That ending might have worked for me. Especially if the final moment was Cheryl's realization that instead of her dream life with Ted she's stuck with Larry again, as he's soaping her back, and the defeated anguished look on her face as it goes to black and...DA DA DUM...

We just finished binging seasons 8-12 and wrapped up the finale only four days after it aired. RIP Richard Lewis. The final episode was a good solid episode. I wouldn't say it was amazing but the courtroom scene was funnier than the Seinfeld courtroom scene, and Susie definitely elevated it, as well as Leon's aunt when they both totally went off. The last bit with Jerry at the jail was a nice spin on the Seinfeld final scene, and having all of them bickering on the plane back home was a good way to close. Because that's what everyone does on Curb.

I don't know what JKR said about the Holocaust yesterday and I don't care. My original post is a year old lol. I'm not going to get into a trans debate. She didn't attack anyone's rights, she gave an opinion. I didn't defend her at all lol. As far as feelings go, just because you're offended doesn't make you right. If you don't like her opinions, why do you look up what she's saying? This is a classic example of why social media should not exist.

Wow, I wrote that a whole year ago. But no, nothing cringe. You can agree or disagree with Rowling, but she isn't fighting against people's rights, only stating her opinion. Most trans activists can't handle it when people don't agree with their whole agenda. I do agree she spends too much time on that topic when she could be doing something more constructive, though.

It's up to people to stop watching the show. Just because TLC keeps producing it doesn't mean you have to watch it. Enough is enough. I'm not watching it even if the whole season occurs before this tragedy.

I'm hoping that Janelle and Christine do the right thing and leave the show. With just Kodvid, Sobbyn, and Merry left, viewers will leave in droves and the ratings will tank. Surely TLC will recognize this.

It's horrible and I hope this show ends and they never bring that tragedy to the screen. Too much damage has been done.

Tasha had a bad week. She tanked the technical and had all sorts of problems getting her showstopper done on time, needing Dan's help to finish it. She seemed to struggle with pastry. It's a shame she (as well as her interpreter!) have to go. The three remaining guys are all good and it's easy to root for any of them. They're very pleasant.

General shout-out that I think Alison has been a terrific replacement for Matt. I also see that they have toned down the comedy back to Mel and Sue level from the zaniness of when it was Matt and Noel, and the show is better for it.

The train wreck technical was hilarious to watch, but when every baker colossally fails like that, you have to figure the problem was with the challenge itself. Paul and Prue should have given better instructions. They know that with pudding, if it doesn't set then it will be a complete mess. Not a fan of bombes. They fall into the "why does this dessert exist?" category, similar to cakes that have jello molds on top. I will miss Saku. She reminds me a lot of one of the programmers on my team at work. :D

I thought Pru and Paul missed the mark a little bit when judging Cristy's showstopper. She commented that things are supposed to be a little askew because it's Wonka, and I could see how she misshaped the candy canes to make them appear Wonkaesque. There were other parts she could have tightened up, though.

I was pulling for the Civil War guys (yeah that's what I called Joel and Garret all season!), and they would have won if they hadn't transposed those two kayaks. But I was fine with whoever won because I liked all three teams. I thought the edit on Rob and Corey was horrible. They were in first place at the beginning of the scramble, and while Dad had some trouble on the trapeze, it looked like he made it by the fifth or sixth try. Meanwhile, Greg and John had all kinds of trouble with glass blowing and were definitively in third place after grunge bands. So for Rob and Corey to drop into third place, either they were a lot slower on the trapeze than I thought, or they were very slow on the glass blowing (but they heavily edited their glass blowing and only showed them needing a second demo). I thought the finish felt weird. Why did they make the final leg at night? Then the final mat was in some little park that looked like an office park with the building in the background, dark night and poorly lit so you couldn't really see anything beyond the mat itself. So many seasons have either ended at some iconic location or at least at a place that felt grand, a stadium or a place with some scenery. You couldn't even hardly see the other racers when in past finishes you got a good look at all of them. This race felt like it ended in someone's backyard. Come on location team, you can do better than this!

I was saying the same thing when they first started focusing on him. Third Rock!

Was it? I wasn't clear on that. I thought all three were still in play and they just shuffled the lights. But maybe you heard something I didn't.

Yes, rock/paper/scissors was so unoriginal. When they showed the floor layout I thought there would be a game similar to the final game of the original series. The final game is supposed to be something that is memorable and brings the season to a showstopping conclusion. They may as well have flipped a coin.

I watched five minutes of this. I already know what the ex-wives are going to say and I know Kodvid will never be accountable for anything. And that's how the five minutes went. No need to spend an hour.

This whole season was very uneven for me. The pacing felt off. They would surge forward with the main plot, then meander around. With Nathan and Norma in the real world, they were spending more time there than in Lakeview. It gave me Westworld flashbacks. The whole theme of a corporation having ownership of a human being like they were a piece of intellectual property is Orwellian and a great topic that has been explored in different ways with the advent of AI. But it's a topic that might be a little too heavy for this show, and better served in a serious science fiction drama. This season had its moments, and some very funny ones, but wasn't quite up to the first two for me. I hope they get picked up again, though, as this would be a terrible cliffhanger for the show to end on.

The carnival was obviously staged. Rent a hall, bring in a band and some dancers, and a bunch of locals to act as partygoers. Malaina and Andrea failed spectacularly. When Phil showed up at the carnival place to meet them it was still light out. It made me think of the times when one team was left in the dust but finished their remaining tasks and made it to the mat late at night with Phil still waiting.

Now Janelle has a new apartment. Has anyone counted all the different places they have all lived in over the years? That would be an interesting statistic. Another would be how many family meetings have they had sitting in folding chairs and on park benches in the woods?

Ed and Liz, a marriage made in Hell. Angela and Mikul, the only relationship that works because he only has to see her on his phone. "I still have those divorce papers." Which she will promptly file once it's confirmed that there will be no more TLC gigs. "I will never see another stripper again. Unless you're there. I made a reservation at an exclusive strip club for tomorrow." Asuelo doing the happy dance at the after party when he realized he can stop crying and update his Tinder account.

At this point the only reason I watch this train wreck is to listen to Yara pronounce "streepers."

This show has officially reached background noise status for me. I read the description which tells me everything I need to know. Then I check my phone or have a snack while I occasionally glance at the TV. Mykelti's having babies! Truly still can't ride a bicycle! Kody says his relationship with his kids isn't the same anymore! Meri says she and Kody don't love each other! On to the next episode.

Well, everything gets resolved when this show finally ends and these people have to make hard choices when the TLC money runs out. No more property roulette. And the baseball game was better than this crap.

"I can build you a Tuff Shed, Meri. It's the smaller place you want and you can use our bathroom!" So Kody basically wants Meri and Janelle to stick around because if all three leave him then Robyn will be mad at him. "TLC...ahem...I got us reservations at the most exclusive restaurant in Arizona!" "But Kody is mapping out a future for Meri, so there's still hope. And if not, we still need a house cleaner."

Methinks Martin and Short will team up and write the actual Broadway play, Death Rattle Dazzle, of course starring Streep, Rudd, and Broderick!
