  1. All one needs is a good food tracking app ( or pen and paper), 30 minutes or more of cardio and strength training, reduced stress and more sleep. I read an article that reducing stress and getting more sleep is super beneficial for weight loss.
  2. I have three people in my life that have very different respiratory health issues so I decided to try my hand at the Hustle Up the Hancock. Thankfully it's not until the end of February, but I'm starting my training now. I'm in decent shape but I'm more worried endurance.
  3. My mom wants to know who won today? They're airing today's show at 2am in Chicago..
  4. Sounds like a stronger you. I just started to up my weights in my Body Works/ Power Circuit class again. I have no regrets. Side note I hate winter, and it has made me want to EAT everything in sight.
  5. I have a pair of New Balance shoes that I only wear at the gym, it's a training shoe (Fuel Core Agility). It's light weight and flexible, and easy on the wallet.
  6. I'm not much of a runner there's a lot of things I never thought I could do. 1) Turkish Get Up 2) Full plank push ups 3) Getting up the stairs without using the handrail. 4) High intense Cardio without getting super winded. I should say that I lost 75 pounds officially! I really respect 5K and Marathon runners and Spartan Athletes.
  7. I started my weight loss journey 7 years ago or so, I lost weight (YAY!) but it gained it back over the years. Two years ago I joined Planet Fitness, it was fair. The trainer was good but had other clients to work with. I stopped going because work was busy and I was tired and the drive stunk. I walked into LA Fitness February 2017 and I've kept it up. A Year and a half later I'm 70 pounds lighter. I work with a fabulous trainer I go to classes regularly. I track everything, I don't get upset when I creep up. It's really hard, but I needed to be selfish and take care of my health. I had great numbers when it comes to cholesterol and diabetes, my only issue was high blood pressure. My own BP has gone down with the aid of medicine and everything that I have done for myself. I follow a great group on Facebook called Girls Gone Strong and the sub group GGS Strong Women Lift Each Other Up.
  8. I've been working out at the gym consistently for over a year, I'm way more active than I used to be. I was over 200 pounds, I work with a trainer and attend a few classes track my food intake. I've cut down on all the bad carbs it's not hard. I also have high blood pressure I'm on medicine to control it. My last Dr. appointment it went down a lot. If I can do it so can Twitney. I also wear a Fitbit, I just upgraded from an ALTA HR to the Versa.
  9. Spurgeon Elliot Seewald Oh my, an unfortunate name for an unfortunate child. Cute baby.
