  1. Well that's not entirely true, both Teddy (mitches ex) and Dave(Matthew Broderick) weren't sterotypes. But yeah it's the typical sitcom writer lazyness to fall back on sterotypes for jokes and plot lines. As the show gets older the more they fall back on this and the worse the characters become. They were all much more reasonable and realistic in the 1st season.
  2. My point was more that it's part of a pattern this show has when dealing with Alex, not about life in general. Everything about Rory got more and more unrealistic as the show went on. I still don't see how she could have graduated ahead of Paris, not unless the elder Gilmore were more generous with the donation money.
  3. Meh. The Alex storyline is giving me Paris flashbacks. Let me guess she's also not going to be valedictorian either. At least her meltdown wasn't on tv I suppose. Once again the writers are reinforcing the idea that following the rules and being responsible gets you nowhere. Yay?!?
  4. Did I miss something here? Don't Alex and Hailey share the same bedroom? How would Alex not know that Hailey was asleep in her room the whole time?
  5. I was so hoping that Phil's awesome land was going to turn out unintentionally more terrifying than their usual haunted house routine, but no they went the more predictable route of falling for that ridiculous lie of the neighbors. Time to bring in some new writers, the old ones are starting to run out of gas it seems.
  6. The whole cold storyline doesn't make sense anyway. Cam should have been sick in the first episode, then Jay and Gloria in the second yet everyone was just fine till now. They might have gotten away with it if had been the first episode of the season maybe. Just poor writing and planning all around.
  7. I was thinking the same thing. What's also sad is that we have no clue what she's even interested in studying.
