  1. On Canada time here. I’m now convinced that Stephen will stay forever, just occasionally murdering people and getting away with it. No one knows or cares about a father and son suddenly disappearing? Trying to think of what I like about the show. Hmmmm. I like Daisy and Daniel. Amy, Steve, Tracy. Can’t stand Paul, Summer, Billy, (Paul can murder those three, please and thanks), Gemma (and I used to really enjoy her).
  2. Nicole was the somewhat loud person in a couple of scenes at the reception. Teresa’s trainer. No idea about Chris. I thought the reception dress was ugly. The wedding dress was nice, aside from the veil with the giant letters, something like could have been incorporated in a discreet way that the bride knew about, wait, discreet, what am I saying!), the tiara, and, of course, the hair that had its own zip code.plł
  3. Yeah that was a really bad way to end the Lucille story. It doesn’t fit with her character at all. i guess it’s tough when an actor leaves the show. When Cyril visits Sister Monica Joan, all I could think was would a man really be admitted to the bedside of a nun and left alone with her? I guess he’s a pastor but still, it felt a bit historically wrong to me.
  4. That was very sad about Rosé, the miniature horse. I just can’t warm up to Katie. Sour is the word that comes to mind whenever she’s on screen. Anyone else watching on Slice in Canada and the end was cut off? Annoying.
  5. Oh Cerberus. 😢 Why’d they have to kill him off?
  6. Slice is the Canadian channel which has bought the rights to most or all of the Housewives shows. Still annoyed that we don’t get WWHL though.
  7. I know what you mean about Katie Porter. The first topic Bill brought up, she said nothing. Neither did Piers. It was an odd moment. I forget what it was about.
  8. I enjoyed the show. Piers Morgan was bang on about women’s’ rights and sports. I like Katie Porter usually but she didn’t come off well here. I watched the interview thinking the author looked like an actor, then I realized he is the actor. Pretty impressive. I’m with Bill on the NFTs. It’s because they make no sense. I still don’t understand mining for bitcoin.
  9. I love Shannon! I also loved when someone accused Jennifer of spreading gossip. I forgot who said it about what. Her reply, I’m not spreading gossip, I’m repeating it. Oh, okay, that is totally not the same thing. I wish the cameras had stayed with Paul, his brother and sister-in-law. That might have actually been fun. That castle did look nice.
  10. They really need to have an impartial talking head after these scenes to explain what really happened. An accountant or someone, who can draw us a picture on a whiteboard. If Louie is such a successful businessman, why would he invest $250,000 in a business with no legal agreement and no business plan? Makes no sense. And, as others have said, if the pizza ovens were ordered and paid for and branded, why did it go no further? They probably could have made some money back. I liked when Louie told off Teresa when Margaret came over. She just doesn’t listen to anyone else. He was completely right. At the same time, I also think a husband shouldn’t do that do his wife in public in front of cameras.
  11. I watched episode one although I slept through part of it. I don’t watch SLC or Potomac, so I don’t know half the cast. I’ve started watching Miami, but Marisol is by far my least favourite cast member. And none of it really appealed to me except that incredible house and seeing a bit of Thailand. But yes, the horror that was Heather’s top! It just perplexed me. Why? It was not flattering in any way. I want to know if Pepsi’s real name is Pepsi.
  12. Theresa has clarified that the pyjamas were new and never worn by her dad. And he was trying to get Joe’s approval. It came from a good place. I’ll wait for more context, but it still seems like such a weird thing to say. There’s also a clip from the next show of Theresa saying Louie lost $250,000 by investing in a pizza oven scheme with Joe. It was Joe’s idea but then Louie only wanted to give him 5% ownership and Joe flipped out. Again, it’s a weirdly edited clip (and it’s told by Theresa), so the true story may be totally different. Does Louie really have enough money to do something like that?
  13. I think it’s because Sr Monica Joan is supposed to be slightly away with the the fairies, while the newbie is just an out and out liar because she’s too lazy to ride a bike. I’m shocked that that is Vanessa Redgrave. I thought I’d missed an announcement that she had left the show. I don’t think Mrs Patel was varicose vein lady’s neighbour. I was so angry at how she turned on Lucille after all the care she’d given her. I think it was supposed to show the type of person who is racist but not about you! She thought by saying that, Lucille would be okay with it because it was against an Indian lady? I’m not sure. And of course, it was fine for English to go and move into and colonize all these other countries.
  14. Louie did that thing again. By apologizing to Melissa’s mom, like he’s the good guy stuck in the middle. He did something like that at the guys’ night too. And then saying he wears nono’s pajamas? That is just weird. He’s a bit of an odd duck, that guy. Now I should get back to my arsenal, I mean my book. 🤣 it’s about the history of cigar making in Hawaii.
