  1. Don't forget that it was an accident i.e. he was emotional unstable, drunk, encountered by his worst enemy and the gun went off during a struggle. Considering all the other things they all have been involved in, I can see how she can "let it slide" eventually, however, letting her live with guilt over it its much much worse, it is a direct betrayal...
  2. I agree, also found Paige intuition during the raid as hard to stomach.( maybe if it came after she talked to the girls ). The other thing I found hard to stomach, was the blunder at the raid. With mike ever growing desperation\pressure and all that he already done (like disposing of body), wtf he had to clear the cop, saying to the reporter that the russian guy reached for his gun?!?!?! The cop clearly came there to kill him, only two of them were there, so its FBI agent vs cop, and the russian guy never drawn his weapon(still was in his belt), Mike could easily bench the cop through internal affairs, further pressuring him.
  3. I think it was a great episode, seeing everyone in this light was a stark contrast to the rest of the season (especially the party where everyone were outwardly happy) and filling some important blanks and humanizing few characters. I am not certain that everyone there are leftover, IMO the most significant moments at that party was Kevin speech and his father comment to him afterwards.
  4. I think the main attraction of the show is the WTF?! factor. The more we figure out the more stupid it seems ( Patti speech in this episode was no exception ) Reminds me the cheesy line 1:Hi I am very mysterious 2:How come ? 1:Walks away smiling ...
  5. If you are watching a show about vampires, you have to allow certain details to go un-noticed. Its not that the father didn't noticed its that he didn't want too i.e. we are motivated by love line, and his scene at the air-port consumed by the thought of his daughter just wanting to see her dead or alive. What I did find ridicules, is the old man who is smart enough to skip a security check at the airport, to get to talk with the person in charge but offered nothing but mad ramblings. Then in this episodes he again offers NOTHING intelligible, telling them that they are not read. Of course they are not ready! no one sane will entertain the idea of vampires, but he don't need to say vampires, just want them that there are parasites which inhibit a human host and thus everyone( dead or alive) on board that plane had to be quarantined and watched.(drop in few clues about their reaction to blood) It would have helped focus the investigation (especially once they found the parasites on board) and the existence of foreign bodies would have required quarantine...
  6. Not really. Just because she stumbled over a breakthrough, doesn't mean that she is the most qualified person to take the project to next level. Also it was apparent that the chief wanted to run operation, which would effect things on national/global scale, as top secret for now (not surprising considering the rioting) and he said that she was a security risk (which the crazy broad is, and in spades) The crazy Doctor who crossed all lines, who abused her position to find her "sperm donors" for her one night stands, who has issues with authority and concept of team. Who escalated from being suspended with pay( yes s*** happens ), into violating how many laws, and placing the whole project in jeopardy stealing the eggs and taking them on the run, because its her "baby" project, so she "must" know best and has the resources to utilize upon it.. Its just plain stupid, I was cheering for her getting arrested and thrown into a loony bin, where she could chant that BS. Also did I miss something or when she was arrested by the secret service(?) "idiots" she left the eggs in the car and they didn't think to check, really?! First she wasn't fired, but suspended with pay. Second she signed a nice contract that prevent her from doing what you suggest. Third, I can assure you that what she did was documented and could be repeated by anyone else in that lab.
  7. It was a nice episode, however, that last scene about "courage" was such a BS, just a silly setup for next episode drama. The glaring difference in her stupid trust analog, is that Mike confided in her about his past before them, because he trusted her and them as couple. While her confession about her little mishap with logan, would because she feels guilty about breaking that trust and not wanting for it to backfire. Besides, in life its all about timing, telling Mike about it know, when he is down and most vulnerable i.e. after loosing his job, with no future in horizon, failing to come through for Gillen, and being on shaky ground with most of his friends. Instead of being there for him placing trust issues between and sending his jealousy to new levels is just stupid, not courageous.
  8. "Breasts are for children. When you grow up, it's all about ass" -- Mickey's Life style Advice "Banging whores and getting your kid beat up? That's some spiritual awakening, Mick" - Ray F' Donovan.
  9. @RubyWoo72, No need to get defensive, I wasn't attacking you, making personal comments about you, nor I wasn't questioning how you felt about Abby, in fact the vast majority of people would agree with your sentiment (otherwise the producers failed with their season 1 finally delivery) The point I was making is that this show is indeed about "Ray f***ing Donovan" (about him "fixing" more then just things at work) and as the anti-hero type his family ( Abby and the two empty coco nuts kids) are there mostly to help us relate to him. However, if we try to look at this outside of Ray POV, I find that blaming Abby is silly i.e. She is not bad, she is just "drawn" that way.
  10. I disagree, the theme here is family, not just Ray and his brothers, but almost everyone mentioned including Sully the ruthless murderer, Avi the Special ops guy etc seem to taking care of their mother\family on screen. So, you can't blame Abby for wanting to bringing their Irish family together and bridge over their family issues --which thanks to Ray to the best of her knowledge are likely the usual teenage dady issues crap-- Bring Micky, who on the outside appears to everyone as the harmless, warm, charming and fun grandfather who only want to spend more time with his family (which the opposite of what Ray was, partially due to his demanding job, his issues with Abby started long before that)
  11. All Abby wanted was honesty. Instead she got shut off by her partner, who don't confide in her, does what he wants, appears to fuck around, while his secret unresolved issues bubble up effecting their family and kids. More recent example: knowing what Rays business is, I can imagine how waking up to find Avi in their home, which means that she and her kids are unsafe and kept confined in their own house, without knowing why, could really be nerve wreaking to anyone .. Before that with all do respect to Ray, before that Abbey just tried to bring the family closer together, something that her family needed as was apparent by how the kids reacted to Micky, who was seen as charming old guy by all expect Ray (for unknown issues). Then after Ray discovery, she tried to stand by him she is getting roughed up.. Maybe she is cast as unlikable, in the last episode she didn't want to babysit suspended Conor, because she "has life", what life? I don't think she done anything expect fleshing out Ray issues.
  12. Unless you assume she suppose to have some kind of psychic powers, I don't see how her delivery could have been better or she could have known all the things that Ray choose to hid from her. Think Frances. Most of us who are familiar with Donovan family's story and what happened with priest incident are probably sympathies with them and Terry. However, lets be honest, if I was in her shoes, knowing what she did, i'd be think this: Donovan's are: http://wpc.556e.edgecastcdn.net/80556E/img.news/NEoElLDwlL9Cso_1_1.jpg what the f*** did I got myself into!??!!??
  13. I suspect that this is why the show still rolls. Because Lets be honest, beside Carrie charm there isn't much memorable about the show, and the way she is being cast as a 'tom boy'**, I suspect that its target audience is young female. ** a very juvenile and insecure one, i might add. Considering Carrie over the top showing off and turning everything into a competition.
