  1. Jamahl's items were usually the ones I would most want to eat, but his were also usually lacking in the looks department. If he had a bakery near me, I would probably gain 20 pounds. Regarding the one with the monkeys bears having a tea party on top of a short tower - I thought the tower was supposed to be a tree stump, but the outside of it was green. So confusing ... I thought the llama looked like a polar bear. They could drop all the twists and I would not miss them. Apparently, FN has learned nothing from the popularity of the Great British Baking Show.
  2. Echoing others - Caroline sucks! In real life, either Wade or Caroline, likely both, would have said "We met in a grief support group," and that would have been the end of it.
  3. My recording cut off just after Amy answered the phone. Can someone please tell me what happened after that?
  4. I am bad with names, but I have no trouble telling the female bakers apart ... The short one with the round face and dark hair The one with round face and dark hair, who isn't tall The short, dark-haired one with the round face The round-faced, short one with dark hair The one with the dark hair and a round face who is kind of short And the dark-haired, round-faced, short one who may or may not wear glasses all the time.
  5. I wish it were Carla and Alex every season. I am not an Anne fan. Anne annoys me. She seems to be trying to make the contestants more nervous than they already are.
  6. Bear in mind that, at some companies, only getting the highest rating matters - For example, on a scale from 1-5, with 5 being the highest, giving someone a 4 counts the same as giving them a 1. They get rated based on the percentage of surveys that they got the highest number on, instead of getting an average of all the surveys. It makes no sense to me - if you are only going to count the highest option, then why give options? But this is how it works for a friend of mine. I have asked a few customer service reps, and some have said the same thing, it has to be the highest number to count. I was impressed by the man pushing the shopping cart less than a foot ahead of the oncoming flood, oblivious to the fact that he was being followed by gallons of water. That was timed perfectly.
  7. It also wouldn't make sense that she stopped seeing her Dad when she was 10 but kept in touch with the step-sister that she didn't like. Perhaps her mother had another daughter, before or after she had Gina.
  8. He doesn't have to, since Mina can now fly solo. I was hoping that possibly losing the ability to perform surgery and spending some time in the the place he sent patients to make his record look good, would have been enough comeuppance. But I guess Cain has to Cain. I don't know where they are going with Cain - unless he learns some humility, he will never work in a public hospital - there is not enough money in it. I thought there was a chance that , since he can't perform surgeries, he was going to end up the new CEO. I am really glad that didn't happen. Maybe he is leaving the show and they want to add more stress to Mina's life before his contract is up. I agree that the stepson is being too extreme. He never gives Bell a chance to explain anything. And I put some of the blame on the husband - he was the one who jumped to the conclusion that Bell wanted advice on getting close to the stepson and he told Bell that he is on Bell's side. Either the husband misrepresented the encounter or the stepson needs anger management classes. It doesn't make sense (not that I expect this show to make sense) that the stepson would even consider working at Chastain. They have already told us that public hospitals are not the place to make money. They enticed him by saying he would be able to do things besides nose-jobs, but, if he is as good as they say, then he could some place where he doesn't jsut do nose jobs and he doesn't have to see Bell. Do we know how long Bell and the mom were together?
  9. Amy comes back for the wedding. Jonah and Amy talk awkwardly. Amy leaves for the airport. Jonah realizes that he needs to tell Amy he loves her before she goes back to California. He goes to the airport, with Glenn and Dina, but doesn't find her. He calls her cell, begging her "Don't get on the plane" Then he goes back to the store, heartbroken. As he sits there on a couch in housewares, Amy walks over and says, "I didn't get on the plane." And the writers will think that is original because it happened in a store, not in a NYC apartment.
  10. When we find out that Mark is so anxious about Covid, my first thought was "Well, maybe if his family could wear their masks correctly, he wouldn't be so worried about it."
  11. At the beginning of the episode, I thought "They sure are turning Denise into a stereotype!" nice to see that was the point - the office was expecting her to be a stereotype. I think they are trying to explain where Rainbow's daughter Diane gets her creepiness from.
  12. "Turn your salad bowl into a Super Bowl" (points to the ring)
  13. To anyone watching this show on Discovery+ .... Is it worth adding yet another streaming network to my monthly credit card bill?
  14. I don't like what they have done with Ben. The way he competed with Dan when they were fixing the basement, then quitting instacart to do a podcast, now competing with Dan again in the hardware store. I wonder if the writers are headed somewhere with this or if they just forgot that they did a very similar storyline earlier this season. I am glad I am not the only who thought the hardware store being in Lanford made no sense. If it is part of a chain of stores, it should have come up in conversation when Ben's mother was visiting. They should have had it be Ben's uncle's store, then they wouldn't need to worry about continuity. Maybe the bike shop is being run by Jackie's son who also doesn't exist anymore.
  15. I really liked this episode, but I thought Malcolm was a jerk. First he breaks Marty's robot (the kids would have loved the robot) then he gets all huffy because Marty was more popular. I am glad Marty ended up "winning" and I am glad they worked it out, but I am getting tired of sitcoms making nerds the brunt of the jokes and making it seem like bullying a nerd is cool or harmless. It was a nice change from what most shows would have done. And it means that we won't have the obligatory scenes with Tina nagging Calvin about his eating habits. I am guessing their motive for this episode was to convince reluctant men to go to the doctor. A lot of people echo Calvin in that they don't go to the doctor because they are afraid that the doctor will find something wrong. By having Calvin be healthy, they were reinforcing the idea that there is nothing to be afraid of.
  16. Two weeks ago, the daughters were upset because it felt like Shannon was taking their mom's place. Last week, Shannon was getting nervous because things were moving too fast and they both got squicked out because someone thought they were married. This week, he wants to ask her to move in and she admits that she would have said yes. Was there supposed to be a few months since the last episode? Even that would not have made sense, given that the daughters hadn't met Bert until this episode. Even though I think the timeline was off, I agree. The break-up made sense. I really appreciate that they had Shannon and Wade discuss that he planned to ask her to move in and didn't go with the usually TV trope of keeping one partner in the dark
  17. Given how much time Junior spends just hanging around the house, saying stupid things, and not doing anything constructive, it may be a lot more than "recreational use."
  18. I am happy that Dina didn't believe the conspiracy theories. She would have done a lot more damage than Marcus, Sandra and Glenn did. I hoped the open relationship would be largely forgotten, but it looks like they are going to keep bringing it up. I have found nothing funny about any of that storyline.
  19. My problem with Shannon is that everything about the character seems very forced.
  20. Thank you for posting this! You went above and beyond - I was just hoping someone could clue me in enough that I would know whether it was worth searching for (or putting up with "on demand") - but you saved the day.
  21. The DVR cut off right as Harris comes to the table. What happened?
  22. They don't even have the background characters wearing masks properly. Everyone had it on their chin.
