I know others will disagree, but I truly think that Kelli keeps girls longer than we expect is to give them every chance. Paula, Alexandra, Khali F, Kalissa.... I really do not think it’s for drama or ratings. She has said that with enough time, most of the final girls cut could eventually get there. I think she does try to give them that time.

IMHO which is worth less than a penny, the only way a vet gets cut for bitching about VK is if it was ala Chelsea and done in front of the cameras or there was a direct verbal assault that could not be ignored. There is no way you are going to convince me that the sisterhood of DCC is so strong that when you put 45 women together, they get along without any sniping or undercutting. That would be the biggest statistical anomaly I ever heard of. Whether it be friendship circles, sororities, or family, no group of females adore each other unconditionally. They may work together well, but in quiet conversations, truth will be revealed. And I cannot see girls being released because they don’t love every one of their teammates I like Tara. But if she was called in multiple times, more went on than what is speculated. Maybe weight, maybe outdanced, maybe a combo of several things.

IMHO. Vk looks much younger and softer in the IG pix when she’s not trying to be DCC. On MTT and in rehearsal shots, she is far less attractive. The picture of her with the sundae is one of the best I’ve seen and allows me to see her as a potential DCC. I realize she’s influenced by her overly make-upped mother but she should lose the clown make up. That picture makes her seem more soft and fresh (to use a Kelli term).

I have no insider info, but I thought Kindall blew off a mentoring session with Melissa and Megan C scolded her for it....which if true, isn’t terrible on Megan’s part. I can see her letting Kindall know it was a stupid move.

I actually hadn’t thought of it that way... that would be an insurance liability. Wasnt there a girl girl in season 1 or 2 that was told to meet with Jay to lose weight...and she didn’t? If your boss/director gives you a specific plan to follow and you don’t, that’s just foolish. Given VKs age, if true, her immaturity is showing. This is a good learning experience for her. They did it for one more year. Jackie was the fan vote but not the judge’s pick for TC. Then it went away which I found hypocritical. The point of the fan vote was to get someone into TC that fans wanted there, someone maybe the judges did not select. And when that is what happened, TPTB shut it down.

I loved Kaitlyn Johnson too! I wished she and Zoe came back. Zoe was a great performer. I also loved Megan S9 (I never thought there was anything wrong with her body dimensions) and Courtney S10.

Iirc Kinzie had a decent spot her rookie year. Abigail was so gorgeous I can see why they put her on the side. They seem to like tall blondes In that part of the “bouquet”.

She cried constantly but in a whiny way. She had an excuse for everything, including forgetting to breathe when she was winded. I think what turned me off is that she appeared to me IMHO to feel entitled because she tried out for 5 years. She’s not the only one. Bigskygirl: You are right. It was her solo Kitty liked. I think I was under the impression she had been in classes with her.

I think Kaime may have had a chance if she didn’t start 4 weeks late. I have no clue how she could have thought she could learn everything. IIRC, Kitty thought she was a good dancer. Emily in S7 should not have made the team I’m going to be in the minority, but I think Kindall never should have made it in the first year

This. All of it. I also think after some of the team drama and “attrition” and the loss of some strong mature women on the squad, Kelli and Judy may appreciate Brennan’s mettle. She clearly sees this as the dream, not a launchpad. And to many she is beautiful and well trained. It’s the mind game with her. I’m pulling for her. I personally find her less whiny than Auto Amy and Christine.

CMT needs to change up their questions. Trying to force these young ladies to come up with a struggle they had to overcome is like fitting a round peg in a square hole. Not every intro package had to have identical info. Some girls may have more to say about how they became interested in dance or what they want to do with their lives. Comparing the background of Paris to the UCLA girl was mortifying and it isn’t Daphne’s fault. Same with having Kelli explain the obvious like the board system. IT IS A WHITE BOARD WITH NUMBERS. WE GET IT. I would have loved more insight on why some girls did and did not make it. Or getting impressions of some of the girls from other judges like Marshal or anyoneexceptNeil.

I have no idea if I’m correct, but if I am, I wish Kelli would explain it a little more so it doesn’t seem so mind numbingly obvious. Her system was even mocked on The Soup I have always assumed that the simplified yes/no/maybe system was a simplified rubric. When we grade Regents exams for the state, we have a 3 number rubric score. It actually gets frustrating when you view an essay in terms of numbers when you are struggling between a 1 or 2, or a 2 or 3. Our curriculum director gave us a cheat: if the student met all requirements it was a 3; some was 2; confused was 1. It sounds SO stupid, but it it helped. Then the numbers were applied and added up. I have assumed that each YNM gets a number and that the young women who are grabbing the score sheets are doing the arithmetic after each group. So when Kelli makes comments about where a girl’s numbers fall, it reflects more than how many yeses someone received.

In the opening video they show the judges before prelims, is that Melissa or Amy Mo at point? It does not look like Kashara. And I love that Nick Flores looks like he wants to freestyle with them.

Regarding the number of auditon candidates....girls are wearing numbers in the high 300s. The board goes up to #406. But then there are giant gaps. On the board from 74 to 101. 128 then 201. 226 then 301. 373-406. Weird.

My conspiracy theory, cynical brain has always wondered if Alexandria really left because she didn’t like the MTT comments she heard about herself. I know I’m wrong, but her reaction to criticism made me wonder if she became indignant and decided to say, screw it.

Moving along on itunes, I just finished watching Season 8's semi finals and I noticed something REALLY weird. I get that often the editing monkeys put things in different orders or they will show a reaction to something that happened three nights before to what Kelli is saying at the moment on screen. HOWEVER, they were discussing Katherine Elaine (D) and saying she couldn't dance, etc. BUT the picture Kelli was holding up as the discussion was taking place was Jennifer Katheryne - but with blonde hair. I am SO confused. If anyone can watch it, can you please tell me what the heck I'm seeing! Season 6 had a large number of rookies because of a mass retirement of veterans. I don't think a vet was even cut in auditions (although Kaitlin LeGrande was cut during TCC). Is this season's vet numbers lower than 6?

Watching old seasons in anticipation of the new one. I don’t understand why season 6 on Amazon cuts out so many scenes. They actually skip rehearsals and go straight to evaluations in the office. But the full segment is there on ITunes. Makes no sense. Kelli did say she wanted a team of 40 in season 6 at least twice...but said I won’t take 40 if they aren’t ready. There have been so many seasons with vanishing girls. Season 6 was another. Rebecca disappeared even though she was there for most of training camp. Middlemom: I agree Lauren and Emma were great but got no attention. Neither did Kinzie, Samantha (except during solos ). Amelia was never even mentioned. I don’t think.

It was different when Nicole Hamilton was point, but I don’t know the year of the change. I HATED the music for the old pregame signature. Thunderstruck is getting old, but it fits well as an arena anthem with Cowboys video playing as the girls dance.

Natalie Woods, Melissa (s10 powerhouse), Hannah, Selina, Alex Hermes, Ann Lux eventually made the team. katherine d, Kelly Popcorn, Emily, Tessa, Karissa, Marie...never made the team.
