  1. Agree -- good on Emily for passing the bar on her first try. I am perplexed by Vicki's behavior on the Reunions. First, let me say that I appreciate what she has always brought to the table -- stellar work ethic, Midwestern vibe, slapstick humor, long history as a housewife. She's also a good mom to Brianna and Michael. But for the life of me, I cannot understand why she is hanging on to Housewife status when she can easily and gracefully pivot to her next stage of life. In April, she will turn 58 and marry a nice guy while keeping her solid insurance business running. Her children and grandchildren are healthy and in a good place. She's already made a lot of money as a housewife for the past 14 years. Isn't it just time to move on and enjoy the fruits of your labors? It could NOT be that much fun being an OC housewife. After all, how many fake catfights, manufactured drama, tedious girlfriend trips, Woo-Hoo cocktail hours, bad plastic surgery and excursions so the South Coast Plaza can one actually take? Victoria Denise Gunvalson -- it is time for a new decade for you, sister. Ring in the new year with a wonderful new life and don't look back.
  2. I think Kelly went to either Arizona State or University of Arizona -- either way, I am pretty sure she went to college. This is not a popular opinion but I feel badly for Vicki because this show means so much to her and she clearly self-identifies as the OG of the OC. I only wish she would take a page from the Ramona (RHNY) or Luann (RHNY) playbook. Luann got demoted to "friend of" from "Housewife" but came roaring back with a killer storyline and the ability to go toe-to-toe with Bethenny -- a place where angels fear to read. Ramona accepted that she as no longer an Alpha Housewife but remained relevant by being her kooky, unique, opulent self. I am not saying that Ramona or LuAnn are heroes but they managed to keep their apple by entertaining the audience. Vicki needs to know that her OG seniority and longevity don't guarantee an orange. She needs to entertain the audience and not be so self serving (selling the insurance), conning people (Brooks BS) and being a little homophobic and unkind. Vicki is at her best when bringing the slapstick humor and old school/midwestern work ethic vibe. She has a really good side when she chooses it show it. One more thing: can we please knock if off with the age shaming. Yes, Kelly, you are better looking than Vicki but you are 20 years younger than she is -- so of course you are more attractive. Don't get me wrong -- I like Kelly and Emily. But ladies, for whom the bell tolls and menopause and aging are right around the corner for both of you. So have a little empathy. Aging is the great equalizer for us all.
  3. I am pissed that I missed this episode and it is not on On Demand. Boo! I really want to see it. I LOVE this show and really want it to return. The cast is very engaging and the storylines are entertaining and funny.
  4. WalnutQueen, I am so sorry about your cats and hope you feel better. IslandGal, I agree with you about Previously TV and this wonderful board! It is even better than TWOP. I was overjoyed to see you, ScoobieDoobs, LabLover, Persnickety and a bunch of my other favorite posters here! And then we have a host of new fabulous posters now too like Charming, Imajagain, MotorCity and others. Really love reading everyone's posts and viewpoints. Sorry guys but Tamra is awful beyond belief but you know she will be back. Girlfriend will sell her very soul to the Devil to stay on this show -- it is her largest source of income and she ain't giving up on that. She is such a cheeseball but she brings the drama, makes the wisecracks, gets vulgar and sucks up to Andy -- she ain't goin' nowhere so we might as well get used to it. People may call Vicki a hypocrite but she is much kinder and more compassionate that Tamra -- Vicki is the only one that did not rip Alexis to shreds last season while those other hyenas have blood on their paws. Vicki seems to genuinely like both Heather and Shannon too. Of course, we have to wait to see what happens next season -- it never stays "Kum-bay-yah" in RHOC land. The minute Heather gets a real legitimate TV gig she will say "hasta la vista" to this show. She is so nouveau riche with the ginormous house, carport and all of her pretensions. A person who has been wealthy since birth like Shannon sees right through her crap and calls her on it --which must be painful beyond belief. Funny but Heather and Shannon are more alike that they are different though. I could see them being friends in real life. Tamra and Eddie were NEVER going to have kids -- come on! She would not ruin her prized figure for a fifth child nor would she want to put her prize boy, Eddie, through the rigors of parenthood. Simon must be laughing his ass off at her phony machinations. Funny that Jeana Keough stuck up for her when Simon threatened to haul her back into court to discuss custody arrangements. I never thought those two would make peace but good for Jeana for showing kindness. I remember seeing the videos of Tamra's audition for RHOC and she called Jeana "fat and middle-aged" as though those were the two worst qualities anyone could ever have. Tamra is a gross pig.
