  1. The show has become ridiculous. There are several meetings about moving the Raiders without anyone from the Raiders present. People make decisions about spending hundreds of millions of dollars in 15 seconds. A former player who acts as a financial adviser to maybe 2 or 3 players is the person spearheading the moving of an NFL franchise.
  2. I don't get why the Swedish guy didn't give her the knife when she asked for it when he was trying to sleep, but I also don't get why she didn't just reach in and get it herself. I suspect there was a lot of resentment on both sides building up to the big scene and it boiled over. If Laura gave any useful advice instead of trying to micromanage, I could understand being upset over being ignored, but the Swede built the shelter, built the fire and got all the food. He wanted to work in peace and Laura was incapable of allowing it.
  3. Good thing that guy didn't go jihad on her. The episode was OK. Glad the producers decided to remove the guy. Would have been more entertaining to keep him there, but would have been mean to Tawny. I thought Tawny was a good person and handled things well.
  4. I can't help but wonder if some important things were edited out. It seems strange that everyone would go against Dani. I get that Alana likely planted some thoughts in people's heads, but they can't be that gullible. Laura and Eva didn't like her either before meeting Alana. It doesn't excuse their behavior, but it seems unlikely that multiple people would dislike her for no reason.
  5. When you don't have food for a long time, sometimes you lose bacteria needed to digest food. It's possible Shane couldn't digest anything he ate. He probably needed something like probiotics to recover.
  6. Maybe Dani washes herself in the water while everyone else doesn't bother.
  7. I think Shane, Jeff and EJ are similar. They don't like large groups and want to keep things simple. That's why they got along. I have no issue with them wanting to be on their own. I would advise them to stay away from the larger group. It's difficult enough to take care of yourself. Why should they have to feed so called survival experts? Particularly when it's clear some of them are lazy and don't want to put in the effort to find food. Chris is a fisherman. He has shown no fishing skills. I Assume he works on a trawler. Maybe if Alana had given Shane a little piece of her minnow, Shane would still be there.
  8. They all look somewhat tan. I think they only go into the sun when they have to and they're covered in dirt which helps. Some of them have made hats.
  9. The group of 5 had to smell the food cooking and probably saw smoke. When you haven't eaten anything substantial for weeks, your sense of smell is heightened. It's not surprising they found them. Having said that, it's obvious a lot is staged. You have to remember there's a film crew following them around so the scenes where someone is alone (outside of the infrared night shots) they aren't alone at all. I hope the group of 5 hunts something big, like maybe another eel, and then shares it with the group of 3. Seems only fair.
  10. I'm rooting for Shane. Alana has been cruel, but I don't think she's as bad as many here think she is. It seems like most of the women go into this thinking all men think they're superior. With her, the feeling is stronger than the others. I think Chris is similar with his views towards women. Chris probably pushed Honora in a similar way. Shane could take it. Honora couldn't.
  11. I'm rooting for Shane on his own. His partners are condescending. The hammock he built is awesome. Bye Honora. Won't miss you. if you think this will lead to an acting career. Think again. No way any producer or director will want to deal with an unknown who will storm off every time they don't get their way. You do realize Dani wasn't actually sneaking up on Chris and Luke like they showed. Dani might have been able to hide, but there's no way the 2 guys didn't see the film crew. It was all an act. I have a pet tortoise and when I saw what was done to cage the tortoise, I knew it wouldn't work. Tortoises have claws and they're made for digging and shredding. They can dig for hours without stopping. I understand why they kept the tortoise alive to make sure it didn't spoil, but why didn't they at least put it on it's back? If Chris and Luke were smart, they would realize 5 is much better than 2 or 3. You can always keep someone at camp to keep the fire going or make improvements while 4 hunt/gather food and water. 4 people are much better at surrounding and killing large prey than 2. Plus, you get to use the tools from 2 groups.
  12. While I agree that white skin burns more easily, black people do absorb more sunlight than white people. White people do reflect more light. In this regard it really isn't any different than car paint. Not sure if skin color was a factor or not, but white and black people are not exactly the same outside of skin color and hair type. For example, black people are much more susceptible to certain diseases. The converse is also true.
  13. It seems like every episode starts out with the guy suggesting we make camp here. The women agrees and then accuses the guy of being bossy. I found the episode entertaining. I never knew about a vote or contest to pick the survivors. Good thing they only had to do 14 days. I don't think they could have lasted another day. I think the problem they were having starting a fire was for some unknown reason, they were trying to start the fire in a hole. A hole isn't the same as a pit surrounded with lose rocks. Air needs to flow in from the sides. I think bringing fishing wire only makes sense if you're near a place to actually fish. Even then I question if it make sense over say a pot to boil water in or a machete.
  14. It looks like in the future episodes, the teams group together into one big team. In theory, it should work better since they only have to maintain one fire, can hunt more effectively as a group, feel safer, share what they brought, etc... . I wonder if they'll splinter back into smaller groups. I would setup shop near running water. Honora is ridiculously bad. I agree she acts like a 6 year old. Not sure what will happen with her. Maybe they'll take a vote and banish her. Maybe she'll be on probation. Either way, I think no one will trust her and it will eat away at her. I don't see how she can be salvaged. Hakim had stomach cramps which may not have been caused by dehydration. Maybe that's why the other 2 weren't as negatively effected. Maybe black people react differently. Not sure if the turtle (I think it was really a tortoise) was protected, Shane said he would eat it if he found it later.
