  1. I didn't say every person is being fired for minor issues. The issue I have and other people are having is that this whole issue is creating a dangerous precedent for the future if studios are going to keep letting these mobs of people trying to prove a point dictate what they do with their talent. It's not about just right now. It's about the future. It's not just about the entertainment industry. It's already hard for felons both violent and non violent to get hired or rehabilitate. More set ups to write people off isn't a good thing. Not with people who have changed and learned. People need to be able to change and grow. The world we are living in right now is making that something people don't care about.
  2. It's really easy to just dismiss it like this but it's not just a job. It's his dream job he's losing. He spent his career trying to get to this point. And when something like this happens to you, it's not as simple to just bounce back. A lot of people won't want to hire him not even because of what he joked about, the backlash they will receive. All for something that was public years ago, addressed by the studio years ago and hasn't happened since. Yes people have to be held accountable for their own actions and repercussions will happen for your prior mistake in certain circumstances. But, he didn't lie to anyone. He was always out there with this news. A bunch of people didn't know about it? Okay, it still wasn't hidden. And his firing is systematic of a bigger issue. Treating every bad deed the same way regardless of context or facts. Just fire them. Move on is going to keep setting a dangerous situation. And allowing someone who clearly doesn't care about this situation and is beating you will only get worse until people and studios take a stand and work people who have said something wrong or maybe done something wrong in the past. Mark Walberg committed a vicious hate crime in his youth that nearly killed a man. It's open information but many people still dont know about it. He has never done anything like that since then and has apologized for his misdeeds. Should he be fired from movies years later because someone basically did a smear campaign about him years later? Yes, a business can do this. They have the right. But, should people keep getting written off for these bad deeds? At a certain point, the answer has to be no or at least no given that every situation is different. Sorry for ranting but this isn't some issue that should just be casually dismissed. There is no nuance or thought behind the way a lot of people are judged today and I just don't like.
  3. No it's not like the example you said. These are people targeting Gunn to make a point. Whether or not his tweets were reprehensible isn't the point. They obviously are joke or not. These tweets already came to light. It was addressed when he first came to Disney by all parties. It was not buried. This isn't new information. He apologized for his actions and took responsibility for them. Now people who want to lash back after things like the Roseanne incident to make a point. And this shouldn't be a treated like Roseanne incident. This isn't someone actively saying bad things. This is a guy who said bad things in jest at one point in his life, apologized and seemed to learn from it. If people aren't allowed to learn and change anymore, we have a huge problem. Screen junkies covered a lot of my thoughts as well.
  4. It was only going to be Republican or white. I knew exactly what the contestants would for. It's the easiest reach even if straight is a great answer for Pence. This was not great in terms of bad questions and bad answers. And I had no interest in miss I want a sugar daddy winning anything. Then, go get someone to waste money on you. Neil is all time bad on this show. He thinks way too much.
  5. Dont go down the road of trying to figure those things out. Jersey Shore had the exact same but with putting S on the end of everyone's name. It's just a bit they are doing.
  6. Well I do know that Candice is a part of afterbuzz. Afterbuzz hosts videos that go on YouTube and podcasts that cover various tv shows and movies. It gives those people hosting experience. She works with them. Several of people that have worked their get media work and hosting gigs all over. People can keep saying Codi isn't gay. Doesn't mean he isn't. Nothing involving him and women seems right at all. Him being sexual with woman, even kissing is laughable.
  7. Nev and Max have nothing to do with that. It seems to be the general consensus that the show knows all the information. Nev and Max are finding things out as they move along. The producers work out all the particulars beforehand and Max and Nev do their thing after that.
  8. Zach being a dickhead, walking out on girlfriends and never talking to them again even if they live together with no warning, physically pushing his female teammate years ago because she wasn't moving fast enough are just some of the reasons for the Zach hate. He can clean up his act all he wants. Good for him. No woman should completely trust him and he's still arrogant as hell.
  9. Godfather parralled all over the place. Basically, Luke much like Michael Corleone, thinks he can make things better if he's in charge. Control things from the inside. But as we see all the time, power corrupts. Yes, the season was too long as always but I was entertained overall. Great performances all around. I've grown tired of Iron Fist somehow being the worst thing ever. He wasn't bad on the show and him being on it didn't make anything worse. I thought he worked well with Luke. None of the marvel Netflix leads work well on their own. They need the right people to bounce off of. It made perfect sense for Luke not to want to see Claire because she would never accept what he's doing and nothing has changed. He's let all of this madness change him possibly for the worse. They won't work the way things are now. The responses here don't reflect anything. The responses for these Netflix shows are always light. People are watching at different speeds. It's also hard to talk about these shows episode by episode. They all kind of work as a whole. The next season might not even be on Netflix. Disney's streaming services would be up by then. Only hiccup is if Disney will have their non family friendly stuff on there.
  10. From what I can gather Alicia basically became play mommy to that kid. Playing step mom to a kid that's not hers and Corey still dumped her. That's why she keeps going on and about the kid and stuff. She was all in even though the child wasn't hers but Corey didn't give damn.
  11. Well. Looks like all of MASH has hit hulu streaming.
  12. No. What she said is real and i wish more people said. There is a constant stance with these kind of alterations where men are constantly taken to task for how they approach women. Arguing and getting in women's faces and trying to intimidate them. You don't do That! The reality is that no one should be doing that to anyone. Be an adult. Beyond that, there are a lot of women that pop off on men because they know the guy can't hit back. I know a guy who was literally being hit with a baseball bat by his girl over a basic argument. And the reality is that he just had to take it or run because if he defended himself, he goes to jail. Many women use that to their advantage. What she was saying is not to use that against men. Be respectful of each other. And i will also tack on that if anyone, man or woman, is provoking a fight physically and they get hit, it's on them. Don't just assume anybody will not hit you regardless of gender. Keep your hands to yourself. It's not about condoning man and on woman violence. It's about keeping your hands to yourself and also being mindful of consequences to your actions.
