  1. I'm confused, I thought in the very first episode when Jack goes to get Will to assist he mentions him having Asperger's and says something about how Will uses his glasses to avoid eye contact.
  2. Thank you @Cattitude! I knew I wasn't completely crazy. I mean aside from the fact that I want this show to make sense, which is clearly asking a bit too much. That being said I still love it and I can't help it.
  3. @Captanne I think because these specific episodes are Doctor Who episodes.
  4. HA! Especially since it isn't true! Lard has 40 percent saturated fat butter is at 60 and lard has 45% monounsaturated fat (the "good" fat) whereas butter has 23%. Clearly less fat in general is better but lard is technically better for you than butter.
  5. Oh you're right ! I'm just so confused about what counted as "witch magic" and what didn't. I realize this is a dumb thing to get hung up on considering what is happening on this show.
  6. Ugh @photo fox you're totally right. I could see that being exactly what happens. I'm with you in not wanting to see it but it does seem very "Grey's" which is annoying.
  7. Me too @Bella! Me too. I'm not a big mayo person in general and it always squicks me out when people bake with it. I know it's ok and all but it gives me the squicks badly for some reason.
  8. @Ms.Sherlock it's mostly just shorthand, we say paycheck or check but many professionals at this point get direct deposit (wages credited to your bank account) though there are millions of Americans who still get actual checks (cheques) because a lot of people here don't have bank accounts.
  9. OOH! Good question @immortalfrieza! I can't remember exactly everything but didn't he just show up "solid" in the caves? I guess I'm wondering if someone dug up his grave would his body be in it?
  10. @Queasy-bo I was thinking the same thing about the lasagna portions! My 90 year old grandfather would eat one of those roll ups, not 3! Depending on health restrictions and stuff though the amount of fat in there didn't bother me. Sometimes it is really hard for elderly people to keep weight on so maybe for a healthy 90 year old with no cholesterol problems it isn't a big deal? I'm also guessing (or hoping) that those meals aren't all the poor woman has or she's going to be really sick of soup and lasagna really quick!
  11. Hey gang, we created a Speculation Without Spoilers topic and I moved a bunch of the Felicity speculation posts over there just for the sake of continuity. If you are looking for that conversation here's where to find it. The posts are still in the order they were here. Thanks!
  12. @annzeepark914 I called it Small Talk: Don't Tell Jeffrey because Ina says "Don't tell Jeffrey" all the time. If you look in our other forums all the Small Talk topics have some sort of jokey bit after the topic title, that's just the one we picked for this show. The pinned post at the top of every page in here indicates that it's a "small talk" topic, for non show specific talk. A social topic. @Lura there is also an old episodes topic here and a recipes topic here. I can remove the "Don't tell Jeffrey" if you all really think it's confusing but since there's a pinned post I don't really see how it would be.
  13. Ok, I'll buy that about the rings, but what about Jeremy? Wasn't he fully brought back to life by Bonnie? I mean I'm good with it, it just seemed a bit like they were forgetting some things.
  14. @Cattitude, another question, if the traveler's spell was going to rid the town of witch magic why would these idiots send Jeremy and Matt back to town? Aren't they both only alive because of their rings and Bonnie's bringing Jeremy back from the dead? Wouldn't the undo of magic kill both of them?
  15. @Endeavour here's my script for getting cheaper cable or cell phone deals with my existing provider. Always be really over the top polite and say "I guess I'm just confused because you have X deal where new customers get this service for X price which is Y cheaper than what I pay, so it seems like what you're saying is you want me to cancel my service with you and go to another company that offers me a better deal, I honestly don't want to do that because I've had such a good relationship with your company for Z years and I'm sure that your company isn't saying that the smart thing for me to do is to discontinue my service but I just don't know how else to handle this situation." Generally at some point during this speech they'll interrupt you to give you the lower price that they totally can give you.
  16. Well now I'm a weepy mess @Chip . Thanks! (Seriously thanks, that was great!)
  17. I am so happy! I was really concerned about this one. Oh yay! Another season of this insanity! I cannot wait!
  18. Hey guys, just letting you know that if you @ mention someone here the system will automatically bold the name and notify, you can't @ mention yourself so for the sake of example, if you typed @Lisin and then hit reply you would see Lisin and I would get a notification. This isn't always perfect and sometimes it doesn't work due to bugs but it's a neat feature I wanted to let you know about. Thanks!
  19. So, everyone on this show is doing a terrible job explaining the whole "Sonja may lose her house" thing. She was sued by that film company and lost. She was supposed to pay them 8.5 million, the lawsuit put her in a shitty financial position so she declared bankruptcy (a Chapter 11) which is to restructure her assets. The film company countersued and won so her original judgment of 8.5 million was not allowed to be written off by the bankruptcy, the film company then filed a lien on her assets meaning she can't get any loans on them and cannot sell any of them without first paying off the 8.5 million to the film company. The reason that everyone keeps saying "She could lose her house" is that the film company could in theory foreclose on those liens, but they probably won't because foreclosure sales never actually make the full market price of the property and I'm not even sure the house is worth that much. It appears she owns the house outright so it isn't a bank possibly foreclosing, it's this judgment lien, which like I said probably won't foreclose. According to this she's renting it out for $25,000/month so I'm going to guess that she's come up with a payment plan or something. Let me know if any of that was confusing!
