I would have helped them being so far ahead of the pack. It might pay off down the road when they need help. Now, if you're lagging at the back of the pack, then sure, every man for himself.

It should be every team for yourself period imo. You are one missed clue or turn away from the bottom during every leg. You don't have to be rude about it but its a race.

I don't know who Elizabeth Taylor is. I'm officially older than dirt!

Do you not know who she is or did someone say that? Because being old (er) would lead you to knowing who she is. Younger people wouldn't.

So the large part of my thinking it is ridiculous is the notion that Jimmy was all Sir Galahad protecting the honor of his fair former bedmate when a) it's not a dishonor and b) I suspect ulterior motives.

That's all fine but I dont see the need to look that deep into this. Is term deep dark secret was super extra but he trusted Chelsea with serious information, he put said friend in the spotlight and Chelsea betrayed that just. It doesn't matter what others think of it. Its also a window of things to come. Chelsea gets drunk and throws a bunch accusations and things that will hurt you back in your face. Its hard to trust someone like that. Something important for marriage.

I know personally I feel like shit for putting my friend in the situation and having to be blindsided about it later.

Now people are turning her into a storyline. Trying to guess which friend it was. Literally what's happening right now. He didn't want that for. It doesn't need to he anything bigger than that.

But Jimmy's friend came on tv specifically to support Jimmy and not to have her sex life discussed on national television. You are absolutely right that it should be entirely her choice as to whether to disclose that to her partner and people in her life, and now Chelsea has taken that right away. Since we don't know anything about this woman, I want to give credence to Jimmy's perspective and say it is a BFD.  We don't know anything about what that's woman's background is and maybe the knowledge that she has been intimate with Jimmy puts her in an awkward position with friends, family, her church, whomever. This is one time where we as a viewing audience simply don't know enough to judge whether or not it should be as big a deal as Jimmy says it is, but I don't think he's wrong for pointing out to Chelsea that what she did was entirely fucked up as it puts someone who is not Jimmy in the position of having to explain something that maybe she didn't want to.

    Thank you.

As to Jimmy/girl friend with benefit(s), I dunno. I find it plausible that they just had a fling that they moved past.  The notion of him trying to preserve her "honor" strikes me as ridiculous.

    Its not really ridiculous.

I think you are kind of trivializing.

Not everyone wants to be on TV or be famous. I'm sure the woman would not have appeared on the show if her business was put on full blast. I also bet Jimmy promised no such shenanigans would happen but Chelsea gonna Chelsea. She gets drunk and word vomits. Also, says hurtful things.

Any logical person would want to take a step back from that. Alcohol be damned

Brennan is getting a lot of flak in social media but Emily talks in circles and is no more clear about what is really happening. And she was rude on After Party. I really think these guys don’t want to be trashed on SM for saying they are not attracted to their wives. People are still talking about how terrible Zack was for not finding Mindy attractive. Lots of over the top sex talk but no one says what the real problems are.

As always, lack of attraction is not the problem. How you go about that issue is. Lying, dragging someone along, gaslighting, pretending like you don't know why the other party is confused or upset is the problem.

I think men have a hard time talking about their relationships all the time. I will be married 29 years in April and I don’t think we have ever had endless conversations about our feelings on every aspect of the relationship. These people don’t know each other enough to really answer these questions. Emily pushes too hard and Brennan is really closed off. Becca doesn’t push as much but Austin is also closed off. None of these marriages will make it and I would really like to know why these guys shut down so fast and so completely. Austin is going through the motions but he doesn’t have romantic feelings for Becca. Don’t know what is going on with Cameron and the heart problems.

I wish men would not be talked about as we are some monoloith. Whether it be how men express emotions or us being visual creatures, etc etc. Also, ignoring how many women will cancel a man out three seconds after seeing them. People are people. Some people are more closed off than others. Its more about them as a person. Gender is irrelevant. I know a lot of time, we are talking in general terms not every person of a gender but its not applicable.

These dudes are just boring and there isn't much THERE there. Even if they were into their matches, I doubt they would be very interesting.

I don't think Emily tries too hard. I think she just agrees with whatever he says!

The producers are trying to find some drama so they went with her saying something about him not being fun or something like that.

Basically, there doesn't seem to be much spark between them.

They didn't create the drama. He super overreacted. It probably wouldn't even been made into a thing if he didn't go back to it multiple times. Based on the aftershow, he seems to have been quite the A Hole to Clare as well. I think he's hiding a mean streak under his blandness.

