  1. It has to go both ways though. If you think that race played a role in Anthony Hopkins winning (it might have, but probably didn't), then you have to acknowledge that race would've played a bigger role had Chadwick won (arguably bigger than it was with how it actually played out. @Racj82 said it best; It's a shame that certain people are making a deserving win by Anthony Hopkins a race controversy (and a further subset are attacking Hopkins directly). (And to answer an earlier question you posed @PepSinger, yes, you're an idiot if you believe that the Academy deliberately chose the white actor over the black one; just be grateful that a deserving performance won in the end.)
  2. FTFY; you're not a firefighter, so you can say quiet 😁 Bringing this up reminds of S1, when Mills brought up the quietness of a shift, and without fail, 81 was called to the accident that Voight's son caused. Had he not done so, there'd be no #OneChicago. The takeaway? Sometimes it's best to say quiet.

It's okay to admit that you were wrong on this prediction; we'll forgive you 😁
  4. Disagree. You save the civilians 100% of the time. You don't become a firefighter to save your colleagues; you become one to serve and protect the public. And regrading the bolded, a true firefighter would respect you for saving lives regardless of who they are (or at least I'd hope so because if not, then I'd be glad to sacrifice them for a civilian lol)
  5. Wow. It seems as if Dragon's Den can't keep their Dragons to save their lives. As it is, I concur with those who say that this should be the opportunity to get a 2nd female dragon to take the open seat. Now this might be an impossible dream...but what if Dragon's Den went for Daymond from Shark Tank, and give him Vikram's (or maybe David's) seat? My rationale is simply this: he appears to be the odd man out more often than not on Shark Tank lately and maybe the allure of a seat in the Den that'd be his and his alone might be compelling. Plus, we gave Shark Tank Robert and Mr. Wonderful, so they "owe us" (and there's no way in hell that I personally want Marc Cuban anyway near Dragon's Den).
  6. For anyone who's interested, here's the extended version of the mat chat between Nat/Meg and Suhki/Jinder: http://www.ctv.ca/TheAmazingRaceCanada/video.aspx?vid=435484 I think everyone involved comes out better when viewing this than with what was actually aired last night.
  7. If you can say that you wouldn't be cheesed off at a team that you'd think would've been eliminated and quite frankly, should've already been eliminated, even if said team hasn't been a direct threat to you, then you're probably less competitive than the average person, which is why I'd be more likely to react like Team Nutmeg. And like others have implied, I didn't get the sense that there was any "whining" at the mat. What I'm chalking it up to is frustration from a.) falling into last place at Confederation House and b.) finishing 2nd to the team that attempted to wrong you. Nutmeg reacted rationally given the circumstances & at least they honestly answered Jon's question to the sib's faces. If anything, Suhki/Jinder were acting like sore winners with the "you're just mad cause you're in 2nd" line. They need to remember that they won their 1st leg after using the FF, and that they only beat Team Dude and Team Nutmeg by, IIRC, less than 40 minutes. That suddenly doesn't make them the favorites to win. If anything, they're the team that deserves to be in the final 4 the least. All that said, it was a great leg that captured the spirit of PEI better than they captured the spirit of Montreal. Alain/Audrey will be remembered fondly & I wish them nothing but the best in their marriage.
  8. With next week's visit to New Brunswick, TAR: Canada will have visited every province/territory in just 2 seasons. Maybe this means that they'll do an all international route in season 3. So with the knowledge that this route will likely not happen except for in my head, here's a "dream route" based off of some of Air Canada's current locations & a route that I'd want to race: Montreal- Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN (start with 11 teams, end with 10) Twin Cities- Havana, Cuba (start with 10, end with 9) Havana- Cayo Coco, Cuba (start with 9, NEL #1) Cayo Coco- London, UK(start with 9, end with 8) London- Liverpool, UK (start with 8, end with 7) Liverpool- Zurich, Switzerland (start with 7, NEL #2) Zurich- Istanbul, Turkey (start with 7, end with 6) Istanbul- Seoul, South Korea (start with 6, end with 5) Seoul- Sydney, Australia (start with 5, end with 4) Sydney- Buenos Aires, Argentina (start with 4, NEL #3) Buenos Aires- San Francisco, CA (start with 4, end with 3) San Francisco- Edmonton (final leg)