  13. If you can't pull the name Beyonce off of her beau, then I don't what to tell you. They forever linked together for various reasons.
  14. Which is funny since having sex in the middle of a house filled with people is by no means sweet or refreshing. Yet, here it is because at least they didn't rush it.
  15. Brenner gets better. They introduced him in the worst way possible. Especially since he was basically taking Pratt's attending spot. They delve into his backstory as he begins to open up more. It's not great as you would assume from this show. But, that's not why he got better. He became a much better teacher and his arc with Alex from Modern Family was honestly really sweet. Was never interested in him with Neela though.
  16. I honestly think they only brought in Moretti to sleep with Abby. He's a outsider they can write out at anytime as opposed to her sleeping with Pratt or someone they could never walk back. The show did lean too much on Abby but I appreciated her more upon rewatch. I saw more of her connections inside the hospital, whereas I used to just think she had no bonds with anyone she wasn't dating. She really did have fun connections with Morris, Pratt, Sam and Neela. I don't think Abby was ever cut out for being a teacher though. She's the type that rather do then teach. I don't think that ever really changed. A little better but it didn't progress in the way Pratt and Morris did.
  17. Death of a cheerleader is on Amazon prime for those who have that service. Tori plays the mean girl too well for it to be an act. She sucks acting. I will also always remember the one where Sharon Lawrence starts banging her best friends teenage son...Brian Austin Green.
  18. I can't say. It might have stayed in your reply box after you posted it. Sometimes you have to clear the box or it will stay there. It has happen to me before. It will ask if you want to clear editor or something like that. It's no biggie.
  19. Didn't you already state this thought days ago? Just making sure I'm not going crazy here.
  20. That's was supposed to say kicked a woman out.
  21. Corey's baby is not Alicia's. It's by another are you the one girl. Alicia just became a proud quasi stepmom weeks after dating Corey only for him to dip out right before coming on the show. They have no ties to one another except for the fact that Alicia refuses to get over it and move on. Joe is there because he's a ex. It's was only a matter of time before he showed up. But, for the most part, they aren't plucking people out of thin air. Who's knows what the point of this show is. It just exists to create drama from week to week. It ends when the show decides it's over. I would assume that at some point when they want the show to be done, they will let all of the people who are not exes choose one person from all the exes that have come on as their "chosen one". It's all nonsense though. There were never any rules laid out other than eliminations. I believe ex on the beach in the UK had more structure and I don't think you could vote out your ex. You had to deal with your shit. I might be wrong though.
  22. What's annoying is that seem to be digging to find reasons to not like Mike again while Ronnie is steady performing shitty behavior after shitty behavior. Imagine if Mike had clogged up the toilet that bad, kicked a woman out that one of them was hooking up with, cheated on his pregnant girlfriend or any of the other stuff he's done. They would ready to kick Mike out. Ronnie has always been a shithead and they just ignore it but when does anything wrong, he's a jerk.
  23. I don't care what's going on. If you spit on me, you have to die.
  24. MTV is not failing with this show. It's not a failure. It's rating are right in line with regular cable successes (1 and a half million or higher) and 1.2 to 1.0 in the previous 18 to 49 demo. It's been the top cable show of the night since it's return. It's a success story not a failure. Yes one might ask why because there is nothing here. But, nostalgia is a hell of a thing to the point where people are nostalgic for things not even 10 years old. Ronnie is such a punk bitch. It's pathetic how clearly jealous he is of every dude in the house thanks to his poor life choices.
  25. Finished my rewatch. I legitimately think that there was never a bad season. Seasons with more troubling decisions than others but never bad. I've been of the opinion that a lot of tv related opinions get blown out of proportion through the internet and that reality isn't as severe. This is all left up to the individual of course. No one is wrong. But, it's just my perspective. ER was never bad. I don't even think there is a better days behind them scenario. Just different. There was tons good characters and quality writing post season 8. It was just different. I actually liked the growing focus on the medicine and teaching as time goes on. I think i learned more about medicine and how the different units within the hospital work in latter seasons than earlier ones. Yes, there is always a point where shows should end. From a overall big picture viewpoint. But, at the end of the day, the hospital was the star of the show. As long as the hospital doors were open, there were stories to tell. I don't think the sun rose and set with Mark as far as the show is concerned either. I loved him for sure. But, Carter as the center and even with Morris and Pratt, it still worked. I did see some pushing to be more sexy and soap operaish but I don't hold that against the show. They had to compete with new games in town. The most egregious may be Neela and Gates going at it front of glass windows in their fucking place of work. And of course, Ray was the one to see it. But, the show still excelled in spite of the reaching. When it's all said and done, Morris may honestly be my favorite ER character ever. His rise to being the heart of the ER is beautiful. I cheered all his accomplishments. I wanted the best for him. The penultimate episode may be when I finally figured it all out. How great he was with the heart transplant kids. So full of life. He was in love. So great with that little girl. I just him and Scott Grimes in the role. And i fucking hated him when he first came on. All in all, this was a truly rewarding rewatch. Doesn't get much better than this on tv. They want to bring it back, do a reunion, movie? I don't care. Bring it on.