Yet he said doesn't date Native American women....  That being the case, surely there's been other partners that have said something racially offensive or ignorant to him.  Does he just cut everyone off that offends him?  Something isn't adding up.

Hopefully this Lauren/Orion show overload indicates that they really do split early.  Much like the season with the "I'm a Good Person" and her partner.   It was that couple nonstop the first 3-4 episodes and once the split, the show focused on the other couples.

What is there to focus on with the other couples? The other ones seem to be tip toeing around potential land minds and not doing much else beyond that.

People often complain about one couple or one source of drama dominating a season but the reality is if there were more interesting things going elsewhere, we would get that too. I want to be entertained or at least given something to keep me involved. The other couples have not given me that.

I think Orion’s problem is sexual.  Hearing that Lauren isn’t a V gave him the ick and he is using the race card to end it.  He seems scared of sex.

He didn't ask for that and why would that be a turn off to most people? The odds of someone coming into this as a virgin are super slim.

I think he's intimidated by strong women. Like from his family. He can't take it. So, he is fabricating reasons to check out.

I never believed the attraction was there either.

Firstly, I would like more show and less After Party.

Secondly, whoever matched them, did wrong.  Orion and Lauren should not have been matched as we see now.  Plus, Lauren is too much with revealing anything on her mind so soon in the marriage.  She didn’t have to tell him she had sex close to the marriage.  Unnecessary.  She blabs too much.

Whats with the blonde who married the Jewish guy?  She was the life of the party before the marriage .. now she’s very meek and subdued.

    Poor matches from the beginning.

The show should be two hours.  None of this calling up and how to make drinks.

Where’s Cal and other expert?  Too many changes this season.

The last thing this show needs is to go back to two hours. Do we not remember how much complaining there was when that was the case? There is not enough content here to sustain that. What would of been the benefit of that here? I know people are in this huge rush to get off the honeymoon but they are still just married and getting to know each other regardless. The scenery will change but we still be dealing with the same issues that we are already delving into.

  9. I don't care that all the women made it. Especially since a few of them have been getting on damn nerves in this block of episodes. People of all walks alive deserve representation. It just doesn't make me root for them.

I rather go 50/50 chance any day.

It's amazing how many people lost out by just being super stubborn. I rather have some chance than no chance.

I love that TJ, other than being a little rah rah and try hard inspirational, he never did anything to draw the hate he got. He was just a good a dude. It sucks that it meant someone like that woman benefitted from his kindness while they were nothing but nasty behind his back. Seeing her cry about "her friend" Ty going out made me ill.

Ok, so surprised to see no one has mentioned this...

This seems 100% fake/scripted with all actors. Cute show and I will finish watching but it isn't like Survivor, Amazing Race< Big Brother oror The Challenge. It's all fiction and acted.

Someone says this for damn near every reality. In actually reality, I think just the usual case of producers at least trying for certain results (keeping their favorites) but it being more about people knowing they are on TV show and playing to that. People are constantly missing the reality that being on camera often informs how people act. They don't need to be scripted anything. People know what they need to do to make good TV, be seen, get a following.

  11. It took this long to have this fabricated men vs women stuff that rears its ugly head on so many of these shows. Sometimes its warranted on shows like The Challenge on MTV or Big Brother. At least at some point. But, this was just strategy wrapped around cause. So many of the guys here were working with women. Whatever. It hopefully pays off for one of them.

  12. I don't really understand the complaints about the after party or KKP. Its all relatively the same. They even started the polls and interactive stuff last year. Its all just trying to create more audience engagement. The afterparty is mostly useless unless something really big goes down. Its just fluff and the KKP talking during commercials is just so easily skippable to me. I've always thought that its also a sneaky way to try and get people to stop fast forwarding thinking the show is back. Maybe you catch a commercial or two thinking you missed something.

Onto the episode itself. I don't think, based on what we are seeing, there were any egregious choices for couplings. This concept is a big roll of the dice. You can only predict so much. People being open to try is all I can really hope for.

I do think everyone is trying.

Orion is a real piece of work though. Lauren over shared but Orion goes from 0 to 100 every time he hears something he doesn't like. You can't make relationships work like that.

  13. I fast forward through the Big T stuff. I'm happy for her, I just don't care. It's pretty common to have someone coming out these days so it's not something I would be shocked or invested in. It's a good thing. Your sexuality isn't something you should have to hide. You should be free to live your life. I just don't personally care. It reminds me of a true life episode about people coming out. There was more than one we already knew/okay I'm happy for you (shoulder shrug). That's basically where I'm at now.

