  1. I wonder what social issue "looking for his wedding ring" will tie into - or maybe Max will only be looking for his wedding ring without trying to save the world. That would be a welcome change. Then again, how long will the hospital board keep max around when he spends so much time doing things that aren't his job. My prediction for the serious life change Iggy is contemplating - stop being a psychiatrist and become a oncologist so he can hang out in the ER with the other oncologist and the surgeon (Yeah, that isn't really my prediction. I actually don't have one because I don't care much about Iggy anymore).
  2. Sharpe has apparently cured everyone in NY of cancer because she spends her work hours hanging out in the ER or trying to convince Max that he is doing something stupid. The guy who plays Martin is a really good actor. I didn't catch the 911 hint (I did think at one point that Iggy was hallucinating), but I could tell by the look on Martin's face that he knew Iggy was in danger. Why was Iggy so upset about lying to Chance when his own life was in danger, yet it didn't seem to bother him to lie to two other recent patients that weren't a threat to his life? He lied to the pregnant woman, telling her it was constipation (?) and he lied to the mom who couldn't recognize her son by telling her the son was dead. The only patient he hasn't lied to recently was psychopath girl. If they are going to go with something as dumb as "Max has to give people vaccines in 4 hours but he insists on only giving it to certain people," they should had it be a number of shots that would be possible for Max to find people and inject them in 4 hours - like maybe 200 doses, instead of 1,000. Max would have had to give 250 shots an hour (over 4 shots a minute!) if he already had people lined up - but he didn't have people lined up (not the ones he wanted anyway), he still had to notify people that shots were available. At best, he would have only had a couple of hours. The super vaccine site near me gave 500 hots an hour on their best days but they had way more stations set up them NA did. I now just watch the show to make fun of it. Although, I have thought that if they got rid of Max and had Iggy just treat psychiatric patients instead of giving him a new disorder every week, this show might be okay. This episode Max realizes his attempts to save the world often do more harm than good and Iggy realizes that he isn't a good psychiatrist, so maybe they will both be more realistic next season.
  3. Sharpe broke up with Cassian because she couldn't handle dating this calm guy and taking care of her almost-adult niece. It defies all logic for her to get involved with someone as manic as Max (of course, this show defies logic multiple times each episode). And why would it be running through the pipes? Almost everyone of the main characters over-reacts: Sharpe breaks up with he boyfriend because her niece will be staying with her, Bloom wants to break up with her girlfriend because she is too nice when she is happy, Floyd's mother needs to be watched over 24/7 because she couldn't fill an injection needle the very first time she tried, and Max, well Max has taken over-reacting to a whole different level. Then there is Iggy - he under-reacts so much that when an unstable man is stalking him and his family, he just wants to make sure his stalker gets his hat back.
  4. True, but the only reason for having this storyline was to reinforce that global warming will make the situation worse. Lauren tries to break up with Leyla because Leyla make her too happy. Sharpe broke up with her boyfriend because her 16 year old niece was going to live with her. I am guessing the none of the writers have had a relationship that lasted longer than a few weeks.
  5. I am a few episodes behind, so maybe things have improved, but I keep getting the feeling that the people in charge of this show are trying to turn it into a comedy.
  6. I hope the people in charge of this show read these forums.
  7. The guy who got to finish baking in another kitchen got lucky because he ended up gaining time. Once the power came back on, he already had stuff baked.
  8. Works for me. Get an actor with the same coloring but a few extra pounds and blame the weight gain on the anti-rejection medication.
  9. Next season (the eighth) will be the last one for Black-ish according to Rotten Tomatoes
  10. Sure, the premise of the show appeared to be a guy named Drew who needed a kidney transplant and how his donor affected his life, encouraging him to be "B Positive." But the premise could have also been about a woman named Gina with a "B Positive" outlook whose life is changed after she agrees to be a kidney donor. And if they go with the second premise then a second season with everyone except Drew totally works.
