Glenn having such a high impact death in the comics at the hands of Negan is part of why his possible/probable death now is so upsetting. If he doesn't die then, Daryl, Carol, or Michonne are at high risk. If he does miraculously survive, I have no illusions that Glenn will be around beyond next season.

I sure hope it is a fake out but it doesn't look good. First time I have ever yelled No! At the screen. If Glenn is dead, it does show once and for all that the show has mostly thrown comic book canon out the window.

That was a great episode overall, but one thing made me kind of angry. The show just casually killed off Holly, a character who has pretty much done nothing on the show but had a somewhat significant part in the comics, especially in Abraham's story. What the heck was the point of introducing her to do nothing with her?

For all its faults, when I watch The Walking Dead I always think that Rick's group is the most interesting bunch around. I have never thought that any group they meet would be better protagonists. With this show, I often think that almost any perspective besides that of the main cast would be more compelling and revealing. A focus on the soldiers or police or government? Sure! A zombie show starring doctors and nurses? Yes, please. But the crew we are stuck with can only hint at the actual drama unfolding. If the show couldn't afford to really film an urban zombie apocalypse, there were lots of other scenarios they could have chosen.

I think Morgan could make it a bit longer than in the comics because the writers know fans like him and don't want another black guy dying soon. But Lennie James might not want a long-term commitment, so who knows? I hope they will pair him with Michonne like in the comics. I am a little surprised they went with the Wolves as an original threat instead of the Saviors. I guess the writers want to avoid a Game of Thrones scenario where they catch up to comics continuity and delay Negan further.

I feel like the Siberian episode imposed too many modern gender ideals upon Boris, the cat father. No amount of shaming or putting kittens in front of him is going to make a cat father take parenting seriously. Nature has made them deadbeat dads.