  5. Happy Birthday Elder Price! I am horrified that Tamra is a fellow Virgo. I am a proud, card-carrying Virgo (my birthday is tomorrow) so it incenses me that foul, vulgar, two-faced Tamra could possibly be one of us. Virgos are known for their kindness, modesty and loyalty. I believe Camille Grammar and Adrienne Maloof (both former RHBH housewives) are also Virgos -- they all have birthdays this week too. Boo!
  6. Lizzie is really beautiful -- she has great skin, beautiful eyes, full natural lips and a nice smile. I really enjoyed her on RHOC and thought she was one of the nicer ones. I also think her husband is incredibly hot. Good for her for moving beyond RHOC. Tamra is SO jealous of her.
  7. I love how Shannon admitted in that interview that she watched all of the Housewives shows across every franchise and had watched RHOC from the very beginning. So many new housewives come on these shows claiming that they never watched any of the programs. And every time, I think "oh bitch please! You are lying!"
  8. Count me in -- I love this show and really want it to return! Totally agree that Susanna looked way too orange at the dinner -- LOL. I wasn't surprised that beautiful Shelley won the beauty contest -- she was a shoo-in from the beginning. Weird that her husband did not attend it but that only made Shelley look even better -- someone who is independent and down-to-earth. She does not need an entourage of fans attending a non-event, two-bit pageant that no one cares about. I love that Shelley's kids look like real kids and not little girt pageant contestants too. Sapphire, you are so right about Lynne owning the dinner with her cool, calm, collected demeanor. It made me feel a little bit sorry for Leha. They really need to have a reunion for this show.
  9. That woman is Rose Byrne and she is in her 30s. Still, you are right -- she has a drop dead gorgeous face. Heather is pretty but not as pretty as Rose. As lovely as Heather is, Girlfriend has Grinch Face. Every time she comes on the TV screen, my husband sings "You're a mean one. Mrs. DuBrow..." to the tune of "You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch" -- the song sung by Boris Karloff from the beloved holiday cartoon.
  10. David is handsome and likable but his skin is the color of Silly Putty and his eyes bulge out like Barbara Bush's. Wonder if he has Graves Disease (thyroid condition) like she had? Still, he's one of the best husbands across the franchise, squeaky voice and all. If only Miss Terry's late brother were still alive -- would be funny to see a visit from Quiet Riot heavy metal lead singer Kevin on the show. Imagine him (a notorious womanizer/coke head) hanging out with Fancy Pants?
  11. I agree with the poster who named Shannon as the MVP of the season. Her storyline really engaged me whether it was manufactured or not. OC is getting old -- what are we on the 8th or 9th season by now? Shannon and David were a breath of fresh air and their problems seemed real -- you know, marriage troubles, alcohol use, depression -- these are things that people can easily relate to rather than the same boring, freeze-dried manufactured cat fights that the Housewives are known for. I also like someone coming on the show who can give Heather a run for her money. Everyone else is afraid if Heather -- even Tamra and Vicki. They seem very intimidated by her even as they gently mock "miss fancy pants." See, I think Shannon has almost as much money and better taste than fancy pants plus she's a lot more likable because she is willing to show vulnerability and human flaws. Fancy Pants always has to be Miss Perfect -- you know, the richest, prettiest, smartest, skinniest girl in class who married a wealthy doctor who worships the ground she walks on. Barf. Don't get me wrong -- Shannon can be hella annoying (I hated the way she nagged David earlier in the season) but overall I really dig her. And Iove that she's a little nutty with the New Age hobbies and crystals. She's more like a real person with good and bad qualities. Unlike the others who are really more like cartoon characters at this point. One thing I can say for sure: I don's miss Gretchen and Slade.
