Dave, I'm with you on the Anne credits. For me, the opening credits just add to the confusing tonal shifts throughout the show; it wavers too much between a supposed "grittiness" (to quote several other critics' assertions) and Montgomery's foundational humor and optimism.

I love this SO HARD. I was thinking about submitting a Little House episode for the Canon, but I cannot possibly top this.

I think the original song that Brenda listened to over and over again was R.E.M.'s "Losing My Religion."
