  1. Looks like another ShopHQ host is gone. I see that Wendi Russo is no longer on the host page and she also shut down her Facebook ShopHQ page as Brian Kessler did. They're now down to 13 hosts.
  2. That explains why their pictures are gone at ShopHQ's host page. They're not the only ones who are out as Brian Kessler's picture is gone too so he must also be departing. Wonder if his husband will still continue to be an OAP for the Dior sunglasses' shows they're now showing?
  3. As you can see there is a new thread topic title for Evine which officially becomes Shop HQ tomorrow on August 21st. Here's a link to some of the information on what they say will be taking shopping to the next level = LOL! https://www.evine.com/l/ShopHQ?utm_content=BecomingShopHQTop&j=21596&sfmc_sub=4849191&l=26_HTML&u=2674122&mid=100009752&jb=172&utm_medium=email&utm_source=promo_Electronics&utm_campaign=2019_0820_Electronics_Apple I see that they're changing banks for their Evine Card which will now be a Shop HQ Card to Synchrony Bank. That's the bank for the Qcard and in a few days will also be the bank for the HSN Card. Looks like Synchrony Bank will now have a monopoly on the shopping networks. From what I've seen I'm not impressed with their new additions which seem to be mostly more watches. 😩

    Chernobyl

Thanks MARINW for the recommendation to watch CITY 40 on Netflix which I did tonight and it was really informative. I learned so much about Closed Cities of which I knew nothing even though I knew Mercury, NV, existed in the United States; I just didn't realize that it was a Closed City. Hopefully, the Russian Human Rights Specialist, Nadezhda Kutepova who had to flee to France after she was accused by the Russian government of "Industrial Espionage" in 2015 will not suffer the same fate that Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia when they were poisoned by the Russians. Here's a good article about Nadezhda Kutepova which details some of the things discussed and shown in the documentary. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/oct/20/russia-activist-flee-nuclear-tv-witch-hunt I see Netflix also has the PBS documentary, Building Chernobyl's Megatomb which I've never seen; that's next on my viewing list!
  5. Yes!!! Unfortunately they're now on the QVC Hosts page as Fresh Faces. What a laff!
  6. Daniel Green has rejoined as a host beginning today on one of their never ending Invicta shows. Hopefully he'll be hosting on The Sizzle again.
  7. Ditto for me. I was so happy to see her name in the credits. Hoping this isn't the last we'll see of her this season.
  8. The winner of the 2019 Emmy Award Creative Arts Awards is Y&R with 5 Emmy's. They couldn't possibly win for Best Daytime Drama; could they? https://www.goldderby.com/article/2019/the-young-and-the-restless-daytime-emmys-creative-arts-awards-after-forever-news/
  9. And here's the post at Daytime Confidential that talks about Tyler Johnson joining the cast of Y&R. https://daytimeconfidential.com/2019/05/03/tyler-johnson-joins-the-young-and-the-restless
  10. I could put this in the Media thread but will post it here for those that don't know Colin and Christie. Here is an excellent video that will give you an idea of the antics that Colin pulled from Amazing Race 5. I detested him and his wife-to-be but this time I'm pulling for them to win. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YMP9PMO9yvk
  11. It's official that iBeauty is now QVC 3. At midnight my Roku QVC app changed names and design, but the website has not changed.
  12. Now they just need to get rid of Butt Biscuit!!!!!
  13. Ouch! I think Bankruptcy reorganization is in their future!
  14. I'm out of the loop. I haven't been following theater news for a while. Anyone hear about this? I doubt anything's going to top Christina Ricci as Lizzie Borden but with Ciara and Eden I expect some high belting. However, based on this description this could either be very fun or tedious and excruciating. I've seen enough "modern" takes on old or historical material to know that it can really go either way depending on the execution. This musical has been around for awhile outside of the U.S where it originated. Eden has been involved with it since 2016 when she starred in the 1st English European production in Denmark https://vimeo.com/200798340 before it moved to London at the Greenwich, an off-West End Theatre hoping for a West End transfer which never materialized. Here's the trailer for the show in London in 2017 and it will give you a taste of what to expect when it comes to NYC. Your use of the word "excruciating" best describes its musical sound. It has played regionally in theatres nationwide over the years. One production just ended on March 3rd where I live in the OC at the Chance Theatre in Eden's hometown of Anaheim Hills. I love Ciara Renee and Eden Espinosa, but there's no way I would travel to NYC to see this musical.
