  1. Cheers for the clarification! It certainly was a long time ago, so I am not surprised things merged in my mind at this point!
  2. I recall exactly when I first started watching - It was Brooke & Ridge's first wedding (due to about a six month delay getting episodes to Australia at the time, it would've been 1995). And the funniest thing was, even too this day the entire thing (wedding, reception, drama) - took two weeks of episodes! I recall back in the day there was the joke about soapies being so slow with plot that cup on coffee in the scene would still be hot in six months time, but B&B has always been one to go at a faster-then-others paces - except for that wedding! I recall KKL being gorgeous, a fight between Ric & CJ (with the kid actors that where around at the time!) and I think Taylor trying to escape from being dead/Prince's Lair) It kinda was a hella interesting introduction to the show!
  3. I just learnt a new BatB fact today! Well maybe retro-new ;) Okay a lot of y'all may already have known it, but it is always fun when we learn something new! I just read that Fabio agreed to guest star on BatB several times as one of Sally's close friends was because he and Darlene Conley where close friends in real life! That is so wholesome! :)
  4. When I heard the 90s series theme song at the end of Kristy and the Baby Parade my heart did a little flutter!
  5. Yeah, once you get to the romantic entanglements and feuding that seems to dominate books in the 60s-80s, it felt like the girls where really 15/16 and not 13 anymore. Honestly Stacey and the Bad Girls, while a fun read, in hindsight is pretty WTF when you realize the girls are only 13 (but make a lot more sense if you think the girls are 15/16). As to my thoughts of the series... I liked it Kinda bummed Shannon was nowhere to be seen. Everybody still clearly hates Mallory LOL. The actress playing Jessi was fantastic. More so then Little Miss Stoneybrook... And Down, I kinda wished Babysitters on Board would be made (a crossover with a cruise line and DisneyWorld), but I understand that ain't gonna happen in a COVID world). What can I say... the kid in me wants another trip to the Bahamas and Cinderella's Castle. :D
  6. Yes. Infamously during the Vegas Wedding movie, she was in Vegas already shooting another movie... Showgirls - in fact her 5 minute cameo in the Vegas Wedding movie... she looked like she had stepped straight off the Showgirls set.
  7. My issue with the floating timeline is that it really only became a thing in the last two seasons. I know as a show, it wasn't perfect and things slipped in that didn't match it being 2013/4 later down the track, but for the most part Production went out of the way in the first five seasons to match the seasons up with Seasons 1-4 each spread over apx 3-4 months (everybody rugged up in Season 2 but summery in Season 4) and half the reason Season 5 was set over three days was because they where running out of space in Piper's original sentence (though the Show Powers that Be always where wishy-washy if she had any extra time added). Season six was actually not that bad following the original timeline other then Morello's pregnancy advancing really fast. It was only the last episode of season 6 and Season 7 that threw the timeline out the window by introducing 2019 issues and went with the floating timeline. Or maybe the entire prison, as a result of the riot was thrown in a time eddy and resurfaced Philadephia Experiment style 5 years later LOL
  8. I finally swapped streaming services (here in Australia) that had Apocolypse and 1984 on it. (Previously Netflix got a new season like 2 years later - we'd still only had up to Cult on it). Some of the decisions this season where... a choice. I keep thinking in regards to Madison 2.0 there might be a few 'wibbly wobbly timey wimey' rules that Hell follows, or at least thoses in Hell. In the altered timeline Hell did remember what happened allong with Mallory - thus why she was given browny points to bring Misty (and in the future, Madison back... again). Which makes me think when Madison 2.0 when she is reserrected (for the second time) will have her redemption and memories back (but has to deal with witches that don't remember her redemption). As she was back in hell when the timeline changed... it protected her somewhat. Hell Misty could've had as well. We only had her there for 30 seconds after Nan dropped her off and she was a little confused (and lets be honest - she was never the most vocal or confident of Witches at the best of times - let alone after a few years stuck in her personal hell). Also on a real-world note, I feel if Ryan Murphy where to bring WHS back with the Witches (which he has alluded to), I can only assume Emma Roberts would be one of the first ones he casts. So it pays to do this, when there is a naturally occurring conflict already built into the plot (Maddison having to show she's redeemed to people who don't trust her). The double-casting did grate, but it really was Joan Collins Evie and Bubbles that annoyed me really. They basically where the same character with the same backstory. At least a throwaway line for one of them to talk about 'her bitch twin sister' would've made it a little less grating. At least with the two new characters Evan Peters played where totally different folks. I didn't hate the season, but I didn't care for it either. It just kinda felt like two different shows (same issues Roanoke had). I guess this is why most TV serials leave a time travelling episode to a 2-parter at best. Time Travel doesn't work that well as a storyline when you drag it on for 10 hours. You forget your inital purpose and set up and there is just a lot of filler.
  9. I'm not sure if it is just me, but these trailers feels more like a Funny or Die/College Humour five minute skit (like was done for Daria), then an actual show itself. I'll reserve judgement for the actual show itself. Though its a bit weird having it go from a 3-camera live audience set-up to a one camera show.