I was scared that champions were going to work their way back into being able to compete for the win. I'm glad that's not the case just because we've seen it so many damn times.

We still kind of have the same problem though. There are still cliques and people that have been on multiple seasons and gained enough ground to slide to the end just like any other season.

  14. I enjoyed the premier. This show was never amazing television, but it does a good job of sparking conversations and introspection.

I like that they get people for this show that are off the beaten path shall we say. We have plenty of bland, similar looking/acting people on these shows. Some diversity in not just race but lifestyles, values, etc. is always appreciated.

You just have to find people open to different types and not caught up on preferences.

This show is also easy to fly through. That's what the dvr is for. Something I don't care about, I keep pushing.

My fear for the first rejection at the altar was that the bride would look down the altar and nope right on out of there without going down or saying anything to the groom. Thankfully we did not have that.

  15. This is the thing.

Uche wasn't the devil on Lydia's side of things at any point until now.

She was even thrilled to hear him in the pods and give it a go.

I trust nothing either Uche or Lydia say. They are both untrustworthy.

I'm also not mad how the guys talk to women. What I mean by that is always look at it is, talk to everyone with some level of respect. No adult needs to bully anyone. A bunch of these people need to grow up.

Loving season 5. I'm just here for the entertainment. Whether it be drama, or love, or interesting couple dynamics.

I don't think I'm understanding why Izzy is so mad at Johnie. I mean...didn't she broke up with Chris right after Izzy kept saying he wanted someone that wanted him (or something like that)? Then he chose someone else that he's into.

She also talked tons of shit about the woman he's with. His demeanor is not justified but its not confusing why he would want to have a go at her.

I hope Jared takes revenge on Cory this coming week.  Or at least Cam will take that smug Cory down.  I, as you can guess, cannot stand Cory in the least.  And now even more so with that stupid mustache he has grown.

I can't personally see myself routing for Jared over anyone else or for that person being seen as smug. Jared is also a smug prick IMO. At least Cory stopped playing Jared and his moms game while deciding to fight to survive.

It took 3 times in a row to finally "beat" Cirie.  What a cowardly gang-up on her.

She's basically had a free ride this whole time. It was time for her to win when it counted. Strategic behind the scenes play can only get you so far. Also, Jared was ultimately the target. His shield needed to be removed.

  17. Damn, I waited all day to see if more comments would come up and one did. Just one.

Well I'll add that I have never I liked someone that was formely on any reality show jumping on big brother. I don't watch survivor but I wouldn't want it then either. Only Amazing Race works or the challenge since they surrounded by reality TV people.

This show...hell no. I just watched another episode orbiting around one person whether she was on screen or not. Dominant alliances arent even that interesting to me unless its a interesting/evolving storyline like the cookout.

Can we get a revolt already. Stop letting people run away with this.

Who the hell in Amanda?  She obviously came along after I stopped watching which was around the time they started bringing in people from other MTV shows.  She seems like she came from Jersey Shore.

She came from Are You the One just like Tori and Devin among others while that show was going strong on MTV.

I totally missed the point of why the people gathering fruit and ziplining  had to be naked, but whatever.

Now LaShonna gets to complain that she was eliminated due to implicit bias and racism.

It was a part of embracing the free spirit/loss of conventional methods of living that went on at the time of the original experiment. Also, it's reality tv.

And LaShonna wouldn't be wrong. This is just another instance of the fear of the angry black man/woman. It's also the problem of not having enough people of color of this boat. You have multiple white women making a mountain out of one innocuous/chest thumping statement with Russell being the only outright ally and being able to think logically about it.

  20. Watchung Pete Holmes vs Jared Padalecki. Jared's friend saying microwaved fish for scent you would be shocked see as a perfume/scent and hitting number one with food/Broccoli is pure nonsense to me. I assume they just wanted to group all food related answers they got together but I don't think you should be able to say literally any food and hit.

I read that quite a few of the former Gladiators turned down the offer to appear due to the creator that's still allowed to speak about the show.

They weren't involved in the 30 for 30 not this one for the post part. Other than say Gemini and Sabre, there aren't that many major Gladiators on that one.

Not to be shallow but the women aged remarkably well. Especially Ice and Blaze. No knock on the guys. Most of them look great too. Then there is...Tower.

Just joking. He aged well enough. It just also looks like he literally shrunk.
