  1. Season finales are never easy, series finales are damn near impossible due to all the story lines .Getting NLH's name was never a big deal for me.I was glad the last season included Lili Simmons throughout. She was possibly THE hottest character of any series I've ever watched. She was great in True Detective too! The show had a great run and ended as well as was possible.Lots of story lines were closed satisfactorily in MHO. I thought the whole thing was groundbreaking and look forward to other shows trying to meet and break the bar that Banshee set. Thank you to all the were involved in this series and know you did top work.At least as far as this fan is concerned. I've got the DVD's so the show will live on for a long time around my place.
  2. Agree that the next to last episode should have been spent setting up the finale. BTW: Satanic serial killer should not have been the cause of Rebecca's demise. What an Effing waste of a great character. Probably should be a 2 hour finale to properly end the series. Lots of character story lines to kill off. In the end it has to be about Hood and Carrie. That's what the whole series has been based on.
  3. Regrets and relief in equal measure." No Beckett.... No Castle". The great love story that so many shipped should have had their HEA.
  4. Kave Dweller, with all due respect,I'm glad you loved "The Time of Our Lives". Since I enjoy your honest and upbeat take on our show,I'll attempt to respectfully explain why I didn't enjoy it. To save time I'm( respectfully) going to use "http://connect.nola.com/staff/julieboudwin/posts.html" Julie Boudwin's take to emphasize my own thoughts. I pray she will not mind. http://www.nola.com/tv/index.ssf/2014/11/abcs_castle_recap_caskett_wedd.html Episode six of season seven, titled "The Times of Our Lives," led Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) not only to the altar, but also to an alternate universe where the duo had never met. In this bizarre reality, Beckett was captain of the 12th Precinct and Castle, well he hadn't had much recent success in writing. In fact, Castle's mother was more famous than the novelist. Seriously? I like Martha but... During the real-life case, Castle is caught holding an ancient artifact while simultaneously getting knocked out. When he comes around, he is in a reality where his life is completely different and he thinks the artifact brought him there. Completely overused plot line to say the least! Throughout much of the episode Castle is stuck in this dream world, where he is looking for this artifact that he believes will take him back to his world. But turns out, he wakes up in his real life just as he was shot in the chest in the alternate reality, which was eerily and purposely done to take viewers back to Beckett's shooting at the end of season three. Did we really need that reminder? I didn't. Strictly personal point for me. Once back to his normal life, Castle comes to the realization, or perhaps has a little inspiration, that he and Beckett should be married and it should happen now. Umm nooo....it should have happened in 6.23 The second wedding attempt for Caskett was simple, not much fuss, but perfectly and beautifully done. Back in the Hamptons, and only family in attendance, the duo said their own vows, which began with how "extraordinary" their lives have been since meeting each other. Family only attendance.....not the BIG WEDDING we all wanted and expected in 6.23. Just another part of my lack of forgiveness. Green screen background that was undeniably fake. Yes it was pretty but... less than "extraordinary" in my opinion, Beckett should have worn a WEDDING DRESS not the pant suit. Another strictly personal annoyance. Jim Beckett (HER FATHER) NEVER SPOKE A WORD!!!! Really? Gives his Daughter away and never speaks a word? I did enjoy the vows but they should have come in 6.23. Beckett added in her vow that Castle taught her how to look "forward to tomorrow's adventures," and many Caskett fans would agree with that notion. Those same fans can look forward to the adventures, which start with next week's episode, "Once Upon a Time in the West," where Castle and Beckett spend their honeymoon solving a murder at a Dude Ranch. "Dude Ranch"? The honeymoon was supposed to take place in "Tahiti" if memory serves. A promise to go later doesn't work for me. However I did actually like "Once Upon A Time In The West" Lagniappe: In the other reality or Castle's dream world (whatever you want to call it), Lanie (Tamala Jones) and Esposito (Jon Huertas) aren't together and Lanie has definitely moved on - she's pregnant. OMG can we insult these two any more? Kevin (Seamus Dever) and his wife never got married because he didn't have the time to devote to her after Beckett became captain. Filler inside filler, complete wast of time and irrelevant in the scheme of this episode. Castle's daughter, Alexis (Molly Quinn), lives in Los Angeles with her mom, plus her hair isn't red! More irrlevant filler. Surprise appearance by Jim Beckett (Scott Paulin), although he didn't even mutter a single line. His guest role was strictly to walk Beckett down the aisle. Insult added to injury to a relevant character in this whole story line. Castle learned that he and Beckett crossed paths long ago when she waited in line to get a book signed by him. Could that cherished reveal be any more disappointing? Also, Castle claims he would never sing "Let It Go," as a duet. ? There in lies the root of my discontent. It all falls on MilMar for this fan and I won't soon forget it.
