  1. "I win Star Caker in Bake Week!" Absolutely delightful! So nice to have the series/season.
  2. I am very satisfied with the outcome. Raph's friend/model for the made to measure... you don't say those things out loud in front of a camera! Think them, sure! Not a good look. I thought Patrick and Esme were being very generous with the comments for Rebecca (which is partly why I like these shows - they are supportive, not mean-spirited) but Serena and Raph made riskier choices and were several levels of difficulty ahead of her. Can't wait for the next season!
  3. Damian's Made to Measure looked like a flight attendants uniform to me.
  4. So, let me get this straight. Prue says she hates baked beans and Paul tells her she has to be open-minded about it, but he hates gherkins and Lottie and Mark removed them from their steamed buns. Right.
  5. Laura's steamed buns irked me. Those were NOT Japanese. And Prue and Paul going on about the flavor as if China and Japan are interchangeable. Grrr. On a less annoyed note - can you imagine what Kim-Joy would have done with the kawaii challenge?!
  6. I love that the competition on these sort of shows (GBBO, Pottery Throw Down, etc.) are so much more friendly and supportive than their US counterparts. That said, I am annoyed that Sarah, who I was hoping to see in the finals, got extra time; however, I understand why they did it - it is the only way to have any sort of suspense over who would be eliminated. If they did not judge her eliminator dish, I imagine it would have had to be an auto elimination since she would have presented dishes in only 1 of the 2 challenges. I feel like they should have given all of them the extra time (if they wanted it). Maybe Suzie and Georgia could have used those minutes to pause and think about how much pesto to add (I can't remember what the other criticism was - seasoning of a pesto being off?).
  7. Thank you! That is the one stumping me! I saw Vladislav, Deacon, and Viago when they were dancing, but all the other reveals were fantastic. Paul Reubens was probably my favorite.
  8. The movie is available on Kanopy right now. Access is free, if your library is affiliated. Some of Taika's other movies are also available. I feel lucky, because the energy vampire in my office resigned a couple months ago. I swear, I have breathed easier since she left! She would pulled the "I have to pee, too" that Colin used in the pilot.
  9. I think Debbie would have also treated Ruth poorly if Ruth had not left the bungalow. She would have been jealous that Tom Grant was interested in Ruth, instead of her, and slut shamed Ruth for "sleeping her way to top" as a result.
  10. I could not stop laughing at Martin Kemp "baking" his buttercream!
  11. It was, to my relief, mostly the same. I do miss Mel, Sue, and Mary, but I'm sure I will get used to to Noel, Sandy, and Prue. There were several fun moments, like Yan's "Science!" and Noel's look of concern/confusion/panic as he watched Sophie (I think) mold her champagne bottle. I didn't remember what what she was designing, so when they first showed her molding the top of the bottle, I had a moment of, "WTF? Is she making an X-rated cake?!"
  12. Even though I have seen him in there roles, I always think of him as Guppy from Bleak House.
  13. I can't get the song from the Dittrich Furs ad out of my head! It's the ad that the wig commercial was based on - a woman in a fur on horseback, slo-mo, similar song... Those ads played for decades.