  15. So, someone mentioned Joe calling his son away when he was chatting with Teresa and kids, but when I watched, that might have been a trick of editing. It shows Joe saying that and then flips back to Teresa, but it’s not clear that was the same scene. I enjoy Margaret, and honestly hadn’t noticed her mouth. Now I need to go back and have a look. Maybe I’m the only one, but I feel a bit bad for Frank. For better or worse, Delores always kept a close relationship with Frank. Now he suddenly feels slightly abandoned. It’s one case, where I can see both sides. As for Jen complaining that Margaret outed Bill’s affair, that is true, of course. But I’d expect any secrets I had to be potentially exposed if I decided to become a real housewife. So, a little bit on you, Jen.
  16. I really enjoyed the interview with David Byrne, I wasn’t up to date on his work. Bill seemed slightly subdued, I think maybe because he’s such a fan. And, I agree, I enjoyed that panel, especially after Russell Brand last week. Why is Overtime on CNN? Aren’t they competing networks?
  17. Canadian cousin checking in. Very kind of you! I’m so tempted but have not looked at any spoilers. At Canadian speed, Nick has just turned Damon into the police and Sam told him to move out. I love Sam, but I thought that was pretty cheeky.
  18. Oh I’m relaxed! I just like chatting about the show and I find the evolution of what can be said in polite company interesting. My parents were born in Liverpool during WW2. So I base my comments on what I experienced with them growing up. We wouldn’t be allowed to say bloody in a casual way like that, but of course, all families are different. My folks were from a working class background and raised us very strictly regarding swearing and language. When my mum swore a time or two in her later years, I was appalled. 😂
  19. I was just thinking this. No show tonight sadness. I don’t have access to the other seasons so can’t do a rewatch. oh, and good point about use of “bloody”. Language has really evolved but that would have been a no-no for most proper families, I believe.
  20. I am in so much agreement with what everyone has posted. I was really looking forward to this episode but there was so much wrong with it. I hated that Mrs. Hall hung out with Tristan and Siegfried during their talk. There was no reason for her to be there. None of her business and she set up the whole party to see Gerald. Poor Gerald, he must have been thinking what the hell? And where was his dog when he came back? Such a cutie. I’m glad we got to see Dash. I did not care for that little girl at all. Too much focus on her and not enough Helen and James. I thought oranges were pretty exotic and desired at Christmas. She seemed so disappointed. Then her very first stocking and she was like, meh. And yeah, hated that Siegfried was ready to have River die or be seriously injured. Why the owner would want an injured horse to race doesn’t make sense. Too much plot contrivance! So Tristan arrived lying on the mail in a train car? I forgot that. I was also wondering why he was lying on bags of mail. Despite all the above, I still love and will miss this show until the next season.
  21. As a little boy, my father was moved out of Liverpool to Wales when the war was starting. He said they were lined up at the train station and they would be chosen by a family. A lot were looking for farm help, and since my dad was scrawny, he wasn’t picked. Finally, an elderly couple in the village took him. His best memory was that each child got a bar of Cadbury chocolate. That was a huge treat. Can you even imagine what that must have been like for his mother. His younger brother had a bad health condition, so my grandmother was allowed to evacuate with him, but they got sent somewhere else. As for inter-racial couples, I can only tell you that my parents had an inter-faith marriage. Catholic and Anglican. My dad had to pledge to raise any children as Catholics. I feel like an inter racial marriage would have been a big deal. I’m so sad that there’s only one more episode left. I loved Mrs Hall doting on Dash and Siegfried realizing that she needed the dog. And I love what a fine, upstanding person James is.
  22. “I’d kill her twice, just to be sure.” Haha, too funny. (sorry, bad quoting)
  23. Izzy! Right, thank you. I always enjoyed her character, I’m glad to hear she’s returning. That’s fantastic about the MBE.
  24. Oh no, that makes me sad. Re spoiler. I’m watching Canadian time, so it’s just before Christmas. So happy that the truth is out about Summer. I hope this is the end of that oh so stupid storyline. I’m trying to think of what storylines I’m enjoying right now. I like Daisy and Daniel as a couple. I like Eileen and George. Btw, how many people live in Eileen’s little house! I’d like Evelyn to come back. She’s been gone a long time. And what about the actress in the wheelchair, forget her name, she has the kid with Gary. I know she was off for Covid. I wonder if she’s ever coming back. I read that the actors who play Toyah and Imran are a real life couple, cute! (Sorry, what a collection of random thoughts!)
