  1. I don't really care that Derek died but I honestly never thought Shonda would kill him, regardless of her apparent love of character deaths. I was certain they'd let him languish in a coma until the series finale and then bring him back for a miraculous recovery.
  2. I don't think it'll 'ruin' her career by any means, particularly since it seems that her main interest is really indie/art house films. I definitely don't envy her the backlash she'll suffer from the fandom/internet, though. Assuming she's out, I imagine we probably won't hear from her for a good while after the official announcement is made.
  3. Stana's latest instagrams certainly have a ring of finality.
  4. It's actually not all that unrealistic. There are quite a lot of people who have monetized their YouTube channels and make decent money off of it. Rich might be a stretch but it's been enough to enable some to quit their day jobs and become full time 'content creators'.
  5. I had to sit through hour long explanations about why I was about to get a whipping. Those were seriously worse than the actual whipping itself.
  6. There's a huge difference between a spanking and a beating. I know the show was playing it up for comedy but that is a distinction that should be recognized. But otherwise, I thought the show handled what is clearly a sensitive and divisive topic very well. I'm finding that the relationship between Dre and Bow has become one of my favorite aspects of the show. It's so rare to find a married couple on a sitcom (or on any television show, really) who clearly love and respect one another the way those two do. They bicker and they joke and they disagree but underneath it all is a deep and obvious affection. They like each other which, again, is so damn rare in sitcoms. The two actors just seem to have a very natural chemistry with one another that allows me to believe that these two characters are people who have been together for the better part of two decades. They know each other and they're comfortable and they're still weird and in love. I've never really been a fan of Anthony Anderson but this show might just sell me on him. Tracee Ellis Ross can do no wrong in my book and this just solidifies that.
  7. The title of this show really put me off and I only gave this a shot because of the article that appeared on this site. I'm glad I did. It was actually really cute, if a little overwrought in places (but seeing as it's based on a telenovela, I can forgive that). The actress playing Jane is super endearing and I think that really will allow them to get away with a hell of a lot more than they would have been able to otherwise. The female members of the cast are all pretty great but I find both of the love interests to be bland and their actors less than skilled so here's hoping the CW invests some money into coaches for those guys at some point. Overall I rather enjoyed it and, stupid name aside, I'm in for at least another three or four episodes.
  8. As much as I once loved it, the Callie/Arizona relationship needs to be put out of its misery. But please, for the love of all that is holy, do not put Callie in a relationship with Owen. I love Callie. She's been my favorite since her first episode and I relate to her on levels I don't really care to explore sometimes (because Callie Torres is not the most emotionally stable or rational character to have ever graced network television) and I really don't think I could stomach watching her with Owen, the black hole of suck. Maggie is annoying and just makes me miss Lexie. Bailey has become insufferable. Derek is a patronizing douche but that's nothing new. Geena Davis' face is scary. Everything else is just... there. I watch this show purely out of habit now. That makes me kinda sad.
  9. And who can blame them, really? Shows can't, and shouldn't, last forever and I imagine they both would welcome a break from the insanity that is the Castle fandom. I'm no Fillion fan but I certainly don't envy what the man has to deal with as far as that goes.
  10. You know, what hacks me off about all this contract renewal crap is that no one ever mentions the fact that SK's contract is up this year as well. So if she doesn't resign, which I think is a distinct possibility as she seems ready to move on and pursue other projects, the show also ends. But as this is still seen as the Fillion show (ugh), she doesn't even warrant a mention. I really would love for AWM to get some tough questions at the AMA but I have a feeling only the funny/fawning ones will be answered and the real ones (such as: what the hell are you thinking with this crap?) will just be ignored. *sigh*
  11. I tried to watch but only made it to the first commercial break before I turned the television off. I really wanted to like it because I have something of a soft spot for Ioan Gruffudd, especially since his one off guest appearance on Castle, but nothing about it worked for me. The voiceover was grating and the Sherlocky-ness of Henry was over the top and kinda made me want to punch him. The female lead, as it were, was practically a two by four she was so wooden. Judd Hirsch was pretty much the only bright spot and even him I was iffy about. I might try watching again on Hulu or something at a later date but right now I just don't see this one working out for me which is a shame because this was literally the only pilot I was looking forward to trying this season.
  12. What is up with Zach's perpetually glassy eyes? They're really starting to freak me out.
  13. I totally agree with some kind of punishment/reward system about cleaning the house. I can't watch the show sometimes because of the mess. Particularly in the kitchen and bathroom. It just grosses me out. That many adults living in a house and you're telling me that not a single one of them takes the initiative to clean? I'd also like to see the luxury competitions come back. I used to love those. The jealousy they bred amongst the HGs was always awesome, particularly if it was something like getting to leave the house or have outside contact with a loved one.
