I’ve been looking online for gas availability in various counties today and it’s not good.  Even if you find a station with gas, the line is a mile long and I’m not exaggerating.  Man, I hope this improves very soon.  I don’t think I’ll go to church tomorrow.....saving gas.  And, wouldn’t you know that the grocery store clerk failed to put my chicken in my bag yesterday.  The plan was to get all I needed for the weekend when I stopped at the store, so I wouldn’t need to drive this weekend.  I did get my salad ingredients, pasta and wine! I’m making do.  It’s not worth it to dive to the grocery store just for chicken.

@SunnyBeBe, I live in the same area of NC as you and my husband used Gas Buddy to find gas stations that had gas.  He was able to find some at our local Eagle station.

Can those who had a lot of pain, muscle aches, fatigue, etc. after their second shot post which vaccine they got?

I had the Pfizer vaccine and boy did that second shot knock me for a loop.  No arm pain, but muscle aches, fatigue, headache, and vomiting. That lasted 6 hours, then I took a 2 hour nap and was back to normal after that.  With the first shot I had arm pain a little worse than a flu shot.  I am 65.

  3. I retired at the end of July 2020, and its the best thing I have ever done.  Staying home during the pandemic is a no brainer for me as well.  I did miss a step coming down the stairs and broke my left leg right above the ankle, but I am healing nicely.  It is great to have a knee scooter, takes me everywhere I need to go!  Happy New Year everyone!

  4. @Ohiopirate02 My family is the same way, Christmas decorations do not go up until after Thanksgiving and don't come down until Epiphany (Jan 6th).  I was raised Episcopalian.   My children are out of the house, so it's just my husband and me so we put up a small crab pot tree.  Growing up, my mother would not decorate the tree until mid December as well,  my sister said it wasn't decorated until Christmas Eve, but I don't remember that.

  5. My daughter is engaged and her and her fiancee have set a date for Jun 2021.  But they have also started to talk about a contingency plan if North Carolina is still limiting large gatherings next year.  They will "elope" on the planned wedding day with parents, and siblings in attendance.  No more than 10 people tops.  Then once they are able to have a party then they will get married again, this time by her uncle and have the reception.  I am proud of them for thinking about this already.  Her ex is getting married this weekend and is not limiting attendance. Hopefully it won't be a spreader event.
