  1. @zoemom - I don't know how I missed this, but I just wanted to add my show of support for you and what you're going through on your job. I'm so very sorry and feel so badly for you. Hang in there. We're here almost at the end of the month now and I'll say a prayer for you that everything works out in your favor. But no matter what happens, know that you do have people here who will listen and that care about what happens to you. Hold your head high no matter what. Sending you a big hug.
  2. and for some reason even from watching from the very beginning, I never had the feeling they would last.
  3. I could have sworn she called it a turkeyburger, but I obviously was mistaken. Whatever it was she talked about it on the show again today - how she ate like an animal (people must have commented on her FB page LOL!!). Well, she ate another one that night and another one this morning it was so good. Like I said - girl is hawngry - give her a sammich!!
  4. Holy crap but Wendy literally inhaled that turkey burger her chef guest made today. Obviously, Wendy is starving..... give that girl a sandwich! lol!!
  5. Good to read your actual knowledge of her because I used to wonder sometimes if she was, in fact, riding on Oprah's coattails, or what. I always figured Oprah wouldn't stand for someone not pulling their weight, so she must have had some skills.
  6. Attention @Booney - re: Jacque's termination - wasn't sure if this would be off topic or not on the other thread but is it your opinion that they had her sign a document agreeing not to discuss the details of her departure and how long does it last? I've never worked in an industry with non compete clauses, whatever, so was just wondering. And in all the years of watching QVC and seeing departures, no one has ever posted anywhere the details of why or how they left. Just a curious topic.
  7. Not sure what year this episode came out, but I do remember watching it. And maybe the design, however offbeat, was really ahead of its time because it seems to me I've seen some similar creations on a Project Runway episode or two.
  8. You're not weird at all - especially since I like looking at them too!! Just like I love watching fashion shows (remember Elsa Klensch?) - I think the creative person living in me loves to get their fashion fix whenever possible.
  9. Does anyone have any Dappled Willow plants? I mention it only because around here where I live I have been seeing them everywhere and they are all in full bloom and they are just absolutely the prettiest thing to me. I have a couple in my yard - one tree form and one shrub form.
  10. I haven't seen any plant arrangements in toilet bowls around here, but I've seen a lot of arrangements where the pot is sitting on its side and the plants are planted to mimic them spilling out of the pot. Seems to be a trend that started several years ago or maybe even longer ago than that. I have an area where I created a small fairy garden and nearby I have a Plow & Hearth (from QVC) solar light mobile of 6-7 fairies hanging from a shepherd's hook and it color morphs at night. I have to say, I just love seeing those fairies floating around and color morphing from my kitchen window! It's funny the little silly things that can make you smile. I haven't had any luck with the Knockout Roses, luckily hydrangeas are another story, but I love roses and try as I might, I just don't seem to have luck with them so I usually wind up replacing them with another hydrangea and I'm happy! - hah!
  11. Awwww poor little sweet munchkin..... glad you found each other!!
  12. is this it?? looks pretty similar to me and it comes in a deep pink color. https://www.boscovs.com/shop/prod/preswick-moore-sleeveless-pintuck-blouse/498572.htm
  13. BWAHAHAHAHA!!!! a girl after my own heart.......
  14. Those little ducklings are the cutest, sweetest, funnest thing E V E R!!!!! We had ponds all over our grounds where I used to work and we would always see ducklings. Loved it!
  15. Hee!! all I have to say is THANK GOODNESS for the IGNORE FEATURE!! .... lol! Hang in there - hugs backatcha
  16. I've been toying with the idea of taking the Master Gardener course here in Michigan. The volunteer work after is really a major load and doesn't really appeal to me, but I'd be happy just taking the course for what it's worth. I have until end of July to think about it. I probably already know a lot because I've continually read up on any and every aspect of gardening over the years. Still thinking ....
  17. I got a shiver after reading your story about the young couple. How very sad. It's like something I've heard referred to as a "God moment". When something happens in your life and you can't explain it. Even if it's just for a second we know that something greater than ourselves has touched our lives. Like your souls were meant to come together for some reason and sharing it in turn touches our lives - a profound moment.
  18. Yes you can talk about anything you want here. I only know blue salvia. I think it's called Victoria Blue. I'm in MI and it does well in my yard - actually along my driveway. It gets a lot of sun and it amazes me how BIG the little sprigs I plant get in one season. A great performer. It gets pretty tall and can be leggy so I like to underplant it with something. My salvias are in between clumps of creeping phlox. I would imagine red salvia should do the same - same family of plants and all.
  19. You and me both! I always complained about my too thick hair - now I wish I could take it all back. I've lost about 1/2 the volume because of an RA medication I take. I can tell, naturally, but I just recently had someone say it looks thick. Hmm really? All I can say is thank goodness for those fill-in scalp powders.
  20. Well! Mr. Hag pulled off a surprise party for my 60th, right in our own house! People just started showing up with food and drinks. I still can't figure out how he got it past me! I am stunned. And happy. Attention @seahag!! Happiest Birthday to you!! - your hubby is a keeper. Hope your day was happy and your year even better!!
  21. I got these tulips from ebay for $15.99 (15 stems free shipping) - my preferred color choice and I don't need anyone to tell me to 'fluff' them up. Her venture actually entertains me just watching and waiting to see what she does next or offers next. Hee.
  22. bwahaha!! but hey! how did you know which definition to pick?? LOL!!