  11. I agree that Darlene would be better off without Ben, but Ben would also be better off without Darlene. She cheated on him before and now she was planning to go on a trip with a guy. She may say it would be platonic. She might have actually believed it would be platonic. But it was unlikely that it would actually be platonic. At best, it would be an emotional affair. Or the fact that the gift was just plane tickets. There was never any discussion about the cost of the hotel and food and transportation and activities. Yet, they can't afford a tutor or test prep for Mark.
  12. I liked their musical number, but I couldn't figure out why they put that scene in the show. I thought maybe they were going to have their drinks get switched, Gina drinks alcohol, relapses, and then the transplant is put on hold - which would be a ridiculous plot on many levels. Fortunately, it appears they just wanted to show of some of the cast's musical talents. And ... Yay Cannoli!
  13. Also weird that the character who is a therapist acts impulsively and is so judgmental.
  14. The Jiggy woman is impressive because she was able to sell something, that has been around for decades, like it was a new thing. She took something (jigsaw puzzles) that has been around for decades, encouraged something (gluing the puzzle so it become artwork) that has also been around for decades, and made a bunch of money. Next, she will probably promote a piece of felt to transport your in-process puzzle (another thing that has been around for decades) and make money on that too.
  15. I don't think Darlene would have named her son Mark if the older Mark was still alive at the time. Perhaps Mark's death had something to do with David's breakdown. I know a guy who was valedictorian of his high school and had to take a remedial math course in college before he started his freshman year.
  16. Did they ever give an explanation why Riley lives in the garage instead of the house? I am guessing it is supposed to be a 3 bedroom house with grandpa in one, sister in another, and the third is for when Hazel is visiting. It just seems odd that Riley came back home and didn't move into his old room.
  17. If the inventors see your post, they are going to add a mini roll of paper towels to the side of the bottle. Eventually, that portable hand washing station is going to need wheels to cart it around. I don't know for sure, but think the point of advisory shares is that they don't figure into the valuation - the sharks can get the shares they want and the entrepreneur doesn't have to lower their valuation.
  18. I like that she responded to his "romantic jester" by saying they should throw "caush" into the wind. Nice callback to the earlier scene.
  19. I thought about The Waltons, but the original post specified sitcoms and I didn't think The Waltons qualified. I didn't consider Eight is Enough or Seventh Heaven for the same reason - technically not sitcoms. Although, Seventh Heaven was often unintentionally funny and Eight is enough had humor mixed in (I also lost count of how many they had in the same house).
  20. Did Cody ever live in the house? I thought he lived in a van in the driveway. Yes, I did. Full House now leads with 11. However, I think we should limit including pets to dogs and cats, just in case some sitcom had a large fish tank or an ant farm in it.
  21. I was thinking the same thing. Which got me thinking way too much about this .... The Connors' peak was 8 - Dan, Becky and baby, Darlene plus two kids and boyfriend, and DJ's daughter who is shown so rarely it isn't worth looking up her name. I suppose we could go to 9, if we include Dan's girlfriend, who was sleeping there a lot. Full House's peak was 9 - Danny and 3 daughters, Jessie plus wife and twins, and Joey. But Brady Bunch peaked at 10 - Alice, Mike, Carol, 6 original kids, and cousin Oliver. I can't think of a sitcom that had more than 10 characters in the same house.
  22. Walter didn't seem like the social media type. However, the brothers moved into his house. sso I would think they would occasionally get mail for him and would have his new address so they could send it to him.
  23. Avocado + Salsa = Guacamole Guacamole + Salsa = A messy, watered down guacamole wannabe If you want a dip that is that heavy on the salsa and light on the avocado, it would be better to add chunks of avocado to a bowl of salsa. Junior's "recipe" makes as much sense as adding a can of chicken broth to a can of chicken noodle soup.
  24. I knew someone who made her own guacamole by mashing up avocados and mixing in salsa. It was very tasty. When I watched the episode, I thought - "He mixes salsa and guacamole? Isn't that redundant?" So I looked up guacamole recipes and they basically say to mash avocados and ad tomatoes, onions, garlic, cilantro and some sort of pepper - which are the typical ingredients in salsa.
  25. Maybe she is staying with Jackie's son Andy.
