  1. Reading Remini's book led me to Scobee's book and HOLY SHIT if they convey even a third of what that lady endured it will be enough of a shit-show to hook lookey-loos (ME) and a good enough happy ending to maybe coax some people out of Scientology for good.
  2. He is a monster. I mean she's not blameless, true but that's straight up cruel for the sake of being cruel. He's gross.
  3. I cannot fathom why anyone would go to jail on purpose. I know most reality shows have contracts that require you to sign your rights to basically your life away however I can't imagine signing that contract for the privilege of going to JAIL. That said, if Robert was low-key looking to be a reality show villain, he nailed it.
  4. I agree with everyone who has said they have largely squandered their time since Carly was born however I also have a lot of sympathy for them because they have no idea how to be parents. They romanticized the could-have-beens with Carly without ever spending much thought on the reality of parenting especially an infant. No guys, she isn't ''high maintenance'' or hyper (for the love), she's a completely dependent person you intentionally brought into the world. I felt so sad for Cate when she was literally laying across a couch on Tyler wrapped in a blanket in therapy unable to express ''I don't know what to do because nobody, including this barnacle (Tyler), has ever taken care of me or put me first, so how am I supposed to know how to cope when it's ALL on me''? I hope she really does get help especially if they intend to have more kids.
  5. I generally hold Dr. Phil (or sorry, Dah-turr Feel as Nancy Grace says) and Nancy Grace in the same low regard but I admit his dismissal of her put him a few points ahead. The kind who was reprimanded several times for withholding evidence and ethical violations. Hard to believe, I know! I mean you would think a person who has lied directly about the circumstance (and her involvement) of her fiancee's death would hold themselves to a higher standard but turns out, NOPE.
  6. Becoming a CNA takes approximately 6 weeks and the pay is generally barely above minimum wage. I feel like I missed something at the beginning (the first several minutes were cut off) explaining how she (Blaire) was paying for the hotel she was living in; was it explained at all?
  7. Same, I don't know what I was expecting however it was a terrific surprise to find such a charming, engaging and witty person.
  8. Lydia didn't have a miscarriage; she had a son who was born alive and died shortly thereafter.
  9. My dad wasn't an old school NY'er (Mississippi'er) and he called pretty much everyone male or female Babe, not in a gross paternalistic way, that's just the way he talked. To be honest, I didn't even pick up on the detective saying it until I read these comments however given that they made a point of using a male name, I think it was a reveal just super nuanced. And what do you think Soooooooooooooooooondra thinks about Alvin being sent to the rubber room?
  10. Nothing will make me Team Dean. He cheated on his first wife and left her with a brand new baby (three weeks old) they were in the process of adopting. First wife had to begin adoption process all over as a single parent. Tori knew this and to feign shock that being with kids full time isn't so much his thing is guh-ross. She wasn't a teenager then, it was less than a decade ago; she wasn't a mother yet but she was a person WITH PARENTS who lives in the world. Since bailing on a kid didn't make her reconsider his ability to be depended on long term, she sincerely has no right to complain now (especially as she stays with him, waiting for some elusive someone's permission to leave). I caught a repeat of one of the earlier versions of this show a few weeks ago and they were planning LIAM's first birthday party; Dean is about eight years late on being a crybaby pee pants about his ''career''.
  11. I am just another voice in the chorus but that book, omgaaaaaaaaaaaah THAT BOOK! So good, so creepy, so detailed, SO GOOD!
  12. Women can never be just strictly competent; Maggie can run the control room as long as Sloane defends herself with her dating history, Hailee's integrity is questioned and Mackenzie derps around about Will paying for the wedding and buying a new dress.
  13. Yes I am a little surprised at the reaction to her calling Noah her son; would it somehow be more palatable if she referred to him as foster son? She has all the responsibility of a parent and like you said adoption is the end-game, it is the natural progression especially in a foster to adopt situation. I have five kids none of whom I am biologically related to and seeing, ''her son'' in quotes leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Other than that, Carisi sounded more Stabler-like than ever in this episode; I don't know if it's his natural cadence or he is binge watching on USA but this is the first episode I really picked up on it.
  14. Cop mom or no (though that does add a thick layer of WTF), I don't know any teenagers currently or recently (my oldest is 20) who had that level of coming/going/sneaking in make-out partners. None of that rings even slightly true. As for the other credibility issues, the best speculation I have read is that the dad (HATE) arranged/planned the kidnapping with Lori in order to write a book about it; Lori went sideways and decided to keep Carter forever.