  5. Truer words have never been spoken! I will not forgive nor will I forget that It was ultimately MilMar that penned "For Better or Worse" and later "The Time of Our Lives" Two P'sOS that derailed the series as nothing else possibly could. I can't help but believe that they knew and understood just how badly the fan base wanted a storybook wedding for their beloved DD. Furthermore I believe it was deliberate, vengeful and spiteful on their part. Why else would a creator totally ruin one of the best love stories ever written on network TV??? The show should have ended with "Veritas" if the wedding of the century was not to come off. The "Respect the process" comment by Miller infuriated loyal fans. The arrogant b***h !!!
  6. Really doesn't matter one way or the other what NF does. I think the fan base has had it with the BS writing and wimpy ass show runners. NF can take Funky Firefly and his cronies and go away. This ship has sunk. All the best to Stana Katic for giving many great years of talent to this show.
  7. Mostly tongue in cheek NSFM but Yeah, I tend to hope Fat Au returns. He fits in this cast so well he should be a regular. lol imo. It's just too damn bad that there wont be another season. We all seen to like what they are doing and the new characters are pulling their weight just fine. So much story so little time.
  8. Must have forgotten "For Better or Worse" and "The Time of Our Lives" No MilMar love from this fan. TEM saying "Respect the process people" want to puke every time I think of her. No Caskett ....................No Castle !!! Period Looks like I'm having anger issues here. Well .................I've EARNED them.
  9. I'm thinking a Carrie / Cruz fight is inevitable. Plus I bet Carrie beats the living shit out of her. I'm liking Kurt and Maggie so one or both are certainly doomed. Kai is not the serial killer. The killer's back tat wasn't "The Brotherhood" or "Tribal" so he's an unknown entity at this point. Will Hood,Carrie,Sugar and Job go after the money? They know who to look for now. Nice to see Fat Au back as a semi-regular cast member this season. Great addition to the team imho. Agree with nosleepforme that the women go out brutally. They really pay for their sins in the ways they are killed. So far I'm pleased with the way Trooper is bring the series to a close. It will be interesting to see who's left standing. Can't wait for Friday night.
  10. R.I.P. Rebecca Rebecca Bowman( Lili Simmons) will be sorely missed by this fan. Like Hood told Proctor, she was doomed from the moment he took her in. I have no idea who the killer is at this point. Hope Hood gets to him first. Tom Pelphrey banging his SIL jumped up from nowhere but proves he has no feelings for his brother. Like the rest here, I hope Job is still alive. Enjoyed Carrie's night time hobby. I still like her character. At this point,it looks like no one will be left standing. Maybe Job will show up for the finale and after looking at all the graves he will take the money and disappear into the night.
  11. Is it true that Fillion and Katic can't stand each other? If so .....WTH happened? If not where did this start? I always thought they got along famously.
  12. Ummm this one kind of stretches the suspension of disbelief so important in a show like this.Still watching though. Just shakes head and wonders ........seriously? What next???
  13. I hate to see it end. Season 4 will probably be extremely bloody. Wonder who will be left standing when the carnage clears?
  14. ED must be a side effect since Brian hasn't worked in a booty call with Rebecca yet. Yeah, yeah,I get it but they are two young and attractive people with obvious chemistry. The next Castle and Beckett? Sex is good for you after all. Cures a lot of ills.
  15. Although I didn't hate this episode...exactly. It's not an episode I will look back on or watch again. It felt fragmented from the start and didn't get any better as time passed. Baldwin is a DB and I hope his character,Detective Slaughter is over and done. Enough of the Firefly reunion. This is Castle or better yet,Castle and Beckett. Kate Beckett, calling Kate Beckett. Has anyone seen Kate Beckett. Not too cool boys. This whole separation arc has become tedious. I hope it works it's way out by mid-season break. jmho
