kimberly dying. No one on this show would have to stay dead for long. But it was cool to see the outline that Carlivati posted. I love getting a look behind the curtain. Eric and Sarah are already co-dependent and they aren't even sleeping together, yet. I know the show is trying way too hard with them but it's fun to consider the psychological subtext of two people in an unhealthy relationship who aren't in a relationship. I thought Rex gave us some good insight when he talked about his relationship with Sarah, and how he felt she made him feel inferior at times. I suspect she's immediately drawn to a good-looking male that she believes will allow her a dominant emotional position in the relationship. She quickly sniffed this out in Eric, and his true lurve for Nicole makes things a little more interesting for her. To "catch" Eric while he carries a torch for another would be quite a victory for her. Meanwhile, she hates Xander because he challenges her but that's also why she'd find him sexually exciting. Just a little arm chair analysis, lol. This show leaves plenty of room for filling in the blanks. If anyone else sees it differently, do tell. Eric's admonishments aren't out-of-character for the martyr complex it seems he's had since he was a priest. Perhaps even before that. I think he's in a perpetual state of Pity Party for One because he doesn't know how to deal with Nicole's death. And if he's dealing with Survivor Guilt on top of that, it's no wonder that he's a total mess right now.
  20. Was Diana Colville a schemer when she was played by Genie Francis all those years ago? I can't find any info about the character.
  21. It's such a nice change of pace. I was watching an old episode Guiding Light last week and saw her named as a head writer, and thought of you.
  22. Did you notice how Hope removed her jacket and Kristian Alfonso's body language became more flirtatious after Rafe closed the door on them in her office? She even beat on his chest towards the end of that conversation. I kinda wanted to high five Hope for using a subtext of seduction to get Rafe to see things her way.
  23. Do you think that's why we're getting some characters having thought-provoking conversations recently? I was surprised how involved I got in Ciara and Abigail's conversation, and I'm not much of a fan of either character. It was like the characters actually got to use their minds to a greater degree, rather than the fluff that the show usually relies on.
  24. Really enjoyed Ciara and Abigail's chat. I liked that Ciara's inner conflict over her attraction to Ben was on full display, and the actress handled the scenes well. Probably some of the best work we've seen from her between today and yesterday. I wondered if all of Abigail's good points were undermined when Ciara noted the hypocrisy in Abigail not take full responsibility for her actions. I suspect most of that conversation was a way for Ciara to talk herself into going back to Ben, anyways. Julie has a new horse to beat to death with Gabi "pushing" her down the stairs. I love this rivalry, especially when you look a pictures of the young Susan Seaforth Hayes and imagine she's just fighting with her younger self. I think Gabi makes her feel alive again. Life with Doug isn't that interesting.
  25. Oh sure, none of his argument made sense. It was glaringly obvious that he lives by a very different moral than Ciara, and I thought RSW's wooden acting even served the character in those scenes. It was like most of what Ciara was saying was just bouncing off of him. It's not even in his best interest to agree with her. But how does a man who's murdered people, and then been told by professionals that he's been cured (whatever the hell that means) live within society? I like this story because it's so messy. Everyone has a valid argument against Ben. But, I also understand why he'd want to take advantage of what could be considered a second chance.
