  1. Agreed. The Prince Show clips weren't that funny and Jimmy's storytelling was awful.
  2. Seth said in interviews last year that he began doing stand-up again after finding out he got "Late Night" to get him ready for doing monologues. Clearly it isn't working, as his monologues are getting worse. (imo) At this point I only watch (on Hulu) if there is a guest I like, and only after fast-forwarding until their segment. I skip the monologue, the "comedy" bits, hell, even past Fred's little improv'd discussions about What Fred's Involved With every night. Speaking of which...don't do that bit EVERY night, do it one night a week, and make up different comedy bits for the other 4 nights. Much like Fallon does "Thank You Notes" on Fridays. (I think? I skip past his comedy bits now, too.) The last time I accidentally watched the "So, Fred, I heard you started a (insert lame improv topic HERE)..." I started improv-ing a story myself and completely ignored what they said. New writers. This show needs new writers. Also new theme music. It sounds like something an 8th grader wrote after learning 4 chords on his guitar and deciding to start a band! in my garage, man! Gah, I hate this show.
  3. That's exactly the answer I got from @HuluPlus on twitter when I whined about it. The "Airport" ("Cheating") sketch was linked by Daily Motion and had 2 or 3 song snippets that played during the sketch. So, guess I'll have to fire up the TiVo once again to record SNL.
  4. Something strange is going on. On Hulu+, Sarah's episode is shown as being 55 minutes long, whereas Chris Pratt's full-length episode is the standard 1 hour 4 minutes. Missing are three sketches: Proud Mary/River Sisters, Cruise Ship/Rachel, and Good Neighbors. None of these three skits are available as 'clips' either. What's up with that? I mean, do I have to go back to recording SNL on my TiVo to make sure I am able to watch what I thought I was paying for on Hulu+? Yeesh.
  5. This is airing right now as a repeat, and Wayne looks like he's lost a lot of weight. Has he been sick? Or is his clothing just particularly form-fitting tonight?
  6. Yeah, that surprised me, too. It made me wonder if Stephen came in at a different time to tape his segment because of a conflict with "The Colbert Report" taping schedule. Also, I'd just like to say that I really, really, REALLY do not like the band. They just sound really amateurish. :/
  7. Phil Hendrie mad me laugh my ass off because of the way he made Daniel Inouye swear like a mofo. I was in tears. Also, the Captain Hook story was hilarious, too. "Here's this sack of ... *snicker* ... here's this sack of James Cook." hee!
  8. I feel like Unpopular Opinion Puffin here, but the show with Drew Carey reminded me why I have such a hard time liking him. Every time he told a joke (and granted, yes, he was funny) he would laugh uproariously at his own joke while looking at the other comedians like Fozzie Bear going "wacka! wacka! wacka! That was funny, amiright!?" It irritates me, just as it does when the performers on SNL crack up during their skits. I'll show myself out now. PS Get off my lawn.
  9. Also the line "I've penetrated a lot of ladies." My HR department wouldn't appreciate that. Also, I'm a hetero woman, so ...
  10. @Mindy -- There is a Tesla episode from the original "Funny or Die" version. You can (legally!) find it on YouTube. @Rinaldo -- I agree. A random shoot-out or duel is one thing, but they would have to be verrry skillful to make weightier issues 'entertaining.'
  11. For me it's not even so much that that the story tellers are drunk as seeing the historical personalities swearing and speaking very informally. ("This molecule goes with this molecule, boom!") I can't get enough of this show.
  12. How David met Tara, as told by Drunk Dave. (All we need is one beer and a camcorder and it's ON.)
