  1. I knew that Matty Roth wasn’t going to be the main character, but not in it at all? Weird.
  2. I’ve seen him a few times while running in the morning (I think he lives in my neighborhood). He is definitely shorter than me.
  3. If HBO were to replace Bill with a Max Brooks panel discussion show, would that be so bad?
  4. I’ve always hated Q as a character, so this season is going to be a slog.
  5. Max Brooks was awesome as always. I honestly enjoyed this episode, but the cringe was still palpable. I guess we’re forever stuck with his yelling about “Woke,” and his other obligatory, old man bit “I was driving past some of them there young people…and they were wearing MASKS! What in tarnation?!”
  6. Who was watching Dom’s kid?
  7. I saw (among others) a successful, college educated business owner with the best critical thinking skill I had ever met fall into a Q-hole. Obviously, I don’t have the same respect for his intellect anymore, but I used to.
  8. So we started off with a great interview with Kenneth Branagh, that had the message of understanding people who are different from you. Cool. Then (on the panel) that message quickly got twisted into “These woke motherfuckers have to go,” and “Why don’t we just appease Putin?” OK, I get it: understanding is only for one side. Thanks, Bill. Your show is still awful.

    The Batman (2022)

The ending was like 1973 movie Walking Tall: it just wouldn’t end. Every time I thought we got to a natural conclusion in that final hour, something else would happen. Aside from that, I really loved this movie, and I’d pay to see more of this Batman.
  10. Not as bad as the last five episodes, but Bill’s still a fucking moron where it counts. “Is Putin as bad as Hitler?” Well, Bill, do we really want to find out? You know he has hella nukes, right? Full disclosure: I skipped the monologue, his interlude bits, and his new rules (because he’s never funny).
  11. Why did the American Ambassador become a Kingsman? Or was it a situation where he just went off later, and started Statesman?
  12. I say this as a regular viewer since 2003: Real Time is a fucking mess. I’ve never enjoyed Bill’s comedy, but he at least used to have cool panels with interesting discussions. Watching his dipshit Libertarian side take over in the last 2 years (which was ALWAYS there, don’t let anyone say otherwise) is next level cringe…and he was already cringe. Now he’s cringe AND puts on a bad show.
  13. It’s a shame that the Snyderverse doesn’t have a Green Arrow.
  14. Yeah, but one doesn’t go out of their way to get a Nazi flag if they’re not into it. Add to that mix a Holocaust denying spokesman by the name of Jeremy McKenzie, and the presence of Proud Boys & Sons Of Odin, and it’s easy to see that Bill’s being willfully obtuse.
  15. If I could get Bill to answer one question about last night, it would be: “How many Nazi flags at a protest is an acceptable amount, and at what number does it become unacceptable?”
  16. Bill continues to walk his new path, and his guests are Ricky Williams, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Marianne Williamson.
  17. This video is NOT Star Wars related, but it does address some of the problems BOBF had in general (and it’s only seven minutes). Everything was “And then…” or working backwards clumsily.
  18. I’d be cool with a one-hour extra of Grogu sitting in front of Luke trying to decide. No, actually scratch that. It would just make me mad, because I’d think the showrunners were trolling us.
  19. Here’s the question I asked myself after watching the finale: ”Would you have enjoyed this if it were a Dark Horse comic book?” No, I wouldn’t have. If I had seen this story as a comic book, I would have felt ripped off, and that feeling’s even worse when I factor in that I spend money every month for a Disney+ subscription, and this is what I got back. Get your shit together, Disney!
  20. I have felt a great disturbance in the Force…as if millions of viewers were underwhelmed at the same time.
  21. I’ll be very disappointed if Gideon’s behind it, and not because I like the character. I’ll be disappointed because it’ll render all of last season’s growth moot.
  22. Eli is the Band-Aid that needs to be ripped off eventually. I love the character, but the kids need to work this shit out. What’s worrying to me is why Gideon’s not getting a lot screen time? It seems like a no-brainer to have the best biker in the family handle some Tron-looking motherfuckers.
