  1. kids made fun of my name right up through high school.  I always hated my name (still don't like it, but I'm 40 now and don't have the energy to fuss about it anymore) and there is a whole level of guilt involved with resenting your name when you are named after your dead grandmother.

Do we know WHY the Dillards got blocked by Instagram?  It's so weird.

  2. Taking flowers to celebrate an event like that isn't a sign that he's obviously trying to get in her pants.  It's something a friend might do.  Roses are OTT, but opening a restaurant is a big deal, and giving her flowers at the event isn't strange.  But... some guys can deal with a male friend of their spouse bringing them flowers and some can't, so not something I would do.

  3. With all the "my daughter" stuff, the dad kinda gets left in the dust.  I get it, he's been dead for years, and so has the girls' sister, but it almost seems like they might have forgotten.

As for Silas not knowing anything.  He was suspected of poisoning Nina and I believe that her parents went to court and got a restraining order to keep him away.  So, he had no access to Nina or her medical decisions for all of those years.  He was so suspected that Nathan came to town (having changed his name) just to prove that Silas had tried to kill his sister for her inheritance.  And I think that Silas' affair with Ava was part of the reason (or most of it honestly) that he was suspected.... and of course Madeline was shifting suspicion away from herself.

  4. I believe that, if the situation was different, Esme would have done the same thing to any of the three.  That is, if Cam was with Trina, she'd have drugged Joss and taped Cam Trina, and if Joss and Trina were together and Cam was the one that Spencer was making eyes at (let me live in this for just a second...... okay) then she would have drugged Cam and taped Joss and Trina having the smex.

  5. The main difference between Jinger and Jill isn't their beliefs (which I think are basically in line with what their husbands believe, or not important enough to them to disagree publicly) but how they present themselves to the world.  Jinger has always come across snotty and a little entitled, and her SM persona only kicked that up a notch.  Jill has always seemed a bit sweet and clueless and her SM has basically shown her grow up as time goes by.  Now these are only SM personas, but we don't know these women in real life so that's all we have to go by.

I guess Kamala's parents let her leave the country while school was still in session.

I was surprised that the school was still open after they trashed the joint.

Bruno should be a bit more worried after his home and business was destroyed. Maybe he doesn't care since he is leaving town anyway. But, still, his poor Aunt, what will she do when she returns.

I'm gonna assume that with all the bad press DoDC paid out the ass for blowing up that building.

Although I like how that jackass Deever tried to play it off like it was Kamran's fault that it blew up.  No dude, y'all did that and everyone knows it.

  7. that would be interesting.  instead of the "computer finds the perfect match" that it's meant to be, Spin is cyber stalking the members and matching them up based on what he finds and how he thinks they would get along.  That would, indeed, piss people the fuck off.

One thing I'm still confused about (I finally caught on about Una) is how Admiral Pike knew that Spock was essential for bringing peace with the Romulans. I guess those Klingon monks/Timekeepers would know - but how? Are they aware of various timelines and deviations? Are they the Time Bureau (RIP Legends)? I can only deal with timeline preserving agencies if they make me laugh but otherwise I've developed a deep dislike for such plots. Of course DISCO is to blame for that one too.

I wonder why the Watchers never cared for Spock. 'Nevermind about him - those Klingon time freaks have him already listed.'

i believe that this is an example from his own personal timeline, showing what could happen.  I think there were probably previous goes where this situation worked out appropriately and shit went wrong differently later.  And again, using someone very important to Pike to make a point about how things could be worse.

  9. To be fair... Pike is making a judgement of causality, but it might just be correlation.  We only have Admiral Pike's POV on the situation, and his biases.  Spock is very important to him personally, so his death happening in every change made may have artificially inflated significance for him.

  10. Now I want to ask my father in law if he ever considered sending my husband to jury duty in his place (they had the same name).  It's a bold move just going in and pretending to be 20 odd years older than you are and doing this very public facing fraud.  Cause it is fraud and that guy needs to be prosecuted for it, no matter what the outcome of this mistrial thing is.

  11. See, and I assumed that there had already been some dimensional cross fertilization and that's why they look like the people of the area where they crossed over.  Like the portal in Shang Chi or Iron Fist.
