  1. I also didn't love this one. I hate that Zoey's bad dreams were briefly mentioned and then dropped. I think it would have been an interesting plot to follow for more than one ep. In general, there were too many storyline threads to follow. The family stuff anchored everything in season one, but now the family scenes are somewhat tedious. I'm not looking forward to Zoey and the hot neighbor either. The more she floats from person to person, the less likable she is at times. Shoutout to Simon's performance of Juice though. That was my favorite and so fun to watch.
  2. I stumbled across this show on Peacock over the weekend and watched all 14 available episodes. My dad has lung cancer and I was a crying mess, but I really loved the flow and emotion of season one. Tonight's episode was the first one I've watched live, and I was a bit underwhelmed. There wasn't enough Mo and the work scenes are missing something without Lauren Graham. I would also only rewatch 2 numbers, Hard Knock Life and Say Something, whereas I would rewind all the numbers in previous episodes just for the choreography. In terms of Max and Simon, I like them both but I don't want them running after Zoey all the time. It felt weird to break up Zoey/Max two seconds after they got together. And, I don't really like that Zoey and Simon only seem to relate when they are grieving. I'm wondering what else they have in common and will their connection lessen as their grief becomes less acute. Anyways, I'm happy to have a new show to look forward to even if this episode wasn't the best.
  3. Just came back from a 2D showing. The movie was sold out this weekend, but there were only 4 other people at a 640 Tuesday night showing lol. I really enjoyed it. I listened to the soundtrack in advance so that I would have that singalong feeling. Definitely the right move as I was anticipating which song was next. I will have "Show Yourself" in my head for weeks to come. That was my favorite number. Movie was gorgeous, a bit light on plot. I want to see it again just so I can stare at the costumes.
  4. A long time ago, we used to be friends...but now I kinda hate this show lol. Veronica Mars is ruined for me because happy supposedly equals boring. A Veronica that is not rooted with her family and friends is awful. Won't watch, rewatch, or continue my hulu subscription. So disappointed.
  5. I think episode 3 will end up being my favorite out of this weak final season. That had cool effects and everyone united to defeat the NK. Now, I feel like boxes are just being checked as we race towards the end. I hate that Cersei had such an anticlimactic ending. I hate the repetitive dialogue (Jon called Dany his queen...take a shot). I love the comment on Twitter that said How I Met Your Mother is so grateful it's not going to have the worst finale anymore. Too true.
  6. I liked it a lot. It reminded me of the Lurlene McDaniel books I used to read as a preteen. I wanted more focus of the movie spent on Will/Stella doing their treatments together. The ending was not the best, but the actors were very charming. I would watch this one again, and I can't say that about Fault in Our Stars.
  7. Did Isobel heal Max with nail polish remover? Hope they mention Tabasco at some point. My big takeaway is that I like Max and Liz. Not sure about the rest of the cast. I will keep watching.
  8. This was a thing I watched on a lazy Sunday. I liked the cast a lot, but the heist was so weak. There are a lot more plot twists and turns in a single episode of Prison Break than there are in this entire movie. I actually thought the magnet clasp on the necklace would add some much needed tension, but that conflict was immediately resolved.
  9. I have many tweaks/rewrites/and full seasons that should be burned in a trash heap but the most disappointing aspect of the show for me was the disappearance of Emma's relationship with Snow. Ginny and Jen are friends and had great familial chem onscreen that was completely ignored and often undermined for bizarre plot reasons. Also (if I'm being shallow) Hook and Emma's first time should have been alluded to. Emma didn't pillage and plunder on the first date, but surely by the third...
  10. Not a good, cohesive episode, but this show rarely did that. I always thought the characters would return to the Enchanted Forest during the finale. But, it was nice to see the cast together one last time before they move onto other projects (which many already have).
  11. Hope is so overused as a baby name on tv.
  12. I know the twenty second scene I'll be rewatching from this episode.
  13. Yes, it's really me. It's Maui. Breathe it in...
  14. I will never be on Regina's side. Get her Henry!
  15. Please, have my magic bean. I hid it in my pocket.
  16. I can't believe how many times they've said the word "beignet."
  17. We don't negotiate with villains...barf.
  18. I don't really know what's going on, but I'm here for any glimpses of og Hook, Emma, Snow, and Charming.
  19. Season 11 had some enjoyable moments, but it was a mere wisp of the shadow of a once great show. After everything she has been through, this episode boiled down Scully's existence to "baby incubator." I never wanted M/S to have a kid. I also cringed when Mulder said he's nothing if he's not a father. That's a damn lie and not true to his character at all. Also, SKINNER IS NOT DEAD! LALALALA (needed to be shouted).
  20. There were strong glimmers of old school X-Files, and I liked it a lot. Scully felt like Scully, and Mulder felt like Mulder especially when talking about hellhounds. I had a hard time telling the chief and the cop apart. The mob beating up the sex-offender was uncomfortable to watch. So glad I was too old to watch the teletubbies as they would haunt me in my dreams.
  21. I was so bored. Annoyed they wasted an episode on this. Guess they saved time/money by not writing a proper script.
  22. This one didn't inspire strong emotions. Didn't love or hate it. I also wish they had stuck with the ghouli as the main focus. GA did a great job with the emotional stuff. Dating 2 girls makes William an asshat but he redeemed himself slightly at the end.
  23. I was cracking up throughout. It was great to see Reggie pop up in classic X-Files moments. The bear book was obviously referencing the Berenstain Bears (maybe it's Berenstein in that parallel universe). I can't believe they made jokes about wire tapping and waterboarding and drone strikes. The only part that lost my interest was the scene with Dr. They. That went on too long and felt preachy. Definitely going to watch this one again.
