  1. Wow, on a scale of 0 to Scarface, how coked up was Thomas on this episode? Holy crap. When he suddenly lost it and tried to jump out the window to escape from Kathryn (a sentiment I don't disagree with), the mania was far more than a normal anger response. Far more. That was some scary stuff. And that was before the dinner party fiasco. Honestly, they hung around far longer than I would have before the golf cart departure. Maybe waiting for the cart to be brought around? Cooper's frantic attempts to contain the crazy were kind of hilarious though.
  2. Rocky/Raquel reminds me soooo much of Virginia Madsen, especially circa Sideways. Uncanny.
  3. LOL at Wee-wald! I was thinking "The Blessa-ing" in honor of the most-used word in the Duggar vocab. Or is that precious?
  4. She used to go by Amy Jordyn. I seem to think (coincidentally or not) that she went to using Duggar right about the time that Jordyn-Grace Duggar was born. Here's a treat for you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oG1M8PdvqW0 If I have the story straight, and I may not: her Dad's last name is Jordan, Mom is of course Duggar. She grew up as Amy Jordan (although changed it to Jordyn I guess for her career) but now goes by Duggar for reasons that aren't clear to me. I'm sure it's not famewhoring. ;) I haven't stopped laughing at this for like 5 minutes. Agreed, mimionthebeach.
  5. Okay, I have officially thought about this too much. I know it's long been the Duggar way to "buy used and save the difference," as Anna and Priscilla gleefully were doing in the used clothing store. I'm curious though, how literal is that? Do they say okay, we bought 10 girl's shirts, which would be $100 new (just to throw out a round number) -- but we got these for $1 each so we saved $90? And then put that in savings? Or is it just the more general idea that by buying used, we are able to save more money? I seriously want to know if there is actual math involved here but can't remember if they've ever gone into detail. I suppose it could be some built-in lessons for the STDRT if they do.
  6. Nah, there are pictures of Jana at the Indiana State Fair (and that farm, I think) with Anna and Josh, and Anna and Josh and kids are wearing the same clothes in those pictures that they are in the show footage. Nope, Jana was there and they cut her out. Probably why all 3 car seats were lined up on one bench seat in the RV - I'm sure Jana was sitting on the other side, behind Josh.
  7. Ha ha so we weren't alone with the Mr. Burns resemblance on the Nova Scotia ep. Mr. Drew and I kept wiggling our fingers and saying "exxxcelent" every time he was on screen. And yes he and Tonya definitely have a sugar daddy situation or something of that type, it seemed too obvious. It kills me though to see AM giving free stuff to someone like this, who is just cheap but clearly has money. It seems like the fact that the guy owns 3 other properties could have been found with some basic background investigation/recon. I wonder how much of that the show actually does..?
  8. Of all of the things I can let slide....there are 2 I can't. One, JB making sure there was a chaperone on the wedding day while the couple prayed together and called his very, very ill mother. Days later I am still dumbfounded by that. That one tops saying Hola! in Nepal, it tops MeChelle's thumbprint between the lovebirds (I know she didn't actually do it)....it was beyond. Just beyond. The other thing is Cathy looked lovely and I can't for a minute criticize what she wore. She looked totally appropriate, especially given that dress shopping has probably not been anywhere near her priorities (nor should it have been.) Navy actually looked very nice on her, and peach or mint or anything like that would have washed her out and made her look more ill.
  9. I also noticed that everyone was fixated on Jill and Derick having kids immediately, but I realized two things: one, she got pregnant riiiiiiiight after the wedding -- and the TH's were shot after the wedding, so the family probably already knew she was pregnant at that point and wanted to be just oh so precious and coy thinking they look like they "called it." Two, this family is all about breeding so it's the first thing they all think of. Just once though, I wish someone would say "yay that they are married! I really hope they take some time together to travel/learn/have a hobby before they start a family." Never gonna happen. It would be interesting to see if the baby baby baby talk is the same around Jessa's wedding.
  10. http://www.usmagazine.com/entertainment/news/below-decks-amy-plans-to-confess-her-feelings-to-eddie-in-finale-20142810 Interesting, Amy and Eddie? Also what, I thought last week was the finale?
  11. Ah, the Eddie fans are coming out of the woodwork! Count me in. I have no idea why anyone would look twice at Kelley, not with Eddie on board. I'd be all about that. And I also like the early Brandon Walsh longish bangs, sun-bleached....yes please. More Eddie. Kate plunged in my respect rankings this week, and she wasn't that high to begin with. What a B she was to Amy. The font thing though was awesome, I totally judge Comic Sans people too, ha ha. She would be fun as like a neighbor or something, someone you don't work with (or especially for) but see here and there, good for a laugh and snarkiness, but no one I'd want too close in my life.
  12. Weird. There are watches and music now for sale, I think it's that band that played at their family celebration commitment plant your roots fiesta. Wow is that joowry overpriced! Holy crap. The site name that appears at the top of the page, like on the little "tab" (above the web address, I don't know what that's called) says "MY SITERWIFES CLOSET." Basic, basic proofreading, folks!
  13. I actually thought the song was very sweet, I liked it....but it was special to them only, and I have no idea why anyone would want to buy it on iTunes. I would feel kind of dirty about sharing something so personal with the consumer public if I were Jill or Derick, but then nothing is sacred to that family except front hugs.
