  1. Yeah, we definitely got the ice-toilet subplot in Australia, but I don't recall Redmond being in the episode.
  2. I was really not a fan of this. There seemed to be a few too many instances of *blah* happened because reasons (eg I don't know how I got out of the phantom zone, I never used my powers before, literally because reasons), and between the cut-rate Miranda Priestly (Cat Grant) and the off-brand Torchwood (the DEO), it feels like it's just aping more iconic references. I will, however, be eternally grateful that they're giving Laura Benanti work, although when they first showed the Danverses, I immediately recognised Dean Cain and guessed that they had cast Helen Slater as Mrs Danvers I think in the back half of the episode, it does feel like there is a conscious effort to find ways of referring to him without having to call him Superman over and over.
  3. I have the feeling that Jim is super concerned about appearances and saves all his sniping for off camera. That's why Misty was all trying to butter him up, about being such a supportive teammate, during their TH. But his face said, to me, "Oh, just wait til I get you alone". This is based on nothing but my gut instinct, and I could be totally wrong. I also get a distinctly sinister vibe from their dynamic. That does not feel like a healthy relationship. Like, at all. Yes. The people who thought "Oh, the garden one is easy" got tripped up but good by the Flower Pot Of Evil. I second these thoughts. Nope. Kill the Yield. Kill it with fire. I have better things to do with my television-watching time than spend it having to put up with people sitting around with nothing better to do than bitch about the people what done them wrong. And the festering animosity poisons any future legs. This also brings up what I think should happen with the Save on an NEL. I agree there should have been a contingency, but I don't think they went with the right one. If there'd been a contingency NEL later in the race (which the racers had been made aware of), it would've made this situation that much more bearable. Jesus, really? Rode Hard clearly married Put Away Wet. Amen. I do not need to see a show about how to cut off your nose to spite your face. Eh. I think the equation was more "I don't know" = "I need to look it up on a phone" + "I don't have a phone" = "I need to find someone with a phone".
  4. I suspect that's the editors' way of saying "look at these massive douche bags. You are going to hate them by the end of this season", which is my story and I'm sticking to it. Seriously. can the casting team stop it with the casting of That Guy And His Equally That Girlfriend/Wife/Partner?
  5. I kinda like these two. They seem to have a very healthy sense of just how ridiculous they are.