  12. I think Donn earned very penny of that check too And I say that as an ardent Vicki fan. Vicki is NOT an easy person to live with or be around for an extended period of time. Hence the great joy everyone felt when a football hit her head while she has cruising on Lake Havasu (also known as Lake Have A Screw). God I miss the old seasons of yesteryear!
  13. Regarding the history of Vicki and Donn and their current situation -- they did not meet at Home Depot. They actually met many years ago in Wisconsin. Vicki married Michael Wolfsmith (father of Michael and Brianna) in Wisconsin when she was very young -- like 20 years old. She went to work for a manufacturing company as a secretary where Donn was an executive. She was 23 or 24 years old and worked as Donn's secretary and eventually had an affair with him while they were both married. Donn was married too and they both left their respective spouses to be together. Several years later, they moved to Southern California and that is when Donn went to work at Home Depot. By then Vicki was established in her insurance business. Now, I've always liked Donn and thought he and Vicki were a good match. But a few years ago, while Donn and Vicki were still married. Radar Online reported that Donn used to visit a swinger's club (S&M was involved) and there were photos of him there. And, while he was at Home Depot, one of his former female employees filed a sexual harassment suit against him. Now, the suit could be complete bullshit as people file phony suits all the time just to make money. I've always been a fan of Vicki -- despite her ups and downs, tendency to make racist/homophobic comments and all-around self-centered behavior. But at the end of the day, she is always true to herself and never acts like a phony baloney for the TV cameras. Another poster made a very astute comment stating that Vicki and Joe Guidice are the two most real and genuine people across the entire franchise and I totally agree with that. Vicki is a typical "me first" Aries -- she's an attention hog who needs constant love and validation from others. She gets agitated if someone outshines her. But I gotta love her midwestern vibe (the only housewife you ever see in the kitchen actually making a meal from scratch) which makes her very down-to-earth and genuine. And girlfriend never changes her persona -- she's always crazy, high-strung, me-first, work-obsessed, hyper-controlling Vicki who always seems ready to screech "family van" at a moment's notice. She's given me so many hilarious housewife moments so for me, she will always be the Original Gangster of the OC.
  14. Vicki's hair and makeup looked lovely. I loved the color of her dress but not the huge plunging neckline - ugh. Loved the color of Tamra's dress -- too bad she's a vicious little troll. Someone should tell her that she looks OLDER when she gives those mean dirty looks to people or wrinkles her bunny rabbit Botox nose in distaste. I still like Heather but feel she made a wrong move in ganging up on the Beadors. The Heather and Tamra Ecosystem -- which I call HATE for short because that's what it spells out -- is not good for anyone -- not for them, the show or the audience. The HATE dynamic is a toxic mix of vulgar meanness and shameless elitism just pretending to be so self-righteous by bullying anyone who gets in their way. Run, Heather, run. Look at what happened to Gretchen once she accepted Tamra's fake offer of friendship. I am glad Eddie did not go the Reunion. He deserves better.
  15. I agree that Shelly is gorgeous but she has had a nose job. If you see photos of her from her teen-age pageant days, she does not have the same nose. Regardless, she is definitely the most beautiful, elegant, intelligent and articulate of the bunch. I also like Lori-Ann too -- I like her spunk and attitude. My husband (he hates this show but I force him to watch it) has nicknames for the cast which are: Vanassa is "Pocahontas" for obvious reasons (I do love her though -- she really brings the drama, flappy ass and all) Suzanne is either "Morticia Adams" or "Lily Munster" Shelly is "Betty Draper" because she is the perfect suburban ice-queen housewife Leha is "Me-Ha" because everything is about her Lori Ann is either "Lori Man" or "Short Arms" (my husband thinks she has unusually short arms. I think she's adorable) Lynne's nicknames we got from this wonderful board -- love My Little Pony and Smurfette I LOVE this show and could watch it for days on end. Please Bravo -- bring this show back for another season!
