  1. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_crimes_in_occupied_Poland_during_World_War_II#Soviet_deportations_as_a_means_of_ethnic_cleansing https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soviet_repressions_of_Polish_citizens_(1939–1946)
  2. Actually, Lisa was riding properly. She was riding English saddle, at a trot, and posting. It also looked like she was in a dressage ring.
  3. Wait, wasn't that her high school friend? Or was it a college friend? I assumed it was a high school friend, because they mentioned where she was going to college. I didn't realize the friend's dad killed her dad because the timeline seemed off to me. Didn't her dad die right as she got her minor league contract? I assumed she was still in high school. We didn't see this happen in this episode, so I thought he killed someone else.
  4. Yeah, I would have been pissed had I not gotten to see those gorillas, too. I was amazed just seeing them on the screen. And up close? I was wondering how they determined who got to go. Separating the twins seemed so bizarre, especially with that weird love triangle going on. And that former model? Why'd she get to go? I can't tell if I like her or hate her. Her conversation with Amy? The one who keeps getting left behind? Was a piece of work. She wanted to talk, get an apology, and that was it. She did not care what Amy had to say. I also thought the trip to the Matsai warrior village was pretty awesome. I'd be game to try the camel's milk and some of the other more unique cuisines, but I don't think I could handle drinking the cow's blood.
  5. I'm in. Rare cross of excellent travel porn and the right amount of drama.
  6. Ehhh....I was ok with Erika not fessin' up. It was her big night. She was coming down after a performance. The last thing she wanted to do was get caught in their crosshairs, with all those ladies coming after her. What exactly does Erika owe them, anyway? Beyond Eileen, it's not like they have really been overly friendly to her. She doesn't owe them the truth, so they can turn around and slaughter her with it. It's clear, in her mind, the only person she considers a friend and that she owes the truth to is Yolanda. Rightly or wrongly.
  7. I work for a catering company during wedding season that's very popular in my area. The company does everything: sets up and decorates the room, serves food, helps coordinate flowers, the DJ, lights, and other vendors, even orgnanizes the ceremony. You'd be surprised how common buffets are at our weddings. I probably worked 15 weddings this summer. I bet about 4-5 were sit down dinners; most were buffets. And the buffet weddings aren't cheap weddings either. Cocktail hour, dessert table, plus wedding cake, open bar. So I wasn't surprised that Scheana had a buffet. It's pretty typical at the weddings I work. Plus, I'm not sure food was a big priority to her anyway. She talked more about candy, flowers, and booze than she did about the menu.
  8. I actually like this show. I think it is sad at times, but I think it portrays divorce in a way that we don't really see too much on television. In most shows, it seems like divorced couples always get along great. But here, I like how they are exploring the messiness of it all, which is a big theme in "chick lit." I am also fine with the characters. To me, characters don't have to be likeable for me to want to watch them. They just have to be interesting. So far, I've found each woman's interactions with ex to be interesting. By the way, Abby did talk to the guy she was exchanging emails with when she saw him at school, after some concert or something. She mentioned how she got his emails again; he said he was sorry about the divorce but wanted to start things up. She said no and asked him to leave her alone. Then her ex Jake saw the whole thing and got angry about it later.
  9. I also have a hard time with the argument that the Scooby gang is trespassing. Annalise's home also doubles as their workplace. The gang has pulled many an all-nighter there, working on cases. They could easily make the argument that they were there for any number of work or school-related reasons. that's why I've always had a hard time with the idea that this thriving, successful attorney works from her home. She couldn't rent space near the university? But I guess it is necessary for the storyline.
  10. It's nice to know that Jax clearly hasn't grown up. He thinks everything will be ok if he's honest. Ha! He's totally clueless with women. He leads them on, tattooing their name on his arm, talking about making babies with them one day, then the next day he totally changes his mind and says he wasn't serious. He did that with this Carmen chick and that rebound girl from season one Laura-Leigh. He clearly wasn't being honest, there. I'm so glad this show is back. FI Tom's video was the best. I totally would have forgiven him if he had sent me a video like that, too.
  11. Well, all of this is certainly true, rules are different with Super PACS, especially after the Citizens United ruling. If he started a 527 or 501©4 (which are diffrent types of Super Pacs and are also non-profits), they are not required to disclose donors to the FEC. And Bishop is smart enough to do something like that, to effectively hide himself from the prying eyes of Castro. I really liked Alicia's flirtation with Finn, for exactly some of the reasons some of you didn't. I like that it doesn't have all the tension and drama of her relationships with Peter and Will. It seems like she has fun with him, totally lights up. Plus I think Matthew Goode is cute.
  12. See, I somehow missed what the big deal was with Harvey's father's tapes. What was on them that was so sacrosanct? Was that scummy Logan insinuating that he still had feelings for Rachel? I'm finding that I actually like Rachel and Mike together, which I didn't think would be the case before they got together. I may be in the minority, but I actually like this storyline. I like watching Mike go toe-to-toe with Harvey and match him. Part of the problem, which has actually been the problem all along, is that Harvey still sees Mike as his underling. He never treated him as a client, nor does he treat him as a worthy opponent.
  13. I liked Mike working for the investment banking firm and being Harvey's client, for once. It's an interesting dynamic- Mike goes from the underling to the boss, to some degree. And it seems like Harvey is having a hard time adjusting. When Mike presented the plan for the takeover, he was exactly right. If it was any other client, Harvey would have helped the client achieve that goal instead of telling them to come back with another idea. Harvey was still acting like Mike's boss. Mike was right to put the firm in review. Harvey really needs to be handling clients better. The way he handled that other guy with the $1 billion worth of business? He could also take his business elsewhere. I like seeing Mike working legit. I also want to see Mike come out ahead in his battle with Harvey. Have been very anti-Harvey these days. Things are too easy for him. He doesn't seem to have to work for it anymore. What I didn't like? I didn't like Louis taking Harvey's crappy advice. I hate how Louis is the punching bag. He should be the dominant one taking on the SEC. After all, he saved Mike's hide in the spring season finale. Also don't like Rachel's role on Harvey's team. She and Mike think it will be OK, but it will destroy their relationship. Her dad is one thing, her lover, something else entirely. And isn't it a huge conflict of interest, considering they live together?
  14. Her face is so plastic and overdone that it makes me wonder how she can look down at the others. Ugh....
  15. I, too, was amused by how the Brits looked down their nose at anything the Americans did. If they showed enjoyment at the polo match, that was déclassé. It they showed interest in their companions, that was too much interest. If they wore a dress to the polo match, they were over-dressed. Really, the only one who seemed a teeny bit over dressed was Noelle, with her ostentatious hat. Marissa and Juliet were dressed much in line with the Brits. But I think that's the setup for the show, really. The Americans are going to try to break into a society that snubs its nose at them. I must admit, I'm as much of an Anglophile as the next girl watching this show, but something in me cringed when Marissa (?) said she gave up her American citizenship for British citizenship. Dual citizenship, yes, renounce it entirely, no.
