  1. Lord John tells her at the party in Jamaica. Then, when they get back to where they're staying, Jamie tells Claire before she says anything and before he knows she knows. I did like him telling her basically right away in the show.
  2. Since I was expecting this episode to end with the bell and see the faint in episode 6, I really did laugh watching it by myself around 1 am Sunday. I got the whole Sandy thing, but I didn't like seeing it. This seems to be the start of people saying shitty things to Claire and she only fights back or defends herself sometimes. Like later in Voyager when Marsali keeps calling her a whore, I don't want Claire to freak out on a 15 year old or anything, but she could point out she's not a whore, don't call her that, and remind her she was married to Jamie first or something. I don't know it just bugs me. I like Marsali and all and she comes around later, but Claire just sits there and takes it. That's what the Sandy scene reminded me of. I know there are other examples too, but I've most recently re-read Voyager and Drums of Autumn so that's what I'm remembering now. I think I had more to say about the episode, but now that I'm finally posting, it seems to have slipped away...
  3. Ah, yes. I wondered if that might be the case. If they go past season 4, this might give them more of a set schedule and probably a longer break for the actors. I'm super curious about some of the casting coming up!
  4. It started Saturday or Sunday! Some of the producers and actors mentioned it on Twitter.
  5. It said of Broch Tuarach next to his name. I'm glad they changed the Geneva scene. I was dreading it a little if they were keeping it the same, but then I had heard they would change it up a little so I figured they would make it less controversial. It's better for it. I liked Isobel and I'm glad she got a little bit more in show. I don't love or hate Bree and Roger, but hopefully it just gets better with them when they get actual story lines. I just don't care I guess or it's all cheese with them.
  6. To me, Sophie seems to do better with the angry Bree stuff, but she gets some not great lines. I think the dialogue for her is bad sometimes and don't really blame her for that. Like last year's "I like watching history being made" or whatever. Cheese. In the clip, she seemed to have a harder time with the false exuberance and reverting to youth, "What's wrong, mama?" But in general, I don't mind her, so hopefully does fine with next season.
  7. Yeah, I just re-read Drums of Autumns the past 2 weeks, finished up on Sunday. Otherwise, I wouldn't have all those details. She does something to upset the robber (that i can't recall now) and that's why he decides to take the rings. It goes from her standing up to a bully to trying to save both her rings basically. "A boot to the hindquarters is what that one needs!"
  8. The guy tries to steal both of Claire's rings and after she takes them off she tries to swallow them so they can't have them. The guy digs in her mouth and gets one of the rings while the other is sort of stuck in her throat. The guys leave after stealing one ring, jewels, and other things. Jamie makes her take some drink to make her throw up. It is then that is revealed she still has Jamie's ring. She tries to save both, not just Frank's so I'm sure it will be in the show.
  9. I still haven't decided how I feel about the Murtaugh change. I'll see how I feel after it all plays out I guess. Regarding Lord John's hair: sometimes it looked lighter, especially his last scene. So who knows what color wig he even has. An even lighter color would have been nice though. I didn't want to see more Frank, but it seems crazy how fast they blew through all of those years of Frank and Claire. I figured he'd die in the 4th episode. Oh well I guess.
  10. He's David Berry, an Australian actor. I haven't seen it, but I've seen him get praise for an Australian show called A Place to Call Home. The only other thing I seen him in is an episode of Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries. He seems to have only done (or mostly done) Australian shows before this. I saw an article recently that said he almost turned down Lord John Grey because his wife was due to give birth soon, but his mother-in-law encouraged him to take it. He made it home in time for the birth too! Years. Last episode said 1752 in Scotland and this one said 1755. So it's been about 10 years since Culloden, 6-7 years in a cave and 3-4 years in prison. Yea, I heard being shipped to the colonies. I can't remember if they said American colonies. (I watched at 11 pm, so I was a bit sleepy)
  11. So, even though I knew nothing happened to baby Young Ian, I still was having M*A*S*H flashbacks something terrible. "You made me do this. I'll never ever forgive you for this!!" So sad. ? I wonder will have any repercussions for Jenny/Lallybroch turning Jamie in instead of a group set up with some neighbors. But probably, it'll never be brought up again.

    It (2017)

Beverly's hair is a plot point in the movie. She has long hair before she has short hair.
  13. Yep, that's who I was thinking of too.
  14. Yeah, book 5 is by far my least favorite. I had heard that was true from other people I know who read these books. So, I just had to power through it and I wouldn't let myself put it down and read something else. 2nd least favorite is the 7th book I think. If you can get through it, I think books 6 and 8 are pretty good and book 7 has a bit that impacts later books. It's been awhile since I've read it, but I wonder if you would miss much if you just tried with book 6 and continued on from there? I don't know. I can think of 1 thing that happens in book 5 to a character that really affects them going forward, but that's all I can come up with right now.
  15. It's 13 episodes. Yeah, it seems like the reunion is in episode 6 or 7. People were making that guess based on some filming spoilers and other things the cast has said. At one point Cait said they filmed episode 8 early to accommodate filming schedules of some cast (and it seemed like episode 8 was when they're back in LallyBroch.) and that when they filming episodes 6 and 7, she and Sam would be together for the rest of the season filming from that point.
  16. I ended up watching the trailer the first time with 2 co-workers and they both questioned the capture scene too. Like others said, I figured Jamie and Jenny set it up so she would "turn him in" and get the reward money/ get on England's good side. It looked like Jamie was just making a big show for the soldiers of being Hello! I am home! I haven't been living in a cave near by or anything not at all! So same idea as the book, but slightly different execution. They also grumbled a bit about all the Frank, but I said it's not like they'd show us anything with Claire and Jamie. I was surprised we even got her walking up the print shop! Teases! :) I wish we could watch it now.
  17. Yes, both Outlander and Game of Thrones were ineligible this go around because they didn't air early enough to be considered. I think the cut off was sometime in May. So both of their seasons fall into next year's consideration time.
  18. She said Anchorage is now the capital of what is left of the United States. She said the flag that flies over that city has 2 stars on it. So I figured that meant something like Alaska and Hawaii were still the US and Gilead took over the continental US.
  19. I've read the book a few times and I still had massive knots in my stomach the last 3 hours. I still feel like vomit. It's crazy how premonitiant this book from 1985 feels. Fake a terrorist attack, take over, freeze women out. Done. And the terrible scenes in the book are even harder to watch for me. The ceremony? Vomit!! FGM too. Oh man. I think this is a really good adaptation so far though.
  20. I've read the whole series, well all of the main books anyway. The beginning of Outlander was a little slow for me too, so you might get into it more later. On the other hand, a few people really don't like the books at all. It might not be your thing or maybe it will get better for you. Hard to say.
  21. The interview I saw, Cait said they had already filmed episode 8, but are now filming episodes 6 and 7 and will be filming together the rest of the season. So from other info and pics, it sounds like Lallybroch is episode 8 and the print shop is either episode 6 or 7.
  22. I did too! Haha! ASP also kept Lane and Zack's twins. Pretty sure that was season 7. It just seems to me ASP kept some things she wanted and ignored the rest. It doesn't shock me Logan could end up this way, season 7 or not. He just seemed like an ass to me.
  23. We have a Geneva and an Isobel.....
