  1. For the sake of brevity... no. Just because a lawsuit is not immediately thrown out of court or just because a motion to dismiss isn't granted does not automatically mean that the defendant is going to lose and the plaintiff is going to win.
  2. Meanwhile I assumed Keith or Logan got the dog for Veronica because she kept asking for a pony!
  3. Omg Logan beating up the fiancée’s family to Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You was HILARIOUS to me. And the whole Bruce Banner/Hulk always angry stuff is just hitting me right in the feels.
  4. I’m just loving it so far! It feels much more like the show than the movie did if that makes sense.
  5. Yes! Everyone please see the mod note in here re. spoilers (or, just, don't spoil things!)
  6. As @lambertman just said, Hulu has released Season 4 a week early, which means 1) YAYYYYY but also 2) if you're reading this thread from this point forward you might be legitimately full on spoiled not just spoiled by speculation about pictures etc. The show is out so read the rest of this thread and internet in general at your own risk! Lets get binging Marshmallows!!
  7. Hulu just pulled a fast one on everyone and released the entire season a week early, so episode threads are unlocked, please remember to not spoil future episodes in the episode threads. Thanks! Your Mods, @Athena and @Lisin
  8. Moving this forward since it appears it was lost in the conversation. Stop talking about Ree's fans. State your opinion about Ree etc. all you want but we aren't here to judge anyone who may like her/the show etc.
  9. Not without a prescription. Which she has so it's kind of a moot point but still. They're prescription only. I've got the same exact allergy as Beth (along with a ton of others) and I'm SUPER careful but still get cross contaminated every now and then. It sucks but it happens. I'd never think Miso would have fish in it, as I generally consider it to be a vegetarian choice. I'd have done exactly what she did except my husband would have given me my epi-pen when I stopped breathing as he was calling 911. Epi-pen use isn't the "end" of the situation, it's just supposed to keep you alive until you can get the other antihistamines in your system.
  10. While discussing race issues brought up in this topic please remember that the policy here at Primetimer is Be Civil, which means you may not "snark" or "call out" each other, only the people on the show. Please keep this in mind during further discussions. If you cannot be civil you will receive a warning which may limit your posting ability.
  11. Guys, please stop making fun of the Facebook fans. It's against the site's policy to make fun of fandoms. You can make fun of Ree and the rest of her family etc. and the show all you want but don't bring the fans into it. Thanks.
  12. Michael Rosenbaum's podcast is having "Smallville Week" if anyone is interested! He's had Al and Miles one episode and then Kristen so far.
  13. Remember to please keep your comments to the show and not your fellow posters.
  14. Another one here, can't edit, report, quote etc.
  15. If anyone wants to nominate any Real Housewives stuff (Least Favourite Reality Person perhaps...) in the Primetimer Awards the nominations are open here.
  16. Just popping in to let y'all know the Primetimer Awards are taking nominations now here if you have any fun Real Housewives stuff to nominate!
  17. MAN! LVP in Vienna... or basically at the Harris Teeter by Dunn Loring Metro. I have a friend who lives in those apartments and I'm SO MAD he didn't tell me this was happening lol!
  18. All correct however, there's not normally (that I've ever seen in 15+ years working at various firms) any discount for having a retainer. It's just normally required, some are small and just for the sake of having it, some clients don't have one at all (think big "we know they can pay" businesses or very small cases that aren't going to bill much). The attorney and firm decide how much retainer they're going to require based on a ton of different variables like size of case, income of client, length of case, litigation possibilities, and other variables. They say "Ok, here's your engagement letter, sign and return it with your retainer payment of X and boom we're your lawyers" some large corporate style clients have a fairly low ($5,000ish) monthly retainer that covers "emails and brief phone calls" so they only get bills if they ask for extra work, like to create documents etc. Generally for a Matt style lawyer he'd just kinda guess at approximately how much the case will end up costing and ask for a retainer based on that and the amount of risk the attorney/firm is willing to hold in regards to the potential of a client not paying. The firm/attorney then puts those funds into an IOLTA account and then bills as normal but at the end of the month they draw the payment for the bill from the retainer in the IOLTA rather than billing the client... unless the client is high risk and has a non-diminishing retainer agreement meaning the funds are held in IOLTA, and paid out normally but then also the client is billed the amount to replenish the retainer. All of this is to say it's very closely monitored, Matt's a moron who should be disbarred and in jail HE'S SUCH AN IDIOT.
  19. Yes. Cats... dogs... they're not the brightest.
  20. The bolded part above is the important phrase. All cases have to be either dismissed or ruled on, and any case that settles asks for a dismissal order, generally when all parties agree to a settlement the case is then dismissed with prejudice (or without, depending on the settlement and what the parties are requesting). It is no indication at all of what the value of the case is. If it were dismissed with prejudice by the Court after a hearing where one side asked for the case to be dismissed and the other side argued against it THAT would be cause to think there was no case, but an agreed motion/order for dismissal based on a settlement simply means the case settled, and they dismissed with prejudice so no one can go back on the settlement later.