  10. I really do need to finish this show. I recall about 5 years ago talking on these forums about my binging of the series (back when we did it on DVDs!), but I kinda got to Series 4 before my interest fell off the map (well that and not owning a TV - by choice - for three years after that LOL). I won't start at the beginning again (certain episodes I don't need to see again and Lord knows seeing Francie alive and happy again would be just way too sad and hurt my heart). Saying that I am not too sure about venturing past where I stopped - early-mid season 4 - as I have been told it only goes downhill from there!
  11. OMG this was totally me as well. I started at 10 with what was in my Primary School Library (when the older girls all seemed to mature and sophiscated!) I thought I was the only one that jumped from BSC to VC Andrews (I loved series-books and it felt like in the early 90s there wasn't much else available in the tween/teen market - a bit of a literature desert really - Goosebumps/Animorphs and those classic 90s YA series where still a few years away - so basically for me it was jumping from Enid Blyton to Ann M Martin... to Virgina Andrews LOL). I too stopped really reading before Dawn left - though my younger sister for a hot minute read them (with just a wee bit of encouragement from myself lol). But literally the last one I read was *Stacey and the Bad Girls* because then she aged out, and I kinda got to the point of moving onto more teeange boy activities (though like you everytime I was in a book store or the book aisle of a department store I read the blurbs of the newest books - I even recall going as far as looking at the last one #131 as well).
  12. I loved it. My actual least favourite episode was Boy-Crazy Stacey. Which sucks, cause other then being my favourite book, it is one of the best books in all childrens literature canon (fight me lol) I guess the budget really showed here with instead of a busy Jersey Shore beach and boardwalk on a hot summers day, we got.. well some cold looking back beach near Vancouver. It was just dreadful looking. It looked like they where holidaying in the suburbs lol. Actually the Camp Moosehead episodes had the same issues as well. Summer camp never looked more cold lol. It really did take me out of the moment. But they're my only really gripes. Mallory reminded me of the Movie Mallory a lot. But I didn't care for the triplets that much. I understand finding 10 year redhead triplets might be hard, but at least get 3 kids of the same height? Claudia and the Mean Janine was actually my favourite, there was a lot of hot emotional complexity in it. I just fear COVID-19 might age out the actresses before season 2 gets off the ground. I hope not.
  13. I started watching Survivor Season 1, episode... 2 actually. I have no memory why I didn't watch the first ep, but I do recall BB's elimination as my first! Lol There was a time I was so obsessed with Survivor I could name all players in order of elimination, up until Cook Islands. My interest started waining around then (though I thoroughly enjoyed China and Mirconesia), and still solidly watched up until HvV, but I haven't seen anything since HvV. Partly due to not been in the US and the local channel that has the rights has been pretty haphazard about showing it and my real life legitimately changing my TV viewing habits (confession - until my partner moved in with me a couple of years ago, I spent the previous 4 years without a television - hahahaha so hipster of me!) But I've recently turned the big 4-0 myself and now I have a local streaming service with all the seasons on it, I'm gonna jump back in and watch the show from the beginning (as well as the current Season 40 of course) I'm actually feeling really nostalgic about some of those earlier seasons! (Okay maybe not Thailand, though I can respect Brian's gameplay (though nothing else)) - funny how they feel like such simpler times. I reckon I can get to at least All Stars before I start questioning myself! Hahaha Though I'm definitely interested in reviewing Cook Islands/Fiji/Tocantins again (if I get that far) as I don't actually remember much of them though I know I watched them! I'm legitimately drawing blanks for large parts of those seasons.
  14. New cast for Season 17 of DWTS AU. James Rees Cassandra Thorburn Constance Hall Miguel Maestre Olympica Valance Sir Curtly Ambrose Michelle Bridges Denise Scott Samuel Johnson Courtney Act Jett Kenny For the non-Aussies, my breakdown - legit celebrities - Sir Curtly Ambrose (cricketer), Michelle Bridges (Fitness Expert from Biggest Loser AU), Denise Scott (Comedian - LOVE HER), Samuel Johnson (Cancer charity philanthropist/fundraiser/Actor/Gold Logie Winner), Courtney Act (Reality Star - Australian Idol/RuPaul's Drag Race/Celebrity Big Brother UK) There because of more famous familial connections - Cassandra Thorburn - Karl Stevanovik's (breakfast TV host) ex-wife - recent high profile divorce, Jett Kenny - Lisa Curry and Grant Kenny's son (both where Olympians and the nation's golden couple of a big part of the 80s and 90s). Well I guess I've heard of: Constance Hall - first out in Big Brother 5/Mummy Blogger. I have zero idea who the heck these folk are: James Rees, Olympia Valance, Miguel Maestre A quick search shows Olympia Valance would be in the more famous familial connection category - she's Holly Valance's half sister. James Rees seems to be a children's performer/knock off version of the Wiggles/Hi-5 and Miguel Maestre is a chef (and hot - allow me some superficiality lol) I am surprised their are no Rugby (either League or Union), or AFL players this seasons. There is normally at least one or two per season when on channel 7 (and AFL players normally do pretty well - two have won and most others have performed quiet well (its a sport whose moves and general play compliment ballroom dancing in a weird fascinating way).
